Is there any hardware difference between Cisco WS-C3750G-24T-E and WS-C3750G-24T-S or they are the same switch with different running IOS?I have an stack of some WS-C3750G-12S-S and want to introduce a new WS-C3750G-24T. My provider offers me only a WS-C3750G-24T-E and I do not know if i am going to be able to downgrade the IOS.
View 10 RepliesI have a couple of Cisco WS-C3750G-12S-E, I`m putting to use again. These will be doing routing (IPv4 and IPv6), VLANs, VRF etc etc.
In Cisco Feature Navigator I find that the newest IOS for this model is 15.0(1)SE and 12.2(58)SE. But my supplier says c3750-ipserviceslmk9-tar.122-55.SE3.tar is the latest. What is the most feature rich, best, stable image I can load on this unit.
Our network system has 125 different Vlans (Cisco) and I would like to be able to route between only 2 particular Vlans, I know with the command “ip route “ in our layer 3 switches (ws-c3750G -12S) I would be able to route among all Vlans but I need to be able to route between 2 Vlans to be able to access the PCs in vlan 1 from vlan 2 and wise versa.The IP range of vlan1 is 10.0.8.XXX /24 and Vlan2 10.0.11.XXX /24.

Traffic is about 300 - 400 Mbps duplex.
100000 - 150000 PPS
Expected this to get to about 3000 connected clients.
Traffic about 500 - 700 Mbps duplex.
150000 - 200000 PPS
Before these end their duty Are they up for the task, or do you reccomed something different?
Is it possible to have a WS-C3750G-12S-S and a WS-C3750X-24T-L in the same stack, if so do they need to both be running the same software version/IOS.
View 6 Replies View RelatedUsing the VRF- Lite functionality on Cisco 3750G's (WS-C3750G-24T-S), I've got a situation currently with a set of 3750's running inter- v LAN routing for around 80/90 connected sub nets (140+ gig ports). I'm looking in the coming week at creating a new VRF and enabling OSPF for that VRF while leaving the existing routing arrangements in the Default IP Routing Table.
I'm in a situation where I can't replicate the live config into a lab to test the impact / implications of enabling / creating VRF's. I know the 3750's have a very small support for VRF's (24 if I recall) but I only plan on using 2 or 3 max currently.
I have this WS-C3750G-24T 16Mb flash switch and running on IOS Version 12.2(25)SEE4, RELEASEI would want to know a IOS version that supports IP SLA feature and which is compatable to the above model Switch.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have already set up a lab comprising of 1x2950-24 switch, 2x3750-24T in stack mode and 2x MS Domain Controller with AD 2008 Servers and NPS enabled (Domain level 2008). I use NPS as a Radius Server. I am trying to test the 802.1x framework in two scenarios.
1. I use as client a domain laptop with Windows XP SP3 with the embedded 802.1x MS supplicant. As authenticator use the 2950 switch and as authentication servers I use the two NPS integrated in MS DCs. Everything is working fine as I expected with basic configuration guidelines from Cisco & Microsoft.
2. I use as client a domain laptop with Windows XP SP3 with the embedded 802.1x MS supplicant (the same as before). As authenticator I use the 3750 Stack switch and as authentication servers I use the two NPS integrated in MS DCs (the same as before). I have configured the supplicant for both machine or user authentication in both scenarios. However the client never pass the authentication in the second one. I disconnect and connect the same supplicant in the 2950 switch and the authentication is completed successfully. Getting back to the 3750 stack the authentication failed and the laptop gains network access in the configured Auth-Failed Vlan. I have tried several configuration changes without success. I cannot understand why does this happen. I have made some debugs and I am sending them a long with a partial basic configuration of 3750 stack switch.
Any replacement fan for the WS-C3750G-48TS-S switch that runs quieter than the one originally built into this router? I've searched a number of web sites and found plenty of replacement fans available but none of them show noise level specifications.
particular manufacturer/model combination that works in this router that will drop the noise level down while maintaining air flow. This switch is in a short network rack in an small office that also includes people. The current noise level isn't defining like some servers, but is loud enough to be distracting.
I misplaced a set of the rackmounts and it doesn't look like this will take any other set that I have around.

I think the best way to solve this will be using VRF for management, and regular routing for public network, right? Putting the management network in it`s own VRF.

Upon reading release notes found that there are two versions of release notes 1 day apart, the one 02 Sep 2012 saying that WS-C3750-48PS is not supported in this version. Then in release next day 03 Sep 2012 that note has been removed. Which one is correct. Is it supported with my model of switch or not. Also unable to update boot path in the stack switches, "switch all" is not supported in the current IOS. Any other way to update it. Master switch has new boot path but unable to change in slaves.

I have downloaded c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.150-1.SE2.bin and I want to upgrade iOS to this image.
I have a few questions related to this:
1. Is my switch model compatible with this iOS version?
2. Do you recommend the upgrade? Does it bring some notable features?
3. Can I upgrade for free or do I need to buy some license?
4. I also want to upgrade/add the crypto image, can I add crypto for free or some license is required?
5. I have remote access to my switch via the console cable which plugged into machine1. But machine1 is connected to network via the same switch. I am accessing machine1 via SSH, and then the switch via console cable (minicom on CentOS). Is there an upgrade procedure for this kind of situation that also has some fall back (like reboot in X minutes and load the previous image) if the upgrade goes wrong?
A refurbisched WS-C3750G-24WS-S50 that we have send to our client should support 50 LAP (the unit says WS-C3750G-24WS-S50 at the back of the unit). Also the "show version" of the 3750 says WS-C3750G-24WS-S50.
He upgraded the WLC software from 4.0 to 5.0 then to 6.0 and finally upgraded to 7.0 now claims the web-interface only shows 25 supported access-points. We never checked the cli from the WLC before the upgrade.
Also he uploaded a old config file from a other S25 intergated WLC controller .
1) What could be the reason for this issue ?
2) How does the upgrading from 25 to 50 LAP work ? Is it like the PIX/ASA with a license key ?
3) When you upgrade the WLC sofware you only use a piece of universel code like the IOS right ?,can it cause a integrated WLC to loose the support for the 50 LAP ?
4) Can you use a config file from a S25 with out issues ?
5) What part-ID do we need to purchase when we want to upgrade a S25 to a S50 ?
We are facing since one month in our two Cisco WS-C3750G-12S on many interfaces input errors when data transer or ping (ICMP) increase input erros. I have read this is possible. I have running a other mixed stack with a C3750G-12S and an C3750E-48TD. Its running fine until I want to make an IOS update. The update was done with the CW LMS 3.1. After the automatic update and restart only the C3750E had an new IOS the C3750G doesn't have any IOS. Do I have the same problem with the mixed Stack C3750G and C3750X?Do I have to upgrade the IOS by copying the different IOS Versions ( c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3 / c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3) to every switch ?

I am trying to change the ports speed to 1G, and have tried all possible combinations of "speed 1000" and "duplex full" setting on both ends to no avail. What should port settings be for 1G speed between the two switches?

i have a Layer3 Switch Cisco WS-c3750G -24T , initially i have a IOS version c3750-Ipbase , recentely i have upgraded my IOS to c3750-Ipservices-M to enable to PBR for my network , i have created all the acl and tried to give the route-map with PBR , the command was initiallying but i am not able to see the applied route-map in my policy route , i have gone through the blog and enabled SDM prefer routing , but no luck .

I have 8 switch stack consisting of six WS-C3550-48P and two WS-C3750G-16TD running software vesrion 12.2(25) SEB1. When I added new C3750v2-24PS (running image 12.2(50) SE5) in stack so I up-graded the image of existing 8 switches with latest veriosn 12.2(50) SE5. Once I have done with the upgrade then all ports of my stack switches went down after around five minuts. Is it image compatibility issue with existing switches or something else?
