Cisco WAN :: Loopback Testing On 2610 Router

I am working at a client site today. The client has a large Frame Relay Hub Spoke network. The Hub is at the HQ location, and then there are about 15 spoke sites in remote offices.
We are having an issue with the frame between the HQ and one of the spokes. We are currently working with our dear friends at AT&T to troubleshoot the issue. AT&T yesterday was trying to run a local loop test to the router at the remote (spoke) end. We were working iwth them in trying to put the remote router (which we manage) into a loopback mode. We were trying to use controller commands

I'm looking to test fram relay connections in a lab environment i'm building at home. I have a couple of 2610 routers that are barebones and am looking to get some serial modules. Are (2) WIC-2T's all I would need to create those test connections? Also on a side note are the any modules for the 2610 that have fast ethernet connections. I would like to have that so I can create a router on a stick model off of the 2600's.

I have a Cisco 2610 series router(Version 12.0(5)T1, c2600-i-mz.120-5.T1), which has a network module inserted. I would like to view the model of this network module. There are no "show inventory" or "show platform" commands. "Show version" doesn't list the network module as well. In addition, it appears to have a "show c2600" command, but this doesn't display any hardware information.

This is one of the standard issue vodafone routers. So i set up web-server on my laptop, and it is accessible to the internet now.
However I need to be able to access it from my machine using the public address. But I just cannot find where to enable nat loopback. I looked for options in both regular and advanced user logins (web interfaces). So I suppose the last option is telneting into it, and using commands to do it.. but I don't know how to access it (cant find the credentials). URL
In above link it says that i can find this info in configuration file, but how to access it?
And then what commands should I use to enable the NAT loopback?

I have a cisco 2610 router connected to satellite modem (CDM-600). Cisco has NM-2W module with WIC-2T card, one port of this card is connected to modem via CAB-SS-530MT=, chassis WIC slot is filled with 2MFT-E1. Everything works fine for several hours. Then serial interface (connected to modem) goes down, and never comes up. I see following messages in the log. [code]

In my home network, I have a Synology. It has 10.0.123.123 as local IP address on my local network and it can be accessed by internet with the dynamic domain name.So when I'm home, I have to use 10.0.123.123 to access it, and when I'm away, I have to use trucmuche.diskstation.me.Would it be possible to configure the EA3500 to redirect the domain name "trucmuche.diskstation.me" to 10.0.123.123 when I use the domain name inside my home ?A friend told me that I had to configure "loopback" but I don't know how..

I purchase new router EA6500 for fiber optic network 100/200 (my old WRT56GL is too slow for this speed). Now i have big problem with NAT Loop back - didn't work. How can I corrected this error. All other services work OK. I need this function for my mail server and web server on my firm) - now I can't connect from local IP to my mail server and read messages. I have a 2610 router. How can I tell if the built-in ethernet port is only a 10BASE-T or if it's a 10/100 port? Is there a "Show" command to give me this information or did it only come one way? I have found conflicting information on this :-( If it's only 10BASE-T, can I upgrade it to 10/100?

Has anyone tested QoS on the new E3000? Whenever I add an application (e.g. Voice Device) and set priority to Medium or High, my upstream bandwidth for everything else is immediately cut significantly, even when I'm not using the priority application.
For example, with QoS disabled, I can consistently get 10Mb upstream (speedtest.comcast.net). As soon as I enable QoS, upstream is capped to exactly 2Mb! On my old router, there was an option to set the total upstream bandwidth -- but on the E3000 there is no such option that I can find.

I have developing a utility which lets a user do the following :-
1)Identify the internet gateway device / router using uPnP
2)Check for the portmappings present in the gateway
3)Add / remove a port mapping from the gateway device
4)some other functions like loopback interface testing etc
Now , I need a router simulator (or any other way )which supports the following to test my work uPnP+ NAT +can be configured using SOAP XML messages although this is not a requisite as I am using Microsoft's SDK for uPnP ?Host 3 (or may be 4 is the RAM allows) virtual machines , connect them into a subnetwork using this software and then testing for the above requirements .

I have an Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs) made and trying to test the Gigabit Interface on a 3845 Router with a fail result. The interface will show up/up only if I set the interface to 100M/Full Duplex when I plug-in the Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs). I don't see this Gigabit Interface @ 3845 router has any option to set it to internal or external loopback.

i recently bought and installed a working NM-16ESW into my cisco 2610.HOWEVER:i have tried different IOS's:c2600-ik9o3s-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.123-26.bin and unfortunately non of those IOS versions works with the NM-16ESW.Heres my SHOW DIAG command:

I've got three Cisco 1721's and a 2610, two of the 1721's are 32f's, the other one is a bit older but is still the same model. The two Cisco 1721 32f's have 1-dsu-t1-v2 wics in them, and the older 1721 has a 1-dsu-t1 wic in it. Now no matter how i have configured it the old t1 wic will not talk to the v2 wic. I've tried putting the old wic into a 1721 32f and it doesn't work at all!
What i have working:
router DCE (1721 32f with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with this configuration.
Router DCE:
-service-module t1 clock source internal
-service-module t1 data-coding normal

Router DTE:
-service-module t1 clock source line
-service-module t1 data-coding normal
[ code]....
Router OLD (1721 with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with same config. What doesn't work: Any router with 1-dsu-t1 (old) wic to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic). again same configuration as before, so whats going on that i cant get this to work? Is the old t1 wic not compatible with the new t1 wic?

I am facing issue with using IP SLA544, I am given a project in office and need to implement policy based routing,for some reasons i want to use loopback for it.I have 2 routers A and B, I just want if traffic from 216.0 network comes on A set next hop to routers B looback interface. Can i do it? its working fine with physical interfaces but not with loop back. This loop back is reachable and from router A if i telnet the loopback IP of B it actually gets me to Router B as well.

I have a setup with a few sites that have layer three switches behind firewalls. I've been successful in setting up GRE tunnels between all the layer three switches, the GRE traverses IPsec which goes between the firewalls at each site. That way, the GRE is encrypted over the Internet and I don't have to deal with protocol forwarding and stuff. The GRE tunnels are terminated at the loopback addresses of each layer three switch, this works well for the most part, except that I need to put static routes for each loopback address in each switch to point via the firewalls, because when OSPF comes up over the GRE tunnels it starts advertising the loopbacks, and as such the switches think they can get to them over the GRE (which is built from the loopbacks to begin with), as you can see, sort of a catch 22. The static route method works fine, but it makes it so that I can't access the loopback address for monitoring/management purposes from any other sites on the basis that the local core tries to send it directly to the firewall rather than over the GRE tunnel. Is there any way to force only the GRE traffic out via the firewall while letting any other loopback-destined traffic go over the GRE? I'm thinking this could be done with a properly-matching route-map, but I'm not sure where I would apply it, could I apply it directly to the loopback or would the GRE traffic skip that on the way out?

I have 2 ASA 5505, with a site-2-site vpn, I need to reach a server on network A on port 7887 from Network B.The 2 boxes are both on a public net and has a private net inside.When initiating a telnet session from a Host on network B, to a ip 172.210.210.56 /24 (which is defined as my remote network in the connection profile)I can see the trafic arriving on the ASA on network A, but the trafic gets rejected with the following.

I've got some 1941 ciscos set on every branch.We have native L2 between this offices and I want to use external ip addresses on gig 0� interfaces anfdf local ip addresses on lo 0 interfaces, and use lo 0 for vpn connections.
I do:
int gig 0/0
ip add 192.168.181.14 255.255.255.0
ip nat outside
I can ping it from local network behind giga 0/1 but i can't ping it fro outside, how can i do this?

I have a Cisoc 2610 connected to my network, 1 Ethernet port and a WIC-2T card. I have ther serial connection to the main router and the ethernet going to the switch. I can ping all device throught the network...but the 2610 can't ping any outside address (no internet connection). I have the internet connection going through my 3745 (which the 2610 is connected to via serial cable). I put a default route into the 2610 but still no luck.

I have 2 Procuve Switches one is 2650 were all the Department PC's & Wireless access points connected & second one is 2610 were i have the firewall connected,Active Directory & Windows DHCP Server
Switch 1- 2650
Ports
Port 1-16 is used by HR Department
Port17-32 is used by Finanace Department
Port 33-34 is used by Access Points
Port 41-48 is used by Users
Port 50 is used to uplink to switch 2610.What i wanted to achive is Isolcate Departments & Users & Access Points through VLAN from each other but they should be able to hit our Active directory for authentication, Firewall for internet & DHCP Server for IP's.

I'm working on my CCNA. I purchased an old router 2610 with two ethernet ports. I configured the IP addresses on the interfaces and added the default gateway. I configured NAT to go out my ATT DSL router to the internet. With the 2610, I'm able to ping the back end or internal DSL router, but I can't ping the front end, external router, or out to any internet site such as google.

i have 2 routers with a switch and pc connected to the switch. i am working on RIP and i enabled it on both routers.
my current set up is this:
PC---Switch(3550)---Router2(2610)---Router1(2610)--- Cable modem
I am able to ping from pc to Router1. I am able to ping 4.2.2.2 and google from Router1 but unable to ping it from Router 2 and pc.

Ive got my home lab setup with two 2610 routers hooked togeather with a DTE/DCE Crossover and I have OSPF configured on both routers. Each router has one 3550 switch connected to each FA0/0 inteface. The issue is that Everything can be pinged except my windows 7 PC connected to the R1 LAN. Everything else can be pinged from any other device. I checked the PC gateway configuration, disabled the firewall and checked my switch configuration! Is their something that I need to change in Windows?
