Cisco WAN :: Router Rip And No Shutdown Commands Not Working On 2621xm?

I have an old 2621xm router in CCIE lab at home. Only a week ago I started having issue on 2 of them. The problem is on one of them when I go under interface configuration and I type "no shut" nothing happens. Interface stays in administratively down status and when I check running config "shutdown" is still under interface.
On the other one the same problem but only with "router rip" command. I configure my rip routing but then when I check running config there is no rip section and also RIP is not running under "show ip protocols rip".These routers are connected to 2511 AccesServer. So I thought the issue might be communication from AccessServer to these devices. I connected a console cable straight to them and still the same problem. Everything else is working on these devices.

There are no commands like route-map & ip sla monitor on my cisco 1841 router, its ios version is 12.4(T1). I have to configure load balancing and failover on this router but without these commands i cant do that.

I'm experiencing strange issue with my WS-C3750X-48T-S.
Model number: WS-C3750X-48T-S
System image file is "flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin"
This switch is situated on a remote site and on the 6th of January it was rebooted.
I still do not know the cause, but it might be power outage or smth. We are still checking. After the reboot I've noticed that one port on this cisco switch is in 'notconnect' state, while I'm pretty sure it should be 'connected'.
I've tried to shutdown the port adminstratevly and do the 'no shutdown' but this port remained in 'disable' state.

a switch port is shutdown, but when i use NO SHUTDOWN command it is working and shows administratively down. like this command does not affect on it. i should enable this port? what can i do btw, port is not in errdisable and portfast is enabled.

I have a Cisco 2811 router and i want to experiment on the IOS firewall.The thing is, none of the commands that are proposed in online guides - like ip inspect, ip audit, etc. - seem to be working. I just get "unrecognized command" on a router that is supposed to support such features. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the IOS image.

I've got a 2621XM that has not been used for a while.Completely stripped of any modules and configuration files, the router will continually cycle the startup process without actually booting from the IOS.
The cycle displays the following :
System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r) [cmong 8r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

program load complete, entry point: 0x80008000, size: 0x10034ec
What I've tried:
1) Downloading another IOS image (c2600-is-mz.123-20.bin) via Xmodem and running "confreg 0x2102" from the rommon. All that did is change the last message to "program load complete, entry point: 0x80008000, size: 0x10fa95c"
2) Running the command "boot flash:c2600-is-mz.123-20.bin". If I enable the diagnostics via rommon, the cycle expands to:

If it wasn't for the lack of error messages, I would assume it was a hardware issue.If the image was corrupted, I would expect a message indicating that the image couldn't be read.

I am trying to recover a corrupted ios, from rommon after configure all steps of IP_ADDRESS, TFTP_SERVER and so on, copy files correctly, but after it need router 5 minutes to erase flash, or something else....after it i can not boot from ios loaded as i show below:

i connected 2 routers 2621xm with serial and setup. but i didnt need the RIP cuz i just sent msg/packet from RT2/Laptop2 to RT1/Laptop1 and it saids SUCCESSFUL RECEIVED. so whats wrong with my 2 networks?why passed through from rt2 to rt1 without RIP configuration?

I am not sure if the issue I have is due to router's performance of my configuration. Currently I have 2621XM connected in my internal network where Fa0/1 is considered untrusted zone and Fa0/0 is considered trusted. It appears that traffic is limited to about 3.17MBps (Mega Bytes) between Fa0/0 and Fa0/1. There are ACLs on the Fa0/1 inbound and Fa0/0 inbound. I am also using ip inspect rules for the Fa0/1 outbound traffic. When I remove ip inspect policy from the Fa0/1 interface, the traffic speed bumps up to about 4.8MBps (which is about 38Mbps - Mega bits).
Each time the CPU utilization is: CPU utilization for five seconds: 99%/99%; one minute: 19%; five minutes: 4% PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process
Access to the router during that time is veerrrryyyyyy slow! Does this mean I am hitting the maximum limit this router can handle?

I have just updated a VLAN interface on my router. I have two 6500's with GLBP configured. The particular interface had a primary and secondary IP address. I shutdown the interface on one router and deleted the secondary address then assigned the orignal secondary address to be the be the only address associated with the interface and enabled the interface and it came right back up...all looks good. I proceeded to do the same thing to the other router and once again all looked good. Now, I am able to PING the devices in the subnet from router, but am unable to ping them from any place else. I have a Cisco 2621XM router with two ethernet interfaces that sits before a vendor supplied VPN router. I need to see the IP traffic incoming to my router from the WAN side (fasteth0/1 below). I setup ip cef, and ip flow ingress on the interface. However -- it seems that what I see when I use "ip cache flow" command doesn't have a very long history or life. What commands am I missing so that I can see a summary of the stats over say the last 5, 10 or 15 minutes? Is this the best config that can be used for this, or can I create a more summarized report just using the router HW and IOS? I have created a baseline template to run compliancy checks, I understand that lines beginning with a + are mandatory and lines begining with a - should not be on the router. What I need to know is, is there a catch all for any other commands on the router config (startup or running) but not mentioned in the baseline? For example, lets say this is my baseline:
+ service timestamps debug datetime msec
+ service timestamps log datetime msec
+ service password-encryption
+ hostname [hostname]
The router comes back as compliant as it has all the above lines. However there is obviously more config on the router, but this doesn't show? So I know I can get commands that are in the baseline but not on the router; but what about the other way round - on the router but not on the baseline? Surely this exists - at the least from a security point of view, an attacker could well have configured the Dot11Radio int, however without entering the command with the minus prefix I can't tell? I'm having with my VPN Server on my Cisco 2621xm.
I started by creating a VPN - everything worked great. I assigned the DNS Servers, Domain name, WINS Server so when I connect I'm able to resolve local hostnames on the network with no problem, however, I had no internet access... I then set up a split tunnel access list. Since I've set that up, I'm now able to ping internet based addresses url... but no longer able to resolve internal host names. I can ping the ip addresses, just name resolution no longer works. [code]

I have just received a new cisco 2901 and started on its configuration. when I started configuring VPN tunnels, I saw that non of the crypto commands are available.
The router runs on iOS 15.1.From what I read, people refer that the router needs to past a license activation or something like that. When I run show verison - i do see "none" under most of the categories.

I was attempting to setup our 7204 Cisco router to use RADIUS for authentication via the AAA commands. I must have messed up when configuring it as it comes up via TELNET asking for a username and password but doesn't take my AD credentials. How might I login to this router to fix the config? Do I need to do a password recover process?
One note, I didn't save the running-config to startup-config, so if I restart the router will it load the startup-config, thus overwriting the running-config that wasn't working?

I am using DHCP/TFTP to autoconfigure a 3945 router. The router properly obtains an IP address and finds the correct TFTP server. The issue lies in the download of the configuration file from the TFTP server. The router downloads the file, gives the "Ok" message, and prompts you to press Return to get started. When I view the running-config, several commands are missing from the Serial 0/0/0 section (HWIC-2T). If I modify the config file on the TFTP server to use Serial 0/0/1 instead and repeat the process, the configuration file loads without any issues and Serial 0/0/1 has all of the commands.
I also tried moving syntax around in my config file, but the end result is still the same. If I use Serial0/0/0 - I don't get all of the commands. If I use Serial 0/0/1, I do.

Even though I've been working on Cisco way too long I've never worked with the 871 before, and I've never inherited a system with so many unused commands in the config. Apparently there have been a lot of changes over the years and a lot of commands left behind. And sure I'd like to clean it all up and start over, but I really just need it working right now.
There are a total of 4 sites, HQ and remotes1-3. HQ has an ASA, remotes the 871s, there are VPN tunnels between each 871 and the ASA and these are working fine.
Remote1 also has tunnels to Remote2 and Remote3, and these work.
Remote2 has the working tunnels to HQ and Remote1, but can't establish a tunnel to Remote3.
Remote3 has working tunnels to Remote1 and HQ, but not Remote2 (obviously)
They are all running the same IOS 12.4(20)T3 and have virtually identical configurations. A sho cryto sess on Remote2 and 3 look like this, with an obvious IKE problem;
Interface: FastEthernet4
Session status: UP-ACTIVE
Peer: xxx.xxx.xxx.x30 port 500

The only differences in the configs are the IP and the self-signed keys might have different modulus. This is the config for Remote3, I've tried some different combinations of putting in static routes and not, so don't assume what's here is what's been tried. And I've already gone over the pre- shared keys and ACLs a hundred times. My gone is to just get it working, not make it clean. Note: int Tunnel1 is shutdown and not in use.

I run cmd, as an Administrator, After typing shutdown -i the Remote Shutdown Dialog Window pops up,Giving me a lot of posibilities. Though, in the "computers" section there's nothing. Though the main house computer is connected to the same network as the laptop I am at. I wondered why isn't the computer there? So I typed net view in cmd , and only the laptop's name was there. Meaning? The two computers are connected to the same network, thats for sure, the ip's last number in the main pc is 1 and in the laptop is 2. But this is which port each computer is using right?
