View 9 Replies View RelatedI've run a across a strange issue that I've not encountered before and after the things I've tried am beginning to think it's a limitation of the router itself. What I have are 3 Cisco 1941 routers that are all endpoints for a customer's MPLS network. STL is the headquarters and both remote offices have a link back this router. Each of the remote locations only have 1 serial interface. It is a flat network with few routes and a small shoretel voip system running across it. Each router is running C1900 Software (C1900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.0(1)M5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2).
QoS is configured as follows on each router:
class-map match-any AutoQoS-VoIP-Remark
match ip dscp ef
match ip dscp cs3
match ip dscp af31
class-map match-any AutoQoS-VoIP-Control-UnTrust
match access-group name AutoQoS-VoIP-Control
class-map match-any AutoQoS-VoIP-RTP-UnTrust
[code]....
If I try to apply the policy map to serial0/0/0, I get the following error:
% policy map utoQos-Policy-Untrust not configured
I've tried to create a different policy map with the same settings and get the same error. We thought that when it was first set up, each interface belonged to the same network, so we separated things out (hence the .252 mask). I'm not sure what else to try and I'm hoping its something painfully simple that I'm missing.
I have some 2620 routers and 2950 switches that have Console Ports that are serial. However my HP PC w.Win 7 dosent have any serial ports. I am looking for a USB to Serial converter that will allow me to access the console ports so I can configure these devices. I've read many old posts and still havent found a solution. Is it true that none of these cables work? Anything that will work on XP? (also have XP PC's).How about a RJ45 to Serial?? How about a PCI Serial card? I cant believe Cisco hasnt developed a conversion cable to use with their Console Cables?

I've got this system set up for UMDF driver development, because I need a target machine to debug drivers on. However, because I'm developing drivers for Win 7 (x86 and x64), I cannot connect to the virtual machine on via a simple network connection. Connection methods are outlined here.
I have tried a few different pieces of software (mostly Eltima software), and have Google'd every combination of phrases that I can think of. I can't find any information on this anywhere. I don't just need to share data between the machines, I need a more "physical" connection.
Does any know how to do this, or if there's another (preferably more simple) way of doing it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 5 VLANs, I assign VLANs to its ports and make them all Untagged.I created ACLs and a ACE rules for each ACL, and then assigned to the ports. So what i am trying to do is to deny access to from one port to other 4 ports and granted access to any other ports. But it is not working, without last rule "allow any any" it has no access to any ports, with the last rule it grants access to every port even to those I denied.Router in Layer 3 mode, all VLANs have their IP's.
At some moment I was able to work it properly but without using any rules, I just tagged my untagged VLANs to those ports which I wanna get access to. As you can see I want allow ports GE1 - GE4 communicate with 1 to 24 ports but not to each other.
I have a network with multiple servers behind a PIX with 6.3 on it. I have one public IP address, and I'm using NAT. I'm currently trying to port my Exchange server to a cloud host, and the vendor is requiring I open up a wide range of ports for MAPI, basically ports 1024 on. What would be the command to forward all of the trafic cominto/from that broad range? if I could simply route all trafic to and from their two IP addresses to my email server, that would accomplish the same end goal.

Cisco Linksys wrt54gs v4 (Router) currently running Tomato firmware but I can flash dd-wrt back to it in a second.
I'm running several game and file servers via a dynamic IP, which I unfortunately cannot change to a static connection for several reasons. I've solved this by using No-IP, which is a Dynamic IP resolution service. This solved the first part of my problem - I can give people IP's for their websites, such as myfreemusic.sytes.net and so forth, but they all HAVE to append their ports to the url - i.e.
site1.sytes.net:90
site2.sytes.net:91
My main problem right now is the game servers - I'm hosting games that default host to 25565, and though I can change the ports the server hosts from, I must give those who want to connect the ports at the end of their urls, i.e.
server1.sytes.net:25566
server2.sytes.net:25567
I know DNS is essentially agnostic when it comes to ports, so no solution there. And I don't think the game (Minecraft vis-a-vis bukkit) supports SRV records, and even if they did, I'd have no idea how to configure them. How can I resolve static urls redirecting to a dynamic IP by pointing them to ports?
To simplify the question -
How can I make server1.sytes.net resolve to port 25566, and server2.sytes.net resolve to port 25567 when the default port is set to 25565?
We use a wlc model AIR-CT5508-K9 with eight built-in ports. I would like to know if it is possible to change the speed of these ports down to 100Mb. At this time, they are set to auto and 1000Mbps.

We have a web-server on an inside interface listening on a non standard port - 20111. We have created a static NAT translating the public ip to the private, so If I do http://public-ip:20111 it works. (we are using a seperate public IP for this service only).
Now I need to create a NAT rule that will forward requests on BOTH port 80 and 443 to the same private ip and the same port number (20111)
The Private address is 10.99.250.20 and the "public" (I've replaced it in this example) is 172.16.16.16 I have managed to create a NAT that will translate 443 to 20111:
object network 10.99.250.20 nat (Private-DMZ,Outside) static 172.16.16.16 service tcp 20111 https
But if I try to add another rule like: nat (Private-DMZ,Outside) static 172.16.16.16 service tcp 20111 http It will simply replace the first one.
Is it possible to redirect both 80 and 443 from outside to the same port number and same IP on the inside?
Recently our company purchased 3 Lynksys SGE2010p, At the moment they work as a stack but as we are implementing UCCX we need to mirror 15 ports but during the provisioning i've noticed that the limit is 8 ports per stack. I'm wondering whether this is a known issue or just a known limitation . I believe that most probably i'll need to move back to stand alone mode so i could configure 8 mirrored ports per switch.
