One of our clients is going to install WCS on a Vmware machine and uninstall it from the physical server. He wants to know if he can use the same license or get another one; since he will get a new Mac address with the new VmWare machine.

I’m stuck in some problem with installation of LMS4.0 in customer site.
- we purchase a LMS4.0(CWLMS-4.0-100-K9) but couldn’t install it on Windows server 2008 R2 64bit because those things don’t support each other. - I need to upgrade the LMS4.0 to LMS4.2 that is supporting Windows server 2008 R2 64bit. - So, I ordered following items via product update tool (url...) [code]
- In this status, how to install LMS4.2 with license for 100 devices? If I install R-PI12-BASE-K9 first, can i enter a licese for 100 devices for CWLMS-4.0-100-K9 into PI1.2?
I have a WLC 2006 running 4.2.130 code with AP1020s.I also have several users that have VMware machines that run various flavors of Linux, etc Virtual Machines on Windows XP Pro.
The Windows XP works fine on the wireless. It is the VMWare Virtual Machine running the Bridged ethernet connection that have problems.
The problem is that the Virtual Machine doesn't get a DHCP IP address from the wireless network.
If the user plugs into the wired network all works fine.I have done some captures that show the DHCP requests going out with the MAC address of the wireless client, but no DHCP replies.
It looks like the WLC is seeing the additional DHCP requests from the MAC address of the wireless adapter and dropping them. The same DHCP server (different scopes) are used for both wireless and wired clients.
The DHCP server shows NO activity when the Virtual Machine tries to get a DHCP IP address. The DHCP server is a Cat 6500 running IOS v12.2(33)SXH. DHCP activity was monitored using debug IP dhcp server events/debug IP dhcp server packets. The VMWare Workstation tried is 6.02-6.04.
In Cisco ASDM 7.1(1), webvpn configuration, it is possible to configure bookmarks with "vdi://" links to Citrix's or Vmware's Virtual Desktop Infrastructures, but we couldn't find any configuration resource (conf guide) on official Cisco site: if it is actually possible to integrate Vmware View Client into ASA 9.1 WebVpn solution?

I have just installed Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 from .ova file on a VMware architecture. My customer wants to know if the server is compatible with vmware tools.
I am reading up on the ACS VMware appliance installation instructions and am a bit confused on the disk space requirements. It says 60Gb is required and then goes on to talk about 500GB for the secondary instance. Do I need more than 60gb? Is the secondary instance a separate machine or part of the same one?URL

have been trying to load LMS3.2.1 on a 2008 VM ware box. Initially had problems with services having to be manually changed or forced. Once that was overcome it logs in but Apache feeds a never-ending 302 redirects until either the browser of the web server aborts.
We have 2 separate ACS 4.0 servers installed on windows 2003 server(2 separate location) Both these servers are Integrated with Cisco WLSE and Corporate AD.
Now, we are planning for Migrating to ACS 5.4 on VmWare ESXi 5.1. And need to Integrated with Cisco WLSE and Corporate AD.
Can we import the datas from 2 x ACS 4.0 server to this new Single ACS 5.4 vmware server?
I want to test ncs 1.0 virtual appliance demo version with vm, as we are not having the hardware to install vmware Vsphere hypervisor we tried to mount in vmware workstation.Vmware workstation support to mount the virtual appliance with ovf or ova format,But it showing some eroor as attached screenshot.
Will NCS run with vmware workstation or player or how to test NCS ova format in lab environment.
Are there any recommendations for configuring the VM for the ACS 5.x? What are the required minimum CPU-Cycles to dedicate and also the minimum RAM to dedicate?
What are the VMware requirements to run ACS4.1.4? Im trying to use a VM this as the migration server. According to the cisco docs, it states that: "ACS 4.1 has been tested on the VMWare ESX server with the following configuration:
•VMWare ESX Server 3.0.0 •16 GB of RAM •AMD Opteron Dual Core processor •300 GB hard drive •Four virtual machines •Windows 2003 Standard Edition •3 GB of RAM for the guest operating system"
I understand it will work as it "has been tested" with those specs, but the doc does not state the minimum requirements for the virtual machine. I dont want to use/find 300GB of space if I only need 20GB(as an example) to make it work.
I'm with problems to migrate the ACS 5.1 hardware to ACS 5.1 vmware. In my infraestructure I have a appliance with ACS 5.1 and I need to migrate to vmware to do HA. I installed vmware as the Cisco ACS recommendations. I made a backup of the ACS hardware and copied the local disk vmware ACS.
When I start the restore process after a few minutes an error occurs:

I have 6 computers connected in LAN network. In one of the machines(client_1) i have installed the VMWARE.VMWare and Clinet_1 are talking to each other whereas VMWare and other clients are not getting connected. I tried various solutions from the internet but all in vain...i would like to have vmware as another machine in my LAN with incoming and outgoing connections to access files.
I am running a virtual machine with 6 GB of ram with OS Windows 7 64 bit.I turned on remote desktop connection made sure firewall is off and even enabled ISS.But I cant connect to it from my main PC or any other PC.Is it because I have the same IP on the VM? Because I want to sell these VM's as dedicated servers but it wont work.
Can I have some programs use my wireless connection, and some use my wired? they are connected to two different networks, (wired - school, wireless - phone tether). Also, is it possible to have two virtual machines be connected to two different network adapters, ie. wired and wireless?
I am trying to install ACS 5.0 on workstation, however once the install finsihes it reboots and I enter the Linux bash command line rather than the Cisco CLI.
Note - this is now fixed. I followed the steps here to install ACS 5.0 on VMware Workstation 7: url...
I did an ISE 1.1.1 installation on a VMWare with ESX 5.0. After installation I am not able to login with my credentials(username admin, password XXXX) I can ping my ISE server after initial installation but I can not ping my ISE server after full installation.I did the installation several times and even did it on a VM with differrent VMversion.
I have a client that is running ACS 5.3 as a VM in ESX 4.1. The client wants their VMWare admins to have the ability to shut down the ACS server during maintenance etc... I know I could create a CLI user with admin priviliges, however, assigning full admin priviliges is beyond the scope of what the user requires. They simply want a user account with the added privilige of performing a halt from the CLI. In the CLI Reference Guide for ACS.
So is it possible to create an account with user priviliges, then modify its permissions to allow for a halt?
Yesterday I had a installation of LMS4.2.2 who was working fine. I followed the procedure to install VMware Tools on the virtual appliance on this thread url...
Now I have a problem with the processes of LMS, but maybe it is not linked. I forget to do a snapshot before installing VMware Tools so I need to find a solution. A whole bunch of services do not start know. I tried to uninstall the VMware tools, to regenerate SSL certificate, I rebooted the server several times. It is running under VMware 5.1. [code]
