I share a modem and router with my building, and connect to the internet using an ethernet cable which plus right into the wall in my apartment. When I hover over the network/internet icon it tells me that I have a local connection only and can't get online. No changes were made to my computer between it working and not working - I have not installed any new software and the modem+router have not been changed.
When I try ipconfig/release is says it can't perform the operation while the media is disconnected. It also tells me that "an error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1: The system cannot find the fie specified".
We have an ASR1002 with asr1000rp1-adventerprisek9.03.05.01.S.152-1.S1.bin software.I couldn't find any documentation on how to attach an L2 interface, in my case a subinterface with a single dot1q vlan, to a BDI interface.I'm able to create a bridge-domain interface but it's down down. The command bridge-domain on the subinterface url...
I have a requirement to provide stats on a per-department, per-destination basis between sites. If I take Voice as an example I have 5 child classes referring to the 5 departments each matching EF and a particular access-list that matches the department's subnet. I tie these 5 child classes into a parent Voice class-map.
Now when I issue a "show policy-map interface" command I see stats for the parent class-map only whereas I would expect to see a breakdown for each of the child classes which is what is required.
I have an Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs) made and trying to test the Gigabit Interface on a 3845 Router with a fail result. The interface will show up/up only if I set the interface to 100M/Full Duplex when I plug-in the Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs). I don't see this Gigabit Interface @ 3845 router has any option to set it to internal or external loopback.
We have a RV042. remote management is set to DISABLE - but even after restarting the router i can access the interface remotely over the internet.even when i enable it and change the port to say 5555 i can connect to the web interface using either port 5555 but ALSO on port 80.what's wrong here?the only way to stop that was to create a rule that blocks port 80 on the WAN interface. (btw. could this rule affect LAN users when browsing the web?)
We use Cacti to get interfaces statistics of a ASR1002 router (version 03.04.02.S.151-3.S2).A new GRE tunnel has been created, but unfortunately we are not able to get basic interface average during the day. What is surprising is the fact the graphs are built on the night only.
It seems as soon as we exceed some level of Bandwidth (~ 700-800k) the tool does not get the information. The OID I try to get are ifHCInOctets (.22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.1.1.6) and ifHCOutOctets (.188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.1.1.10) and some other interface statistics for both 64 and 32 bits. I setup a site to site vpn between location A and location B.The setup is working and both location can see each other. Now the problem is last weekend the vpn is not UP although the Internet is accesibble. The solution is i power off - on the ASA 5510 and the vpn connection is UP again. This already occurs 2 times. The 1st times is 4 month back. The 1st time i thought is nothing, but the 2nd time, I really need to know what wrong?I attach the configuration of the ASA 5510 at location A that i reboot.
I have a Windows 7 machine that is wired to the router. I have Windows XP computer that is wireless in another room. Signal is showing 80% and internet is accessible and fast from both systems; but, I cannot access either computer from the other computer. I got the IP addresses of each machine and I cannot ping from either direction. Firewalls are turned off on both systems. When I type in \server, I get an error that say I should check my spelling or use the windows Search; but, that doesn't work.
I have a Motorola Affix and am using the app printershare to print from my phone to a network printer at home.. it works great.. but I want to know if there is a way to make the printer accesable from the internet so I can print from pt phone when im not home and connected to the network...accessible
My pc (windows7) will say its connected.. It even says internet access.. But when I click in the Internet?THE WEB PAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE. It says the DNS lookup failed. But the thing is... all my friends bring their laptops over (Mac & Pc) and try work fine. Even my phone catches the wifi perfectly in my house. I started to think maybe it was the laptop but the laptop word great on wifi at my job, my friends house, and pretty much anywhere with wifi but my house. I have wifi through bright house and they came to my house one day but they ended up not doing anything because they can only make sure there device (router) works perfectly. Ok.. So I took the laptop to best buy's geek squad and the guy "reseted my network card" & told me it should e fine when I got home.. Nope. Didn't work. I have spent hours looking trough the Internet trying things that people recommended I do. (start, run, cmd) I've tried it all. It just won't work. I really need this laptop to work at home because I do a lot of work from the pc. I hope somebody on here could point me into the right direction before I give up & toss this laptop in the shed and be forced to purchase a new one.
Would it be possible to make a printer accessible from internet? Need to print a lot of batch printing from my cloud application , in that case can we direct this print job to a specific printer over internet ?
I have a DVR system. Which is configure in DMZ on my firewall. DVR internal IP is 192.168.2.13 and external IP is 27.34.xxx.xx. when I am able to access DVR by using internal IP and it works fine while accessing from the internet it not work proper. Though it prompt for username and password also. After enter the login credential its getting blank. I am able to telnet External IP from internet on port 80.
I purchased an IP Cam for my girl friend to monitor her dog, she lives in an apartment complex that provides internet. I have been able to get the camera setup at my house to be accessed through the internet. I have a cable modem and a router, setup a dyndns account, port forwarded my router and boom it worked. Went to my gf's apartment and I didn't think of it at first until I was frustrated, but realized the apartment complex probably has a router of its own. I can access the cam on her LAN but not through the internet.
Internet access is working fine, however I cannot get my computers to work on the network therefore cant share any files or play any network games. The router is set up as DHCP server therefore IPs are automatically assigned, this is setup on the PCs and the router. The work group is also set. Exactly same settings basically as my old router which worked fine but wont on this one! I have 3 wired PCs and a wireless laptop. 2 PCs are windows XP the other is Windows 7 and the laptop is windows 7. The wireless win7 laptop will recognize my win7 wired PC and vice versa and can share everything without problems, but they wont have anything to do with the wired winxp PCs, on top of that the 2 winxp wont recognize each other either so don't think its anything platform specific. I have also tried setting up static IPs for each computer - still no joy. This is a brand new D-Link DIR-655 Rev B1 firmware 2.00
I just got my dad's old notebook (VAIO VPC F223FB) which is better than my older one. So, I did a backup and then managed to clean install a Windows 7 Professional x64.At first I had a problem with the drivers, because the internet wasn't connecting and the USB ports weren't detecting my External Drive. So, I tested other USB port and got it. Installed the drivers and I could connect to the wireless network. But it doesn't detect the ethernet cable! And I want it detecting because then it's faster. I already tried downloading the Ethernet Controller driver. At first, I downloaded through Sony's support site but it didn't recognize the driver. Now, it recognizes but still doesn't connect it. And when I tried Solving Connection Problems, it said the network gateway was accessible but Windows can't receive Internet network traffic.
I have IIS running in a machine inside my network and I would like to make is visible to the world wide web.To do that, I created a website in the port 8787, which is accessible when the user types 192.168.0.126:8787 in the browser. Of course it works only when the user is inside my network.(IIS running over windows server 2008 OS)Now I want to make it visible to the WWW, so I created a rule to make a port forwarding to it:I went to: Advanced > Virtual Servers and created a rule with the given information:
enabled Name: website private ip: 192.168.0.126 protocol: both private port: 8787 public port: 8787 Schedule: always
This rule created automatically a firewall rule
Enabled Alow Source: WAN * Destination: LAN 192.168.0.126 Protocol: * Port range:8787 always
Unfortunately it isn't enough, if I type myPublicIp:8787 I can't access the website because I either get "connection reset" error or a timeout.I pluged my computer directly in my modem and it worked perfectly. To make a test, I tried to enable the router remote administration on the port 10001. It didn't work.ps: my wireless router is a dlink di-524, I am writing this in this forum because I couldn't find the one related to my router...
I am facing issue with using IP SLA544, I am given a project in office and need to implement policy based routing, for some reasons i want to use loopback for it.I have 2 routers A and B, I just want if traffic from 216.0 network comes on A set next hop to routers B looback interface. Can i do it? its working fine with physical interfaces but not with loop back. This loop back is reachable and from router A if i telnet the loopback IP of B it actually gets me to Router B as well.
I have a setup with a few sites that have layer three switches behind firewalls. I've been successful in setting up GRE tunnels between all the layer three switches, the GRE traverses IPsec which goes between the firewalls at each site. That way, the GRE is encrypted over the Internet and I don't have to deal with protocol forwarding and stuff. The GRE tunnels are terminated at the loopback addresses of each layer three switch, this works well for the most part, except that I need to put static routes for each loopback address in each switch to point via the firewalls, because when OSPF comes up over the GRE tunnels it starts advertising the loopbacks, and as such the switches think they can get to them over the GRE (which is built from the loopbacks to begin with), as you can see, sort of a catch 22. The static route method works fine, but it makes it so that I can't access the loopback address for monitoring/management purposes from any other sites on the basis that the local core tries to send it directly to the firewall rather than over the GRE tunnel. Is there any way to force only the GRE traffic out via the firewall while letting any other loopback-destined traffic go over the GRE? I'm thinking this could be done with a properly-matching route-map, but I'm not sure where I would apply it, could I apply it directly to the loopback or would the GRE traffic skip that on the way out?
I have 2 ASA 5505, with a site-2-site vpn, I need to reach a server on network A on port 7887 from Network B.The 2 boxes are both on a public net and has a private net inside. When initiating a telnet session from a Host on network B, to a ip 220.127.116.11 /24 (which is defined as my remote network in the connection profile)I can see the trafic arriving on the ASA on network A, but the trafic gets rejected with the following.
Built local-host outside:VPN-TEST_18.104.22.16802: VPN-TEST_22.214.171.124 7887 Teardown TCP connection 398765 for outside:VPN-TEST_x.x.x.x/16698 to outside:VPN-TEST_126.96.36.199/7887 duration 0:00:00 bytes 0 Flow is a loopback03: Teardown local-host outside:VPN-TEST_188.8.131.52 duration 0:00:00.I'm a newbee with the ASA 5505, and connot figure out why this is a loopback ?
I've got some 1941 ciscos set on every branch. We have native L2 between this offices and I want to use external ip addresses on gig 0 interfaces anfdf local ip addresses on lo 0 interfaces, and use lo 0 for vpn connections.
int gig 0/0 ip add 192.168.181.14 255.255.255.0 ip nat outside
I can ping it from local network behind giga 0/1 but i can't ping it fro outside, how can i do this?
I have a cisco router 2811 connected on other two routers but can't ping any of them from any of them too (frame-relay encap correct) DLCI mapping ok all ip configured only router 2 's line protocol is up the rest is down on others and seems LMI sent are not receive and do know how correct that
I would like to be able to use NAT loopback on a Cisco EPC3925 so that I can refer from my iPad to the webserver that is located on my iMac on the same LAN by using the external site name. Is that possible and if so, how can I configure the router?
I am working at a client site today. The client has a large Frame Relay Hub Spoke network. The Hub is at the HQ location, and then there are about 15 spoke sites in remote offices.
We are having an issue with the frame between the HQ and one of the spokes. We are currently working with our dear friends at AT&T to troubleshoot the issue. AT&T yesterday was trying to run a local loop test to the router at the remote (spoke) end. We were working iwth them in trying to put the remote router (which we manage) into a loopback mode. We were trying to use controller commands
COOP-Rappahanock#conf t Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller ? % Unrecognized command COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller
That we seem to run out of options...
How can we put the subinterface that is the other end fo the frame into loopback mode so that a local loop test can be done between us and AT&T (provider)?
This is one of the standard issue vodafone routers. So i set up web-server on my laptop, and it is accessible to the internet now.
However I need to be able to access it from my machine using the public address. But I just cannot find where to enable nat loopback. I looked for options in both regular and advanced user logins (web interfaces). So I suppose the last option is telneting into it, and using commands to do it.. but I don't know how to access it (cant find the credentials). URL
In above link it says that i can find this info in configuration file, but how to access it?
And then what commands should I use to enable the NAT loopback?
I wonder if there is no any issue when we are using one loopback interface as source address in case multiple GRE tunnel. However, the destination IP address different per each tunnel, only having same source loopback.
for example), interface loo0 ip address a.a.a.a 255.255.255.0 ! interface tunnel 10
I saw warning message when I apply 2nd GRE tunnel on C7613, SRD6 IOS. we have a plan to enagle one more GRE tunnel in same.I need to decide to use adding one more loopback IP or just use this with ignoring warning message in terms of configuration easily.
In my home network, I have a Synology. It has 10.0.123.123 as local IP address on my local network and it can be accessed by internet with the dynamic domain name.So when I'm home, I have to use 10.0.123.123 to access it, and when I'm away, I have to use trucmuche.diskstation.me.Would it be possible to configure the EA3500 to redirect the domain name "trucmuche.diskstation.me" to 10.0.123.123 when I use the domain name inside my home ?A friend told me that I had to configure "loopback" but I don't know how..
I have a Windows 7 64 Bit machine, and I cannot find a way to disable the IPv6 Loopback. I looked at the article at How to disable IP version 6 or its specific components in Windows and shows how to set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpip6ParametersDisabledComponents to various values – but none of these seems to disable IPv6 Loopback. I attempted setting this value to 0xffffffff and 0x20 – restarting my computer after each change, and I still do not get this disabled.
I am using another software called Webdriver or Selenium that gives errors when debugging if IPv6 Loopback is not disabled. It seems to attempt to connect to [::1]:7055 and fails. Is there a way to force it to connect to 127.0.0.1.
