Cisco :: View Hardware Information Of 2610 Router?
Jan 6, 2012
I have a Cisco 2610 series router(Version 12.0(5)T1, c2600-i-mz.120-5.T1), which has a network module inserted. I would like to view the model of this network module. There are no "show inventory" or "show platform" commands. "Show version" doesn't list the network module as well. In addition, it appears to have a "show c2600" command, but this doesn't display any hardware information.
Is it possible to view extensive information about switch supervisor on WS-C4506 platform? I could use show module or show inventory, but this only displays the module name. For example how to view the amount of SRAM the SUP has? Or any other similar more detailed information?
I am working at a client site today. The client has a large Frame Relay Hub Spoke network. The Hub is at the HQ location, and then there are about 15 spoke sites in remote offices.
We are having an issue with the frame between the HQ and one of the spokes. We are currently working with our dear friends at AT&T to troubleshoot the issue. AT&T yesterday was trying to run a local loop test to the router at the remote (spoke) end. We were working iwth them in trying to put the remote router (which we manage) into a loopback mode. We were trying to use controller commands
COOP-Rappahanock#conf t Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller ? % Unrecognized command COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller
That we seem to run out of options...
How can we put the subinterface that is the other end fo the frame into loopback mode so that a local loop test can be done between us and AT&T (provider)?
I have a cisco 2610 router connected to satellite modem (CDM-600). Cisco has NM-2W module with WIC-2T card, one port of this card is connected to modem via CAB-SS-530MT=, chassis WIC slot is filled with 2MFT-E1. Everything works fine for several hours. Then serial interface (connected to modem) goes down, and never comes up. I see following messages in the log. [code]
I have a 2610 router. How can I tell if the built-in ethernet port is only a 10BASE-T or if it's a 10/100 port? Is there a "Show" command to give me this information or did it only come one way? I have found conflicting information on this :-( If it's only 10BASE-T, can I upgrade it to 10/100?
I am trying to setup 4 cameras to view with remote live view. I set up my server with IP addresses of 192.168.1.80 .... 85. The screen has only the option for 1 video channel. I have seen on-line screen shots that have options for channel 1 through 8. I want to assign each camera to a different channel so I will be able to use remote live view to show all 4 cameras at the same time. I can only show one at a time. Do I need a different version than 3.3 or some obscure windows 7 setting?
i recently bought and installed a working NM-16ESW into my cisco 2610.HOWEVER:i have tried different IOS's:c2600-ik9o3s-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.123-26.bin and unfortunately non of those IOS versions works with the NM-16ESW.Heres my SHOW DIAG command:
I am having problems trying to connect to my wi-fi. I first noticed that I had problems connecting to some types of unsecured wi-fi connections when I was "borrowing" from my neighbour while I waited for telus to install my internet. My two roommates would have no problem surfing but my computer was unable to get any connection to the internet (i could see the connections but never load a page)
Once telus came and installed the internet I was able to get a "fair" connection to the router and surf with decent speeds. About a week after I first started using the internet, my computer started being unable to connect the router. It seems that everything is getting worse and worse. It started by me having to restart the adapter a couple of times to make it work, to me having to delete the network profile and then redo it, to me only being able to connect by using the WPS.
And now my computer can't even get the information from the router through WPS! I would start to point the finger at telus, but every one of my roommates has no problems connecting to the internet, and it's not a range issue (i'm typing this up with my laptop while sitting beside my desktop).
I've got three Cisco 1721's and a 2610, two of the 1721's are 32f's, the other one is a bit older but is still the same model. The two Cisco 1721 32f's have 1-dsu-t1-v2 wics in them, and the older 1721 has a 1-dsu-t1 wic in it. Now no matter how i have configured it the old t1 wic will not talk to the v2 wic. I've tried putting the old wic into a 1721 32f and it doesn't work at all!
What i have working:
router DCE (1721 32f with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with this configuration.
Router DCE:
-service-module t1 clock source internal -service-module t1 data-coding normal
[ code].....
Router DTE:
-service-module t1 clock source line -service-module t1 data-coding normal
[ code]....
Router OLD (1721 with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with same config. What doesn't work: Any router with 1-dsu-t1 (old) wic to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic). again same configuration as before, so whats going on that i cant get this to work? Is the old t1 wic not compatible with the new t1 wic?
I have a prob with my laptops, wireless setup although it shows wlan on it will not work without a connection to the router, netgear wgr614,I have gone into Devise Mng and found the following faults,Serial cable IRDA problem code 43 & SRTSPX code 24 not working.
I currently set up two LAN networks. But one of them (Router 2) will be open (no password). Will this create a security compromise? Can the Router 2 Users access information of users of Router 1?
Modem WAN > Router 1 WAN Router 1 LAN > Router 2 WAN
The router 1 and 2 are broadcasting different networks and SSID.Is there any setting that I need to change, or this configuration is perfectly safe? both of them have DHCP enabled.
My site is thinking of using AP 2600 instead of the trusty AP 3502 since it has better thru put. Any experience on 2600 as we want to ensure stability for our deployment.
Linksys WRT54GL I need access to my router, but the default password and usernames do not work. I think hitting the reset button and holding it would set everything back to default, but will EVERYTHING but reset to default or just the password?
I have a home lab. I am trying to connect a 1710 to a 2610 with just using the fast ethernet ports. I understand that serial connections and t1 csu/dsu connections use clocking, etc. How can I configure FA ports to do the same AND be routable?
I'm looking to test fram relay connections in a lab environment i'm building at home. I have a couple of 2610 routers that are barebones and am looking to get some serial modules. Are (2) WIC-2T's all I would need to create those test connections? Also on a side note are the any modules for the 2610 that have fast ethernet connections. I would like to have that so I can create a router on a stick model off of the 2600's.
I have a Cisoc 2610 connected to my network, 1 Ethernet port and a WIC-2T card. I have ther serial connection to the main router and the ethernet going to the switch. I can ping all device throught the network...but the 2610 can't ping any outside address (no internet connection). I have the internet connection going through my 3745 (which the 2610 is connected to via serial cable). I put a default route into the 2610 but still no luck.
Here are the running configs:
2610: version 12.3 service timestamps debug uptime service timestamps log uptime
I have 2 Procuve Switches one is 2650 were all the Department PC's & Wireless access points connected & second one is 2610 were i have the firewall connected,Active Directory & Windows DHCP Server
Switch 1- 2650 Ports Port 1-16 is used by HR Department Port17-32 is used by Finanace Department Port 33-34 is used by Access Points Port 41-48 is used by Users
Port 50 is used to uplink to switch 2610.What i wanted to achive is Isolcate Departments & Users & Access Points through VLAN from each other but they should be able to hit our Active directory for authentication, Firewall for internet & DHCP Server for IP's.
My desktop pc is currently wired into myowireless router and my laptop is fully wireless. How do I send data(pictures, music etc) from my laptop to my desktop & vice versa?
Where I can bookmark a page with information on the Re-call of this router?I am pretty sure that this router is not under a re-call yet but after the endless amounts of discussions and problems folks have had with this thing it has to be recalled soon right?I don't want to loose faith in DLink products because like many I have owned them for years and years. A bad release is going to happen sooner or later but if the company does nothing about the problem it is time to move to a new brand.
At the very least when is the next firmware version going to be released? I have tried them all and none of them seem to work. I am well past the stage of troubleshooting because the problems I have like Way to many other people are not being solved by discussions and firmware changes or altering settings.
I'm working on my CCNA. I purchased an old router 2610 with two ethernet ports. I configured the IP addresses on the interfaces and added the default gateway. I configured NAT to go out my ATT DSL router to the internet. With the 2610, I'm able to ping the back end or internal DSL router, but I can't ping the front end, external router, or out to any internet site such as google.
I am able to ping from pc to Router1. I am able to ping 4.2.2.2 and google from Router1 but unable to ping it from Router 2 and pc.
Here is my config for Router1:
Current configuration : 1089 bytes ! version 12.4 service timestamps debug datetime msec service timestamps log datetime msec no service password-encryption
Ive got my home lab setup with two 2610 routers hooked togeather with a DTE/DCE Crossover and I have OSPF configured on both routers. Each router has one 3550 switch connected to each FA0/0 inteface. The issue is that Everything can be pinged except my windows 7 PC connected to the R1 LAN. Everything else can be pinged from any other device. I checked the PC gateway configuration, disabled the firewall and checked my switch configuration! Is their something that I need to change in Windows?
Windows PC ------------ 3550 Switch-------------R1-----------------------------------R2---------------------3550 Switch----------------------Linux Box
Windows PC can't ping past the FA0/0 interface between the switch and R1
I'm trying to view the logs from a Cisco 857W router to a workstation running the Kiwi Syslog server. what I've done is the following:
Config term
Logging on
Logging source-interface BVI1
Logging Facility Local7 (or any other facility you want to allocate for this router.)
Logging [IP Address or Hostname of machine running Kiwi Syslog Server]
End
I see noting on the syslog server. Although I can see the log information on the router Also is there a command to stop the logging from generating or is this on by default.
No changes made but router will lose all information for IPv connectivity. I have paid twice to support to fix this issue and it still occurs every few months. I tried rebooting router, and doing an IP Release/ Renew and router does not get IP address.
I am trying to monitor routers Cisco 2610, 2801 and 1760 with a monitoring software called zenoss. and I cant see on this devices the powersupply state, temperature sensor, fan state, i dont know if this models of routers cant support the monitoring of this component on the devices.what can i do to monitoring this component? what kind of Oid I can use to get this components state?
I recently installed an RE1000, which seemed to be working fine. Then, on 3 PC's with no wireless adapter installed we began being prompted for user name and password for the wireless router. Once I unplugged to extender the problem went away. I know what you're thinking: Maybe I just think there's no wireless adapter on these PC's. NO, I looked in device manager and the only network adapter installed is the ethernet adapter. These are all 4+ year old machines with no hardware changes made to them. Wireless adapters are not necessarily standard issue on old towers--even on new towers. The Acer I'm using right now was purchased new in November 2011 and did not come with a wireless adapter installed.
