I have linksys E4500 and I would like to be able to see the website visited vs ip address.Is there a way to enable same or achive same via parental controls.Again I do not want to block a website but monitor which websites are visited. Is this achievable via router or an additional software/hardware required to be used with router
View 5 RepliesI've noticed in the mornings lately when I get up around 6 am my internet will not work. Not on wireless or on my desktop. I decided I'd log into the router to see if there was a firmware update or anything. I had checked the logs and there are quite a few entries relating to DoS. I googled around and saw that it could be some sort of packet loss and the router is mistaking it for some sort of DoS attack. And that due to it not showing up multiple times every second it likely isn't a DoS attack. Here is a few from the logs:

Since the upgrade by Cisco I can only see Win7 PC's on the network. I can not see the USB drive attached to the E4500, nor can I see my Media server which is Linux based nor any Win XP computuers.

I'm moving my media files and when it hits a 50+GB video it reports that there is not enough space to move the file. Smaller files are moving just fine.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi sold off my e4200 & brought a e4500 .The e4200 has had a 2 TB W.D external drive attached ,i stream movies to a sat pvr in the .ts format .The problem is i set the e4500 up & it deleted my .ts files not once but 3 times.when i brought the e4500 i did roll the firmware back to the classic non cloud firmware.the third time i had turned the router off & once swtiched back on my files were gone .should i safely remove the drive from the set up ? what if i have a power failure?

Anytime sooner and it won't broadcast a SSID or connect to the modem. This is a huge inconvenience if you want to change router settings and then you need to restart.

Only way I got it back up is to install the older non-CCC version 2.37. Strange all was fine until the power outage. Not sure if I should even bother to upgrade to 2.38 again.

The chat support person finally dropped out of the chat and the router remains in an unusable state.I currently had to cable wired connection of laptop to get an internet connection.
due to location issues, I have to use the E4500 as a 2nd router. I have a Netgear router setup as the primary router connected to the internet, this acts as my firewall. The E4500 connected to the netgear and it route all traffic fine. The only issue I have is port forwarding to E4500. I've setup the FTP server on the E4500 and can access it via the internal network. Then on the netgear I forward the FTP port 21to the E4500. But it doesn't seem to work.
I know when I forward all my other ports, it works just fine. If I setup a FTP server on an other machine and forward that the port it works, just not the E4500. I've disabled all firewall settings on the E4500, and still nothing.
We recently had to rebuild our ACS server. Now when we have an 802.1x authentication failure and look at the RADIUS logs for the specific user, it does not show us the MAC address of the device the user tried to login with. We use this all the time because users have PDAs and other mobile devices that they save their passwords on. Then when they change their domain password on their laptop, they don't change it on their PDA which then tries to authenticate them using the wrong password and eventually locks them out. We need to see the MAC address so we can pinpoint which device is causing the lockout. The report I am generating is when you go to this location: Monitoring & Reports > ... > Reports > Catalog > User > User_Authentication_Summary

I am having trouble viewing all the Administration logs in ACS View. I have my Local Log Target set to a Maximum log retention period of 90 days. In ACS View I can display authentications that go back 90 days + However when I try and display the "ACS_Configuration_Audit" in View and perform a Custom query that goes back 90 days it will only display about 35 days of Admin logs.I know the logs are there because when I go into CLI and do a search like "show logging | i "ObjectType=Administrator Account" the Administration logs go back over a year.why ACS View cannot display all the Admin logs?The ACS is running v5.1.0.44 Patch 6 (Also experiencing this in a v5.2 ACS as well)
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe’ve got lot of ASA appliances (around 30, 5505/5510/5520) and we never had this problem since the use of the new image software ASA 8.4(1) and ASDM 6.4(1). So, my problem is located on two ASA 5520 with active/passive failover with ASA image 8.4(1) and ASDM image 6.4(1).
My problem is that our appliance doesn’t show any logs when an ACL deny a packet, even if when I specify a specific “deny ACL” with a specific logging condition, asdm and ssh buffer logging are empty but the counters of the ACL increment.
I have an issue on an ASA 5510 that I have noticed today, when I am using the log viewer all of the information recorded only shows the high end source and destination ports. For example
Source IP 10.10.4.69
Source Port 59886
Destination IP 8.8.8.8
Destination Port 59866
So what seems to be happening is that I am seeing only half of the connection in the log viewer, I see the side with the high end ports and not the side with the ports the application uses, this example was done with a ping. All my services are working correctly and the client sending the ping gets the response expected, it just seems I have lost the logging display?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIm using a Linksys E4500 wireless router behind a Motorola SB6121 modem. My OS is Windows 7 and it is fully up to date. In general my entire network is working well. Now I have purchased a new IP surveillance camera and need to forward a port to be able to have remote viewing of the camera. Mi ISP blocks quite a few inbound ports including 80 so I have been trying a lot of ports all over the map to find something that will allow inbound access.
After several hours, nothing I have tried works, using a couple of different port probes including one called CanYouSeeMe I always get a "timed out" message. I have disabled the firewall in the router and on the local computer and still no luck. This says to me that either Cox is blocking nearly all ports (doubtful) or the modem is blocking access to the router somehow.
The Surfboard modem doesn't have a built in router. Unfortunately I don't have an old working modem to put in the circuit.
I don't guess it matters but the camera is accessible from all other local computers on the LAN using its IP address with a port number appended (right now it's using 8000).

This is true for wired or wireless connections.To test, I connected a wired PC directly to my cable modem and was able to connect to all websites fine. I also tried an old D-Link router I had on hand and was able to connect to all sites fine. Went back to the E4200 and was blocked. I re-loaded the firmware and same results.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT310N V2 wireless router. Last week it started blocking access to our family website. That website appears to be the only one that is blocked. Every other website we have tried works just fine. I have tried the following.Remove the WRT310N router and plug a computer directly into the broadband modem. After this everything works fine for the one computer I have hooked into the internet.Remove the WRT310N router and substitute an old Linksys non-wireless router. Everything works fine for the hardwired computers on the LAN. Again, not really an option, need wireless access.
Unplug the router and so a soft reset. Still blocks this one website.I have not done a hard reset to factory specs. I wasn't looking forward to redoing everything I had set up.I looked over every setting in this router and can't find anything that would cause it to block a web page. I am far from a networking expert, but most of the settings seem pretty obvious.

I cannot access this site from any of the computers/ devices in our house, whether they be connected by ethernet or wireless. However, when i move to a different network, I can connect to this site immediately from exactly the devices that do not connect in our house.
How can I determine how/if the router is somehow blocking this site? I have reset the router and upgraded the firmware. Same problem persists. I see nothing in the router settings that would be blocking this site, and I have certainly done nothing intentional in the settings to block this. We used to be able to connect to this with no problems, but all of a sudden, we are blocked.
I can't access a particular website with my Linksys WRT54g router in line, but can do so if I hook my mac directly to the ISP's modem. I have checked the firmware of the router and it is up to date. This is happening with only one website. It happens on multiple browsers. Using an imac with OSX 10.8.

Friday morning was the last time I could connect to this page. I cannot hit it via web, ssh, or ftp or ping. I can view it at work and on my 3g internet. But no more from home. I listen to the station via other resources, but I can't get to the website which has lots of features I use.The specifics are that from any of the computers connected to our network, I can't reach the site. When I plug a computer directly into the Comcast modem, I can reach the site.
