We have built our network core with Juniper EX8216. But Juniper works terrible and we facing big problem with that. Which device can be placed instead of Juniper EX8216.
I'll tell you what I'm looking for more detailed. I need some device which can care 80 XGe ports, basic secure features, advanced routing features and QoS such as LLQ or CBWRED.
I'm looking to upgrade my router and add a wireless card to my system. That way I can take my system a couple rooms over from my modem to where my tv is.im gonna posts my system specs incase that effects what card I get. [code]

In my webdmz I use 2 ACE 4710 proxys in FT mode. I used a layer 2 switch to connect firewall and proxys together.
I would like to eliminate this switch if possible..and connect both 4710's (layer 2) direct to firewall.If I could make gi0/2 - 4 part of the same vlan, then I would be good to go.
We are using LMS 3.2.1 with SP1 and Campus Manager 5.2.2.Server runs Windows 2003 R2.Everything runs fine except for User Tracking on two Catalyst 6500 switches running CatOS. These devices are discovered, reachable, SNMP works fine, neighbors seen. But when we try to launch acquisition, the UT utility complains with this error message:"Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy BEFSR81 is my primary router and has DHCP turned on. The router's DHCP range is set to accommodate 12 devices. I have three computers wired to it and their Host names (as specified in the set-up of each computer) show up in the router's DHCP device table. I also have two printers (one old Brother HL5250DN laser printer and one new HP Photosmart Premier C410a inkjet printer) connected and there are blanks where the Host name should go. I would like to be able to tell which printer is which when I am looking at the DHCP device table. How can I get a names associated with each printer's IP address in the router's DHCP device table? (The real problem is that the router seems to have both printers at the same IP address (192.168.1.100) and if I can get one of them to change I'd like to know which one it was!)

I basically need to ensure all traffic that is recieved from the internet (ADSL connection) is NAT'd to a LAN interface so the firewall can do the specific NATing. We connect to the management port and have our workstation set to get an ip via dhcp. A cat5 is connected to the management port, that goes into a hub (tested to work) and a cat5 is connected from the hub to the workstation (tested to work). Nothing else is connected. The workstation does not get an ip address. (assigns APIPA) Both the 5510 and workstation have been rebooted.The workstation works otherwise. We have also connected both a crossover and straight through cable from the 5510 to the workstation. We have statically assigned an ip of 192.168.1.2 to the workstation and cannot ping the cisco (192.168.1.1).

How does the ESW 500 or SF300 line guarantee QoS of voice traffic when trunking switch to switch? I have (2) ESW 500 series switches in series. The phone on switch 1 have no audio issues, but the phones on switch 2 (the last in the series) have intermittent voice quality issues when dialing across a WAN circuit to another office. The phone on switch 1 do not have that issue though they traverse the same circuit. They are all using the same VLAN 100.
