Is there a way to reset the device and start all over again. The person who set this up is no longer with the companyand did not detail the information. We installed a new t1 line with new IP addresses and need to set this to connectwith our remote location. And I am not knowledgeable at all on how to configure this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have not worked with ASDM in a while. I have a 5510, with asdm-645.bin in the flash. The device runs version 8.4(2). I can download ASDM from the http interface of the firewall from the management interface. But I can not log in. I have used blank username and password, no username and enable password, blank username with enable password and a few other permutations. I then tried to connect to the asdm interface from inside also. But I can not connect. Needless to say, I have enabled http, and updated the http access-list. The only logging I have enabled is buffered. Is there any configuration that I am missing? Shall I cut and past the config?

The last time I logged on to the firewall was last week and I am the only person with access to it. I used a backup account to login and was able to, but on the menu bar the "Configuration" button is missing.

I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website.We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. It doesn't work. I have tried IE7, Chrome, Firefox and they all have the same problem. The laptop runs IE8 and has the same problem.I can ping the page successfully. I can traceroute the page successfully. I can't nslooup any site at all. Click refresh to continue" and the log reads "FTP Error. Dreamweaver could not connect to server." I haven't taken my desktop anywhere to try to see if it works on a different network. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.

I found some sites that talked about "A" script not knowing that it is a new line and tries to send additional chare to the terminal. Obviously not specific to this script.Do I need to escape the end of line with a ' or ' for it to know that it is a new command? The majority of laptops are Latitude and the workstations OptiPlex although most of the laptops have BitLocker activated. We also use Empirum software to push out software.
I have been looking around and into using the Dell Client Configuration Utility and also the OpenManage tool although I'm not too sure if they would work for us due to us using BitLocker.
I have a TP-Link Wireless Router (TL-WR340G) and I use it for both Wired and Wireless connection. I have two desktops that connects to the router through cables and I also have 2 notebooks that connects through WiFi.
Now, I want to know if there is any software that can generate passwords which I can assign into individual PCs that connects with Wifi. For example, Notebook #1 has the password "abcdefghij" and the Notebook #2 has the password "1234567890" and they can both connect to the WLAN.
We've a Cisco ASA 5505 connected directly to Verizon FiOS Circuit (ONT) box using Ethernet cable. As per the existing documention that I have, the previous configured this as a dedicated router to establish a seperate VPN connection our software provider. They assigned both Public Static and Local Static IP address. When I try to ping the public IP address, it says request time out; so the public IP address is no longer working.
When I ping the local IP address of 192.168.100.11, it responds. The SolarWind tool also shows Always UP signal. How can I login into this router either from remotely or locally to check the configuration, backup and do the fimrware upgrade?
I also tried to connect my laptop directly to the ASA 5505 router LAN port. After 3 minutes, I'm able to connect to Internet without any issues. However I don't know the IP address to use to login.

I recently purchased a new laptop computer and since I already had a wireless router I thought that I could get on line easy but, it seems the password I had written down does not work. I called my cable co. Charter to see if they could correct it. Well Charter changed it to something only God knows. I've installed Cisco ACS 5.3. After I created several internal users (defined password and enabled password), Identiy Groups, Access Polices, Network Devices and AAA Clients (e.g. Cisco 1841) for Radius and configured my Router like this:

Now I'm able to login successful using my internal User. But if I try to use enable to enter the enable level I'll receive the message "% Error in authentication." when I use the defined enable password.
In the ACS logging I'll can see that "$enab15$" is missing. If I setup a user name "$enab15" I can login to enable level, but what have I to do, to use the custom enable passwords?

I am having a curious problem with two Cisco ASA 5550. They are configured in Active/Standby failover and in routed mode.The problem is: I cannot connect via SSH to the ACTIVE unit, only to the STANDBY. If a switchover is forced the problem is still the same. because it happens both with the primary and the secondary unit.It is not a L2 or a transport problem, because I can ping or access both units via ASDM.
