Cisco :: Monitor Routers 2610 / 2801 And 1760 With Monitoring Software Called Zenoss?
Sep 4, 2011
I am trying to monitor routers Cisco 2610, 2801 and 1760 with a monitoring software called zenoss. and I cant see on this devices the powersupply state, temperature sensor, fan state, i dont know if this models of routers cant support the monitoring of this component on the devices.what can i do to monitoring this component? what kind of Oid I can use to get this components state?
I have a home lab. I am trying to connect a 1710 to a 2610 with just using the fast ethernet ports. I understand that serial connections and t1 csu/dsu connections use clocking, etc. How can I configure FA ports to do the same AND be routable?
I am able to ping from pc to Router1. I am able to ping 4.2.2.2 and google from Router1 but unable to ping it from Router 2 and pc.
Here is my config for Router1:
Current configuration : 1089 bytes ! version 12.4 service timestamps debug datetime msec service timestamps log datetime msec no service password-encryption
I currently have a pair of Adtran Netvanta 1224R units that I want to replacce with Cisco 1760 routers. How can I translate the existing QoS (relevant sections below) on the Adtrans to work on the Cisco routers.
In ACS 5.3 radius authentication report I want to show the called-station-id attribute. (this was appearning on failed and passed auth in ACS 4.2). The value of called-station-id appears in the details. However, I want it to appear as a column with the report.
I had an interesting issue utilizing a monitoring software for our routers and switches. The monitoring tool indicated a few switches were down, however was unable to ping or telnet into them from the computer I had the software installed on.
I am using Bit meter (on Windows 7 64-bit) to measure up/down activity on the network adapter connected to the RV042 in load balancing mode. Is there a way I can, in real time, have a visual indication of up/down network activity on the WAN 1 and 2 port separately on the RV042?
I've been wanting to port forward this game called Minecraft for quite awhile now, but never got around to it, but now that I've wanted to let my friends that can't play with hamachi play with me. I wanted to port forward it so that they go into the game without using hamachi, or any other networking program. I've already tried once and whenever I ran my server, I would say "FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" or just ask me this "Is another running on that port?"
I have an RV042 router and I'm looking to monitor the total upstream and downstream traffic from within the router.
I know there is tons of software that I can put on a network computer to monitor traffic, but is there any software that I can put on the router itself that will monitor the traffic from within the router?
I have a Belkin G router F5D7230-4 (firmware version 8.01.07) and am trying to view stats on what is using our connection. We have a very low capacity, rural wireless broadband that our ISP tells us is maxed out all the time, even when we don't appear to be using any devices, so I'd like to view the traffic on our DHCP client list to see which device is using an excessive amount of bandwith and put a limit on its access.I don't see a statistics tab on the setup page, is there another place to look or does Belkin have an external program to do this?
I have a Belkin F7D8301 wireless router.Yesterday I changed my wireless passcode via an RJ45 cable plugged into the router from my laptop. Now if Belkin Router Monitor starts at logon it prevents me from connecting. In an atempt to connect Router Monitor askes me for the SSID and the PASSWORD it wants the one from the card that came with the router but seeing as that has been changed by me I put in my SSID and password and it fails. I need to have Router Monitor running because I have a printer plugged into one of the USB ports on the router and I can not print without Router Monitor running.
i recently bought and installed a working NM-16ESW into my cisco 2610.HOWEVER:i have tried different IOS's:c2600-ik9o3s-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.122-46a.binc2600-io3-mz.123-26.bin and unfortunately non of those IOS versions works with the NM-16ESW.Heres my SHOW DIAG command:
I have some tunnels which terminate to my home router. I'm allowing the other ends of the tunnels to use my voice setup. I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.
I've got three Cisco 1721's and a 2610, two of the 1721's are 32f's, the other one is a bit older but is still the same model. The two Cisco 1721 32f's have 1-dsu-t1-v2 wics in them, and the older 1721 has a 1-dsu-t1 wic in it. Now no matter how i have configured it the old t1 wic will not talk to the v2 wic. I've tried putting the old wic into a 1721 32f and it doesn't work at all!
What i have working:
router DCE (1721 32f with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with this configuration.
Router DCE:
-service-module t1 clock source internal -service-module t1 data-coding normal
[ code].....
Router DTE:
-service-module t1 clock source line -service-module t1 data-coding normal
[ code]....
Router OLD (1721 with v2 wic) can talk to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic) no problem with same config. What doesn't work: Any router with 1-dsu-t1 (old) wic to router DTE (1721 32f with v2 wic). again same configuration as before, so whats going on that i cant get this to work? Is the old t1 wic not compatible with the new t1 wic?
I've made a static route between a Cisco Router 1760 and a Cisco Router 2651xm using crossover cable to connect to their Fast-Ethernet ports so this is the configuration:
2651xm(config)#ip route 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.128 192.168.1.0 (Same thing) The IP of the 2651xm is 192.168.10.2 The IP of the 1760 is 192.168.10.1.3
I'm I doing it wrong? is the destination wrong? I can't seem to ping any other IP. I've got another laptop. I've put a static IP of 192.168.10.5, the primary Laptop is using has an IP of 192.168.1.138. I'm trying to PING the 192.168.10.5 laptop. But this doesn't work.
I am working at a client site today. The client has a large Frame Relay Hub Spoke network. The Hub is at the HQ location, and then there are about 15 spoke sites in remote offices.
We are having an issue with the frame between the HQ and one of the spokes. We are currently working with our dear friends at AT&T to troubleshoot the issue. AT&T yesterday was trying to run a local loop test to the router at the remote (spoke) end. We were working iwth them in trying to put the remote router (which we manage) into a loopback mode. We were trying to use controller commands
COOP-Rappahanock#conf t Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller ? % Unrecognized command COOP-Rappahanock(config)#controller
That we seem to run out of options...
How can we put the subinterface that is the other end fo the frame into loopback mode so that a local loop test can be done between us and AT&T (provider)?
I am trying to setup a VPN server on my router at home so I that I can access my network remotely. The router has f0/0 as a dhcp interface connected to a cable modem. I have a switch card in it and vlan interfaces for my inside/private subnets. I NAT/PAT the inside vlan interfaces/subnets to the f0/0 dhcp address from the cable modem. I have found a ton of configs for this but nothing that shows it with a NAT setup. I have used a few examples I found that are close to my setup. I am able to connect and the cisco lock closes. But I am not able to do anything. When checking the cisco client stats the sent numbers keep counting up but the received number stays at zero. Any good config that I can use or have a good link? I am also running CME on this router.
I currently have a pair of Adtran Netvanta 1224R units that I want to replacce with Cisco 1760 routers. How can I translate the existing QoS (relevant sections below) on the Adtrans to work.
I have a Cisco 1760 configured as easy VPN server. Using the cisco VPN client I can connect to the VPN server. The problem is that there is no ping between clients. When I connect several clients to the VPN server there is no ping between the clients. But when I login into the router I can ping the clients and make ssh remote logins into the clients. It seems that there is no access between the clients and they cannot communicate at all.
The cisco router is placed in DMZ zone. Remote clients can connect into the router.
Here is the configuration of the VPN server:
[code] ! version 12.4 service timestamps debug datetime msec
I have just started supporting a client with a Cisco 1760 on site. They also use the VPN on this device. I can get to the web interface but for the life of me I cannot find out where I change the VPN password. They just terminated an employee and I need to do this.
I have a Cisco 2610 series router(Version 12.0(5)T1, c2600-i-mz.120-5.T1), which has a network module inserted. I would like to view the model of this network module. There are no "show inventory" or "show platform" commands. "Show version" doesn't list the network module as well. In addition, it appears to have a "show c2600" command, but this doesn't display any hardware information.
I'm looking to test fram relay connections in a lab environment i'm building at home. I have a couple of 2610 routers that are barebones and am looking to get some serial modules. Are (2) WIC-2T's all I would need to create those test connections? Also on a side note are the any modules for the 2610 that have fast ethernet connections. I would like to have that so I can create a router on a stick model off of the 2600's.
I have a Cisoc 2610 connected to my network, 1 Ethernet port and a WIC-2T card. I have ther serial connection to the main router and the ethernet going to the switch. I can ping all device throught the network...but the 2610 can't ping any outside address (no internet connection). I have the internet connection going through my 3745 (which the 2610 is connected to via serial cable). I put a default route into the 2610 but still no luck.
Here are the running configs:
2610: version 12.3 service timestamps debug uptime service timestamps log uptime
I have 2 Procuve Switches one is 2650 were all the Department PC's & Wireless access points connected & second one is 2610 were i have the firewall connected,Active Directory & Windows DHCP Server
Switch 1- 2650 Ports Port 1-16 is used by HR Department Port17-32 is used by Finanace Department Port 33-34 is used by Access Points Port 41-48 is used by Users
Port 50 is used to uplink to switch 2610.What i wanted to achive is Isolcate Departments & Users & Access Points through VLAN from each other but they should be able to hit our Active directory for authentication, Firewall for internet & DHCP Server for IP's.
I configured one Cisco 1760 router as VPN server using easy VPN Server. The clients can connect to the VPN server successfully. The problem is that there is no ping between the clients. They cannot see each other into the VPN network. The router has just one port.Do I need special configuration of the VPN sever in order to allow the VPN clients to connect each other or I need other type of VPN?
