View 1 RepliesI recently (~month ago) switched to a new computer after my old one (which I had configured the router on previously with no problems) died.Since then, I have been unable to access my router's config page (entering in the ip address simply results in a blank page with no prompt for username/password). Switching browsers (I've tried Firefox 5 and IE 8) does not solve the problem, nor does disabling AdBlockPlus/NoScript on Firefox. Any way to access my router so I can begin forwarding ports again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having wrt610n and there is an issue, i can login to the config page via http, but using the same computer i'm not able to login there via https but the same time i can login via ipad and the other computer, using the https.i even tried to reset the router settings, but the result was the same, so what PC option can cause it?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a 3750 stack of 4 switches that was installed about 2 years ago. Recently I was doing some work on the switch and realized that I am unable to save the config. I amobviously concerned that if the power fails or the switch reboots I will be reconfiguring it and that is not something I am interested in doing!

Basically all I want to do is login to my routers config page so that I can forward ports. I was able to this a few weeks ago but recently I have received this error. Failed to connect
Things that I have already tried:
- Tries using 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, http://192.168.1.1 and all kind of variations.
- Tried with different browsers.
- Tried with seperate computer with different OS's (Mac and PC)
- Unable to flush dns because I get this error: CMD prompt error message .
- Have factory reset router a few times now.
- Unplugged, left off for 20mins-2hours.
If i connected the latop to brand new out of the box ASA 5505 through consloe cable and i have a config file on this laptop from other ASA5505, is there anyway i can upload that config file into startup-config of this new ASA5505 through console cable, without using TFTP or FTP?

View 5 Replies View RelatedCurrently have a 5508 in the lab and testing 4 AP's with it. Eventually there will be 18 AP's spread thru out different floor in our building.
So far access is working fine using WPA, 802.1x and the client configured to use windows logon credentials..But it doesn't seem to automatically transfer between access points.
In my WCS v7.0.172.0, I recently configured the Controller Configuration Backup task. Backups seem to be working fine for the past few days. How do I tell it how far back I want to keep logs, or how many log files to keep before deleting the older ones? Seems like it will just keep on saving the config backups with a date stamp until the TFTP server runs out of disk space.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been working with the 871 router and configuring it for work at home users. Now we are purchasing and using the 881's instead. I noticed that after write erasing the router, I need to run the command in the global config "license boot module c880-data level advipservices" just have eigrp. However when I type show license, I get the following:
Index 1 Feature: advipservices
Period left: 8 weeks 3 days
Period Used: 2 hours 55 minutes
License Type: EvalRightToUse

There is more but I left it out. However it shows that the advipservices license has only 8 weeks and 3 days left. What is this? I thought that when I buy a brand new router, I should get everything, including IOS licenses. So I would like to know is this a new licensing scheme and how does it get register and how do I get it so that the advipservices license is permanent?
I am trying to assign a static ip and default gateway to my LAP through the CLI, but after I reboot it, I lose the config and it reverts back to dhcp. Is there any command to save the config to the AP through the CLI? I've tried all I can think of (i.e. wr mem, copy run start, etc...) and have looked throught the available commands but cannot figure out a way to do it..

I posted before about my problem in forwarding certain ports in a LAN-to-WAN cascaded router setup, and I finally gave up looking for a solution, and went for a LAN-to-LAN. On the internet there is many articles to be found on how to accomplish the setup, but none of them is complete, and as such, I think I really screwed up someplace. My setup: ISP modem/router (192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0) DHCP enabled, and DHCP address range 3-100 NAT configured Static IP address for a Synology NAS connected to the E4200 SSID id_1
Then the E4200 Internet connection type: I set to Static IP IP 192.168.1.2 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 0.0.0.0 (to disable the WAN)
Then, the network setup: Router IP: 192.168.1.2 gave me the error that WAN and LAN IPs were identical. I played around quite some time but always got an “illegal value” error. Then finally I put the IP to 192.168.0.1 (IP I had in LAN-to-WAN) and this was accepted. And subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 The SSID I left unchanged from what it was, id_2 (also gives me the advantage that I know to which router I am connected)
I rebooted the E4200, and I was connected. But … I am unable to connect to the E4200 configuration page, and even Cisco Connect cannot establish the connection.
WRT120N router: After several hours on the phone with Technical support I got nowhere. Guy had me putting in "admin" in the user name then the PW. I kept getting the 401 authorization required message. After all that I reset my router and used the disk to setup again. After that I went again to the 192.168.1.1 and got the request for authorization, entered admin in the PW and it does nothing, just reloads the request and browser keeps connecting. I have WIN 7 HP, use Firefox 5.0 mostly, but tried on IE8 as well and it does the same thing. I am attempting to open a port.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have several AP541 (on different site locations) which I have currently configured for WPA enterprise using windows 2008 as the Radius server. This works fine for staff members who use the wireless when roaming around the offices.
I would also like to setup another VAP for guests to allow them to access our internet but nothing else on the network. I was wondering what approach would be the best one to adopt to achieve this. Would I be best to setup a WPA Personal VAP and allow guests to access the wireless this way. Or is there a better approach? If we did adopt this approach I presume this would mean that we have to log onto each AP in turn and then change the WPA key on each one everytime we decide to change the key? Or is there some clever software I could use to change them all in one go.

Bought recently and I'm very pleased with Setup and Performance.
However, even though I have tried repeatedly with different user details and passwords I cant access the router Config without resetting to defaults using the pin in the back and admin admin.
I am using W7 and get to a log in screen via Control Panel / ... Network Sharing Centre / Network Map and see Router. Click on this and up comes a User Name and Pasword form but it never works with what I entered for the router.
I'm running into and interesting issue concerning a twice NAT config.
We have a remote site that needs to connect to a server cluster on our end. Using ASDM I have created a NAT rule that uses PAT to map our server addresses to a single IP (this is due to constraints placed on us by the remote site). This in and of itself shouldn't be a problem. The issue is that the VPN tunnel won't come up unless I also map an address to the remote site's sever.
Example:
Appliance: ASA 5510
ASA Version: 8.4(2)
ASDM Version: 6.4(5)
Original Packet:
Source Interface: inside
Destination Interface: outside
Source Address: Server_Cluster
Destination Address: Remote_Server
Service: any
Translated Packet:
Source NAT Type: Dynamic PAT (Hide)
Source Address: Mapped_Server_Cluster_Address
Destination Address: Mapped_Remote_Server_Address
Service: -- Original --
Within the Translated Packet section, if I set Destination Address to the actual remote server address nothing happens when I attempt to bring up the tunnel. However, if I map an address to the remote server, the tunnel begins to come up and then fails during phase two (as the mapped address doesn't match the addressing that has been defined in the remote end's connection profile).
Initially I thought the issue may be due to an IP addressing overlap since both sites are running similar numbers, but the default route statement on our ASA, should contend with this issue. Also, each time I change the NAT rule, I change the connection profile to match those changes.
So, ultimately, what I wish to accomplish is to allow connectivity between my site and the remote site without having to map another address to their remote server. How may I do this?

We have two offices in the US and one in Mexico. Our site in Mexico connects to our headquarters in the US over an AVPN/ MPLS circuit .Mexico has a separate Internet connection through TelMex. There is an ASA 5510 at headquarters and an ASA 5505 in Mexico. We have a fail over VPN set up in the ASAs for times when the MPLS circuit goes down. All Internet traffic in Mexico is supposed to be routed to the TelMex connection. All company traffic is supposed to be routed to the Cisco router. ASA is supposed to be last resort route. We have a fail over VPN set up in the ASAs for times when the MPLS circuit goes down. (Or at least we did until I had someone work on the configuration) Everything had been working fine for the last 4 years.
Yesterday when the MPLS went down, so did their Internet connection. I realized the Internet traffic is now coming through the MPLs circuit to head quarters and out our ASA. Obviously there is a problem with the configuration. I do not have enough experience to figure this out. I have attached the configs and the routes for both the ASA and the router.
