I have a Motorola Affix and am using the app printershare to print from my phone to a network printer at home.. it works great.. but I want to know if there is a way to make the printer accesable from the internet so I can print from pt phone when im not home and connected to the network...accessible

Of course it works only when the user is inside my network.(IIS running over windows server 2008 OS)Now I want to make it visible to the WWW, so I created a rule to make a port forwarding to it:I went to: Advanced > Virtual Servers and created a rule with the given information:

Unfortunately it isn't enough, if I type myPublicIp:8787 I can't access the website because I either get "connection reset" error or a timeout.I pluged my computer directly in my modem and it worked perfectly.To make a test, I tried to enable the router remote administration on the port 10001. Id like to know exactly what happens when a user types in the url of my web site and how their traffic gets to me. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a domain controller witch is in a C7000 enclosure, the ethernet switch in the rear of the enclosure has channeled the ports to our core switch ( Hp procurve 5400 series ) for better bandwidth.My problem is can I give this DC 1 nic and make it accessable to 2 vlans in my enviroment. ( how do I do this )The channeling of the ehternet switch in the rear of the C7000 enclosure makes it impossible to give just that one DC access to the 2 vlans , cause the other servers also go over this line.

Signal is showing 80% and internet is accessible and fast from both systems; but, I cannot access either computer from the other computer. I got the IP addresses of each machine and I cannot ping from either direction. Firewalls are turned off on both systems.When I type in \server, I get an error that say I should check my spelling or use the windows Search; but, that doesn't work.

But the thing is... all my friends bring their laptops over (Mac & Pc) and try work fine. Even my phone catches the wifi perfectly in my house. I started to think maybe it was the laptop but the laptop word great on wifi at my job, my friends house, and pretty much anywhere with wifi but my house. I have wifi through bright house and they came to my house one day but they ended up not doing anything because they can only make sure there device (router) works perfectly. Ok.. So I took the laptop to best buy's geek squad and the guy "reseted my network card" & told me it should e fine when I got home.. Nope. Didn't work. I have spent hours looking trough the Internet trying things that people recommended I do. (start, run, cmd) I've tried it all. It just won't work. I really need this laptop to work at home because I do a lot of work from the pc. I hope somebody on here could point me into the right direction before I give up & toss this laptop in the shed and be forced to purchase a new one.

Now the problem is last weekend the vpn is not UP although the Internet is accesibble. The solution is i power off - on the ASA 5510 and the vpn connection is UP again. This already occurs 2 times. DVR internal IP is 192.168.2.13 and external IP is 27.34.xxx.xx. when I am able to access DVR by using internal IP and it works fine while accessing from the internet it not work proper. Though it prompt for username and password also. After enter the login credential its getting blank. I am able to telnet External IP from internet on port 80.

I have been able to get the camera setup at my house to be accessed through the internet. I have a cable modem and a router, setup a dyndns account, port forwarded my router and boom it worked. Went to my gf's apartment and I didn't think of it at first until I was frustrated, but realized the apartment complex probably has a router of its own. I can access the cam on her LAN but not through the internet.

The router is set up as DHCP server therefore IPs are automatically assigned, this is setup on the PCs and the router. The work group is also set. Exactly same settings basically as my old router which worked fine but wont on this one! I have 3 wired PCs and a wireless laptop. 2 PCs are windows XP the other is Windows 7 and the laptop is windows 7. The wireless win7 laptop will recognize my win7 wired PC and vice versa and can share everything without problems, but they wont have anything to do with the wired winxp PCs, on top of that the 2 winxp wont recognize each other either so don't think its anything platform specific. I have also tried setting up static IPs for each computer - still no joy.This is a brand new D-Link DIR-655 Rev B1 firmware 2.00

I just got my dad's old notebook (VAIO VPC F223FB) which is better than my older one. So, I did a backup and then managed to clean install a Windows 7 Professional x64.At first I had a problem with the drivers, because the internet wasn't connecting and the USB ports weren't detecting my External Drive. So, I tested other USB port and got it. Installed the drivers and I could connect to the wireless network. But it doesn't detect the ethernet cable! And I want it detecting because then it's faster. I already tried downloading the Ethernet Controller driver. At first, I downloaded through Sony's support site but it didn't recognize the driver. Now, it recognizes but still doesn't connect it. And when I tried Solving Connection Problems, it said the network gateway was accessible but Windows can't receive Internet network traffic.

So if Site1 or Site2 or Site3 need to access the Internet, traffic will have to go through HQ-HUB and from there reach the Internet.I have routes 2851's on the spoke sites. Which command or mechanism you would explore in this case to make the spoke sites point to the HQ-HUB to reach the Internet?
Would you do this based on DNS settings or getting an access-list & static route defining when the spoke routers traffic need to go the internet, point to the HUB-HQ as the default?
When I try and connect to the Internet, it doesn't connect. I'm using my Samsung Galaxy SIII on Sprint to tether (obviously not tethering if I'm only going to the network). Unfortunately, not only can I not access the stream via the internet, I can't even ping the phone.I'm pretty sure I need to open up/forward some ports, but I understand that that's not possible seeing as it's Sprint's network and not mine.
I will also have access to a local wifi network if there's a way to 'piggyback' off of that for web access to the stream even if I don't have access to the router control panel. I'm not sure if I'll have a hard wire connection to a router or not. I have AG241v2 LinkSys router. my problem is when I had started to download anything, I found that no internet connection so I couldn't make internet browsing or any other activity. This problem is also occurred when more than one user connect to the internet, the others can't make browsing. I made firmware upgrade but still the problem occurred.
