I have an installation of a new SMU on an ASR9k. Unfortunately, a previous install from a remote FTP source has stalled at 1%. The router is currently running v4.2.1, and the stalled installation was for a 4.2.0 SMU.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have 4 data T1s providing our office with 6Mbs of internet bandwidth.I have been trying to track down the reason(s) for the steadily increasing frame and abort errors on the Multilink interface of our new router.We have a new 2961 with 2 2 port T1 interface cards (VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1).
At first it looked like the T1s were completely clean, but after diving down a bit the last of the 4 T1s does appear to have a decent amount of slip and error seconds.Is that something that would cause the Multilink interface to show input, frame, and abort errors?Any config or debug commands I should start with to narrow down what might be causing this problem?

View 11 Replies View RelatedThat is: that I have a slow general storage drive that is becoming full. A fast HDD for recording onto with fraps and for programs that I won't use with fraps. I then have an SSD as my main drive which gets VERY full VERY quickly. I then have another computer that has a pretty quick 1TB RAID 0 running and a gigabit network, the network being the bottleneck but still pretty damn quick (120MB/s which is plenty fast enough).
Now, what I intend to do is have my storage drive stay as is; my fraps drive to continue it's job, and then for my old computer to store my big programs to run off, things like games. Is it possible to do this as when I've tried it says I don't have permission even though I gave access to the whole HDD from the network. (I'm installing on this computer but changing to the mapped network drive for the install directory).

I just picked up an HP Proliant DL360 server with no OS and no optical drive. It tries to PXE network boot when I turn it on. How do I use my Laptop to install a linux image via the network?I have read extensively about this subject for a couple of days now and jacked up my IP settings in my router as well as my network adapter a couple of times now. Everything is backed up and my original settings are written down. I have asked for advice from Microsoft and HP as well.

Found that there were some r>i (RIB-Failure) route in C7600 doesn't flagged w/ r>i in ASR9K. Is it normal behaviour in ASR9K? How can I perserve r>i on ASR9K? View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm doing a large-scale snmpwalk against an ASR9k (with IOS-XR v4.2.0) running as a provider edge router (full bgp table) and pulling the full contents of the BGP route table. On other routers, this completes within my timeout window, but not on the ASR9k.Figuring that this has to do with CoPP rate-limits, I've adjusted the rate-limits to ridiculously high values.
But still, the walk doesn't complete in an acceptable amount of time. Manual snmpwalks display a rate slower than even 7600s, with occassional stutters. CPU on the box doesn't even register that anything extraordinary is going on (@ 2 - 3%), and "show lpts pifib hardware police location" shows that there are 0 drops against SNMP.I haven't turned yet - either some traffic shaping mechanism or some combination of process scheduling/priority with SNMP.
I am very new to high end Cisco devices.(like 7600/6500 or ASR9K).
Why do we log in on RP. What actions we can perform after logging-on RP (route processor) or Why they are required ? Cant we make those by normal router mode (router#) .
We have two ASA 5500 series Firewalls running 8.4(1). One in New York, another in Atlanta.They are configured identically for simple IPSecV1 remote access for clients. Authentication is performed by an Radius server local to each site.
There are multiple IPSec Site-to-Site tunnels on these ASA's as well but those are not affected by the issues we're having.First, let me start with the famous last words, NOTHING WAS CHANGED.
All of a sudden, we were getting reports of remote users to the Atlanta ASA timing out when trying to bring up the tunnel. They would get prompted for their ID/Password, then nothing until it times out.Sames users going to the NY ASA are fine.After extensive troubleshooting, here is what I've discovered. Remote clients will authenticate fine to the Atlanta Firewall ONLY IF THEY ARE USING A WIRED CONNECTION.
If they are using the wireless adapter for their client machine, they will get stuck trying to login to Atlanta.These same clients will get into the New York ASA with no problems using wired or wireless connections.Windows 7 clients use the Shrewsoft VPN client and Mac clients use the Cisco VPN client. They BOTH BEHAVE the same way and fail to connect to the Atlanta ASA if they use their wireless adapter to initiate the connection.
Using myself as an example.
1. On my home Win 7 laptop using wireless, I can connect to the NY ASA with no issues.
2. The same creditials USED to work for Atlanta as well but have now stopped working. I get stuck until it times out.
3. I run a wire from my laptop to the FiOS router, then try again using the same credentials to Atlanta and I get RIGHT IN.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would the far end of the cloud care if I have a wired or wireless network adapter? I should just be an IP address right? Again, this is beyond my scope of knowledge.We've rebuilt and moved the Radius server to another host in Atlanta in our attempts to troubleshoot to no avail. We've also rebooted the Atlanta Firewall and nothing changed.
We've tried all sorts of remote client combinations. Wireless Internet access points from different carriers (Clear, Verizon, Sprint) all exhibit the same behavior. Once I plug the laptops into a wired connection, BAM, they work connecting to Atlanta. The New York ASA is fine for wired and wireless connections. Same with some other remote office locations that we have.
Below I've detailed the syslog sequence on the Atlanta ASA for both a working wired remote connection and a failed wireless connection. At first we thought the AAA/Radius server was rejecting us but is shows the same reject message for the working connection. Again, both MAC and Windows clients show the same sequence.Where the connection fails is the "IKE Phase 1" process.

On wireless (lenovo tabletx61) I cannot connect through the intranet - no problem connecting through internet. When I manage to connect through intranet connection is dropped quite often.No problem connecting via Ethernet cables.

I can login into the console just fine but if I try and login into the server via the web [URL] it tells me invalid username or password.
During setup I left the username default and set the password. Then it asked me for the password to login to the web but it never asked me the username to use. I have to set this up very soon.

CS,CM,CV is working and contains devices, but RME (cannot connect to db) and DFM (TIS URN found) not. pdshow and dbRestoreOrig.pl after calling, hangs for ever.
