We have 2 Cisco 4400 series WLC and a whole bunch of 1231G APs connected to it.Sometimes the wireless network get really, really slow.Does Cisco have any built in tools for troubleshooting bandwidth or sluggishness issues?And how does one go ahead and troubleshoot something like that?

I wondered what tools people on the Forum used to troubleshoot this transient problem. Cisco APs like the 1200 don't seem to inform about why someone left. One thing that has been very useful over time is using Network Sumbler to see what WAPs are in a vicinity and make sure there is not channel overlap. How to troubleshoot transient wireless network drops?

However, I am unable to get a single iperf connection to generate anything more than 9.5 megabit/s, and can go all the way up to 322 megabit/s with multiple streams before it looks like we are saturated. Note the example below for a single stream has a 1MByte window, with 8kb we were only able to see 2.4 mbits/sec per stream (as seen in the per stream in the example below). Where would you begin to look for why we cant seem to exceed 2.3mbit/s with an 8kb window, or 7.88 with a 1mbyte.

I'm replacing a PA-POS-OC3-SM with PA-POS-1OC3 in a flex Wan module (WS-X6582-2PA) in Cisco 6506 using WS-SUP32P-GE PISA.I have a hard time bringing the "protocol up. the status I see is line up and protocol down. Debug shows (attached) no comunication with the edge router but when i put the older PA (PA-POS-OC3-SM ) back evertything works fine and older PA has been running for many years without the issue. I'm replacing older PA is becuase this is going EOL. I had opened a TAC case but the TAC engineer added no value. [code]

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a ACE4710 setup to load balance a couple of web servers. The real servers all show as inservice as do the propbes and serverfarms/virtual servers. If I ping the Virtuual server ip address I get a reply but it I try to access VIP via telnet or web browser. I get a connection could not be open error on the client.The question is how do i determine where the error is comming from so far I can not tell if the client is getting through the acl or not.I have used the trouble shooting guide and nothing has worked to determine the cause so far. show service-policy int479 detail does not show an increase in the hit count when I try to connect.show stats conn does not show an increase in failed or timed out connections when i try to connect. View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter flashing the latest version of the firmware for the WRV200 (1.0.39) all of the pages on the web based admin tool are not working, and some are missing alltogether.I need to be able to re-flash the firmware to an earlier version (or attempt to re-flash this version) without using the web-based admin tool, as the page for doing the flash is one of the one's that is missing. Re-setting it doesn't work. I have tried searching here and through Google without any luck so far. The WRV200 works fine, but obviously is not locked down from a security standpoint, which is a large problem.

702N runs as repeater mode to W8968. In 702N > Maintenance > Diagnostic the ping work for Internal network but fail for external IPs. Most devices connected to 702 can access Internet fine. I have also tried Bridge and Client mode.

I have an older windows xp computer, xps 400.
I had unplugged my computer due to painting the room. When i plugged back it I couldn not connect to internet. But oddlly enough my mcafee security center gave me a message that mcafee subscription expired, which it can't as I use it through my subscription through aol. Had this problem once before. So i uninstalled mcafee. I ran malwarebytes to see if there was anything that might prevent me for accessing internet, it found two adware that I quarentined.
I have tested my ethernet cord and connectivity on another computer it works fine.I had a realek RTL8139 Family PCI Ethernet NIC, i reloaded the driver after downloading from my other computer, now it say it is a realtek RTL 8139/810x family ethernet nic, not sure if I downloaded the wrong driver but before that I tried changing the speed to less than auto detect.
I have rebooted in safe mode in case there was a virus. I am at my wits end.Is there a way to factory reset the network adapter. What else can I do. light at the ethernet port looks to be yellow. Everything says it is working, I just can't connect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night, my internet was working perfectly and I closed my computer lid before going to sleep as usual. This morning, I wake up to use my computer and the internet isn't working. I check the icon at the top and instead of showing an empty wireless meter with an X over it, it shows a computer and a cable with an X over it, which isn't normal. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5532 with a built in wireless adapter and it has a button near the power button that turns the adapter on and off. I decided to turn it off, give it a while, and turn it on, but that didn't fix it, so I restarted the computer.
Now, when I try to turn it on an off, it gives the wireless symbol with a circled X over it. I have checked the device in Device Manager to see if it is working and it says it is working properly. So I uninstalled it, restarted and the computer automatically installed software like it should, but that didn't fix it. I tried a System Restore, but that didn't work as well. Another thing I should mention is that I have tried rolling back the driver (which didn't fix anything), then I updated it, which also didn't fix anything.
Is there anything else I should try? The only thing Diagnostics can detect is an unplugged cable, but it's built in, so it doesn't require a cable (I've had it for >1 year and this is the first problem I've had).I downloaded Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector and it says no wireless adapters can be found.
I finished building my computer today, installed a fresh os and all the necessary drivers that came with the dvds provided, yet the wireless card doesn't even appear anywhere in the computer. The ethernet cabled one does, but not the wireless. Trying to connect to anything wireless just gives an endless searching process, with no results. I can't test the ethernet either, my router is all the way into the living room, way far out of reach.

Problem is, I can't find how to use it. I have it running under Services. The supplied utility & drivers are installed, but I stopped loading the utility since it causes the PS2 mouse to stop responding as soon as the utility loads. The stick connects and does work, but I have no control over it without running the utility.
I tried another no name sticks software (the exact same stick, but under a different name) but it has a overly complex utility (and a newer driver), but it causes the Laptop to lock up completely.I never used a USB wireless stick before and never used wireless anything in 2k when I use to run it 6 or 7 years ago. When I purchased it, it was loaded with 2.0.02 firmware but I upgraded the firmware to 2.0.04.My problem is that I'm trying to setup MAC address-based restrictions thru the manual/web-based setup and when I click on the "Access Restrictions" tab, I only have simple "Parental Controls" and not the advanced "Internet Access Policy".Is it possible that I have a mislabeled V1 device?
