i have an issue with a 2106 WLC. We have a 44xx series WLC and had an issue with Apple devices: they could not print from wireless. The workaround in the 44xx series WLC was that we have enabled Unicast in the Access Point Multicast mode (configued under Controller/General).
The issue now is that the 2106 wlc does not have unicast in AP multicast mode.

I have some old 1231 APs in the school in which I work.I would like to create a local network (no LAN, no internet, just a point to point wifi connection) managed by the access point (in DHCP).That's because we have an apple TV connected to a projector and some ipads. My idea was to put the devices locally in the same closed network for share via AIR Mirror the ipads on the apple TV.

I recently purchased a Ciso 1200 Series WAP and I want to bridge this to my existing Cisco Wireless Router So I can extend my coverage. I have done some research but keep coming up short as to where I need to start. Note*(I do not want a physical connection to the WAP, I simply want to be able to bridge the connection from my existing Wireless router to my WAP.

I noticed that the 3600 access point series will get an add-on module to support 802.11ac. This standard will support more than 1 GBit/s.But the 3600 series still do only have got one GBit port. Any extended information about 802.11ac in the upcoming Cisco portfolio?

I recently upgraded our controllers to the latest version 7 software, as I read this was one of the requirements to get them to connect. But I am not having any luck getting into a controller. Normally I plug them in to the network, they pop into the controller listed as something like AP5057.a844.xxxx and then I can finish configuring them, but a static IP on them, etc. This is the first of this model AP I have tried to deploy, so I am wondering what is different with these. or what I might be missing in the default config in the WLAN controllers. Niether of which are set to "Master" either.

I have a question about managing the Access Point:
-WLC2504
-AIR-LAP1262N-A-K9
First: I need the access point works by period, example: 08:00AM - 06:00PM after that disable the radio and return work next day at 08:00AM
Second: Also, if the radio no activity for a long period (e.g 60 or 120 minutes), disable the radio interface. It's possible with the WLC? Or maybe need implement one NCS?EnergyWise Technology - but, I only need "shutdown" the radio not the Access Point completely.

I recently purchased the E3000.I thought i had read that this devices can act as an access point. There is no clear "access point" mode option so i configured it as best as i could to work with our radius server. I can connect to the wireless with radius credentials just fine but i don't get assigned a ip address from dhcp. I tried using an old blekin that does have ap mode and it works just fine.

how to configure an AIR-LAP521-G-E-K9 wireless access point in standalone mode? I've tried connecting it to a standard 1GB switch, feed it with IP address via DHCP it responds to PING but when it comes to detect it in CCA (3.1) it says unable to connect without even asking for username and/or password. Trying to connect to it through HTTP or HTTPS doesn't work either.

I have spent most of the weekend trying to get this router to act as a proper Access Point.
When it does work (Stay connected) speeds and latency are rotten. If I go back to Routing Mode this thing kicks butt, but I isolate all devices attached to a different subnet and trying to set up proper routes has proved imposable. Firmware 1.0.2 r 13
The online help stated to connect to the "internet interface" when in Bridge Mode DHCP Server Is not broadcasting to on the wireless or wired interfaces.
If I used the wired interface as the uplink I can broadcast the DHCP to any device on wired but again nothing to the Wireless. When I "Show Routing Table" I see two static routes pointing to the ATT router for the Wired/Wireless Interfaces.. 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 (my Gateway) Wired/Wireless (my Gateway) 255.255.255.0 0.0.0. Wired/Wireless
AP mode should only be working in Broadcast. By connecting the Wired Interfaces alone up to my switched network should not use the router at all. If you force all traffic to my router all traffic has to be inspected by the firewall You create a bottleneck my router interface is 10/100.
ATT 2 Wire Gateway/Router with pinholes. 10/100/1000 Non managed 24 port Switch Network. Server infrastructure serving DNS/DHCP.
I decided to buy this after reading it offered Bridge/Access Point mode instead of getting the WAP610 because I wanted to have the option to change to routing mode or AP mode. Since my ATT Uverse Router Wireless is “g” it takes forever to transfer files to and from my servers.

I have a network with 2 WRT54Gs in it. One in the besement connects to my cable modem and serves as a gateway and DHCP server as well as a wireless access point. That WRT54G is perfectly accessible. I have another in my room set up as a router and access point only, connected by its ethernet port to the gateway. This one proves a bit trickier. Thet network works flawlessly, and if I couldn't see it sitting right there I would doubt it even existed. I can't ping it (I forgot the IP but tried all the ones that seemed logical), it doesn't show up in my network map, etc. From what I gather that's how a switch is supposed to work. But since this is also a managed router, I would think there should still be some way to connect to it to administer it. How can I log in to this router to change settings if I need to?
I'm not sure if maybe 192.168.2.0 is the other router or if that's some kind of special address (My network is on the 192.168.2.* subnet, don't even ask why...). I've seen it in other posts about routing tables but they all had it routing to 0.0.0.0 instead of the router's own IP. I tried pinging 192.168.2.255 and got no responses at all, not from any computers or from either of the routers, so that was not useful. Tracert from my computer to the gateway doesn't show the router (my computer connects to the gateway through the router).

I have just installed 3 access points along with 6 repeater access points all running V12.4. They are all AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9 using the 2.4GHz radio.
Prior to installation I bench tested that the repeaters would associate with the access points and if one of the access points was turned off the repeaters would automatically roam to another access point. I did not have all 9 devices powered up at the same time, but did have 2 repeaters and 2 access points powered up to simulate association and roaming.
During installation as access points and repeaters were powered up everything behaved as expected (repeaters were associating to access points etc.) however during installation once everything was installed the 3 access points were all powered down for half an hour or so and once powered back on the repeaters did not automatically re-associate until they were re-booted.
I have now configured the repaters with parent MAC addresses to reflect the above current assocaition pattern but not yet powered off the access points to test if this forces re-association as this is now a live operational site!!
Is it normal to have to re-boot the repeaters if ALL 3 access points are powered down at the same time? i.e. If only one access point is powered down will the repeaters automaically roam to another access point o.k.?

I have around six number of Cisco 1252 Access Points on HReap mode and wIPS submode in one particular location. This was implemented more than six months and it was working fine. Suddenly, I faced Network conjestion and more bandwidth utilization in that location in particular. But, after disabling the wIPS in the AP, The bandwidth got stable and working fine. Not sure, if wIPS will utilize more bandwidth..
Does this will be anywhere related to the RF Heat maps that Cisco NCS will generate? As there is no map uploaded for that location, Will this cause an issue?

I have a Cisco 880 (supplied by my company and as such I have little access to the control panel). I have a Linksys (Cisco) E1200 to use as an access point. Cisco setup (love it!) but the simple setup gives the E1200 an ip range starting at 192.168.1.1 while the Cisco 880 range is 192.168.185.113. I need to have all connections in the same ip rage (192.168.185.xxx) for remote monitoring. What is the best way to accomplish this? Bridge mode (I don't need Guest Mode which I read is not possible in bridge mode)? Disable DHCP on the E1200?

we have a couple of AP1262N-E-K9 access point with firmware version 12.4(25d)JA1 operating in autonmous mode.
I attempted to measure the signal quality between the APs by setting one device to repeater mode while all others are in root mode. Then, I execute the following command: dot11 Dot11Radio 0 antenna-alignment
1. The output of "show dot11 antenna-alignment" is incorrect, the % value represents the signal strength in dBm without the - (minus). E.g. "-25 dBm" is displayed as "Signal 25% 0 dBm".Now, I know that is only a display error but still this is not clean. Is this a known issue?
2. Why are the measured signal strength values not displayed on the SSH console during the antenna-alignment test? Is it obligatory to use the console to see these values? Or is it also a known bug which might be fixed in later firmware versions?

I have a Wap610n access point, when I am connected on the device in N mode I got an average speed of 50 bytes per sec, in G mode no problem with an average speed of 2.250 meg per sec .I have tried with 2 different USB keys (Belkin f7d2101 and Hercules hwnum-300) but the result is the same. The access point is configured in 2.4 GHz, band 40 mhz only, and I have verified that no other radio emissions are on the same frequencies than the Wap610n in my neighborhood.
