Cisco :: Accessing ASDM Launch Page From Windows 7

I'm trying to setup a new Cisco ASA 5505. I performed the "config factory-default" command and subsequently pulled an IP from my ASA. However, I am unable to pull up the ASDM GUI launch page using IE9, Google Chrome, or Firefox using my Windows 7 computer. Using Wireshark, I can see that I'm getting a TLSv1 handshake failure.I fired up a Windows XP VM inside of Virtual Box to see if it would work better. Turns out my XP VM with IE 8 pulls up the ASDM launch page without a problem. why my Windows 7 system can't pull up the ASDM launch page?

recently, ater successfully connecting the VPN to the ASA 5505, I am unable to then launch the ASDM client meaning that I can only SSH in to the unit.
I found an old post from 2008 and replied. It refers to an article talking about it is not possible to enable https server and webvpn on the same interface.
Well I am running ASA 8.0(4) so this restriction does not apply.

i have a new ASA 5520 with only factory default settings. I ran the commands below on the CLI as instructed for a Cisco document but i cannot access it via https://192.168.1.1/admin like it says i should be able to.
Step 1 To identify the IP addresses from which the security appliance accepts HTTPS connections, enter the following command for each address or subnet:
#hostname(config)# http source_IP_address mask source_interface

Remote LAN pool is configured as inside. Route is proper. I am able to open 443 port from the remote LAN pool on the ASA. That means, the port is open from the remote pool. No response if I try https on the browser.

i am unable to launch ASDM, and access https:// to run Asdm..everything worked find yesterday but now for some reason it wont work?When i am trying to log in with the asdm it just hangs on the connecting to device... please wait...When i am tryng access the https://... i get the ssl do you want to trust.. and i press proceed anyway and i get an error

Cisco vpn client 5.0.07.0410 on windows 7 PC does not show application window, minimizes to tray and does not launch and hard to figure what is wrong with application . tried re-installation and changing with different version of Cisco VPN client same issues is noticed on the PC.

I have an AP(Cisco Lynksis Wireless G WAP54G) with one port (LAN) on the back, i have tried several time accessing the administration page but in vain. I reseted the AP (holding the reset button within 10 secondes) and try again to access through my internet brower but still having the same issue on accessing the admin page. The main target is to access the admin page and configure settings in order to amplify my signal in some offices away.

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 V10. I've upgraded it to use asa825-K8 & asdm-649.103. Before the upgrade I was able to get to the ASDM via https://192.168.1.1. However after the upgrade I just get a page cannot be displayed. I have rebooted the ASA.

if it is possible to access a modem setup page with a E4200 router? My router is on 192.168.254.200 and modem(WAG-200G) is on 192.168.254.100, ethernet cable is on internet port on the e4200 and on port1 on the modem. Modem is set is bridge and I set up a ppoe and dhcp on router. Everything is ok, except that i can not access modem setup page to see adsl conection speed and settings.

I have Verizon FIOS internet/wireless router and then a WRT310N wireless router connected to it thru Ethernet cable. I want to disable DHCP in the Linksys, but when I try to access the set up page at address 192.168.1.1 the Verizon router set up page shows up. I've tried to connect the router directly to the computer, but it needs the internet connection from the Verizon router. How do I get to the set up of the Linksys at the same time the Verizon is using the same address?

Well there are 2 PC in my LAN:NBNotebook WiFi connection to my router NETGEAR DGN2200v3 Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 DSKDesktop Cabled connection to my router NETGEAR DGN2200V3 Windows XP Home Edition 32bit SP3 If from DSK I try to access NB shared folders through network, everything is fine.If from NB I try to access DSK shared folders through network, the following window appears:The strange thing is that this problem seems to occur randomly! Sometimes it occurs, sometimes not (during the same session of usage of NB). This is annoying because usually I need to work with NB on files which are stored in DSK through local network, so if I need to apply a change to a file, sometimes I won't have a chance to do that.
Some minutes ago I configured DSK and NB so that the account for both has the same username and password.When on NB I try to access DSK shared folders, the window I posted above appears, I fill the data but neither this time I have granted access...This is what happens:- I reset NB WiFi connection- Using NB I try to access DSK shared folders --> everything is ok- About 5 minutes passes- Using NB I try to access DSK shared folders --> the authentication window appears, I fill the username and password fields but they won't be recognized

I recently bought a personal laptop that I'd like to use at work. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium installed and because of that, I can't join it to the Windows Server 2003 domain we have. I don't really need to print or any of the other things that go with being on the domain, I just need access to a few key folders. Is there any way to access shares on the server with Win 7 Home?

I have a VPN connection to my office network. The VPN connection appears to work fine as it connects and logs me in successfully. In the connection box I have to provide a domain and my username to log in. Once the VPN is connected I am then able to ping my office computer as if I was on the same network. That is great. The problem is that there is a server on that network that defines a bunch of A records for web applications we are working on and I can't seem to hit any of those from my home computer, even though I can at work. If I remote into the office PC and navigate to these addresses they work fine. I also know that my co-worker can hit these a records from home so it has to be something I'm doing wrong.

nat global entry not showing up in ASDM but it does via CLI see blow, it's a policy NAT.
nat (inside) 5 access-list inside_nat_outbound_4
global (outside) 5 ************-OUTSIDE netmask 255.0.0.0
Global 5 doesnt show in ASDM 6.1 (5) the globals only go up to 3

My wireless connection for my laptop is showing upas N on Win 7 but G on DIR-655 status page??? I'm confused. Am I getting N speeds/coverage or stuck with G. If G, why? I've tried wiping my wireless network config. on Windows and reestablishing it, but no change. The DIR-655 config page shows my machine connected at 54 Mbps and Type as G

I have ASA 5510 with CSC-SSM-10 .ASA 5510 IOS version- 8.4.2 and CSC-SSM-10 IOS version 6.6.1162.Web filtering is working fine with respective to my configuration.From yesterday morning, i was facing issue with the sites like gmail, webmail.After giving credentials like username and password in the web page, the page is not resonding.In troubleshooting process, i removed all the acls, class maps which will direct all the traffic towards the CSC. In this scenario all my mail service sites are opening.If we apply the these ACLs and Class-Maps, only my mail service sites only affecting.

During the upgrade of my itunes/iphone to ios and iCloud, IE suddenly stopped working and hasn't worked since. I keep getting a message saying there is a problem with it and if Windows finds a solution, i will be notified.It's hard to troubleshoot because I can't get on the internet with that PC.It's running Windows 7.

Any of the internet browsers I have installed on my pc won't launch.
- programs like skype or Y!Messenger work fine
- I did a system restore and nothing
- I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox (that's my main browser, but IE and chrome don't launch either)
- the process shows up for a few seconds in task manager and then just disappears
- sometimes the browser opens but closes itself in less than a second
- I ran a scan with Malwarebyte&Antimalware and nothing shows up

I am configuring Clientless SSL VPN on ASA5505 with 8.2(2)17. After the login, default page should be "Home", but if activating "Anyconnect". it always goes to Anyconnect as a first page. If disabling "Anyconnect" using SSL VPN Customization Editor --> Portal --> Application, it always goes to the other one. Never get "Home" as a first page, can I set the first page manually?

I tried to run it, but .. I don't know, button doesn't work.
Now, I'm not sure - hardware problem or linux/driver problem. Wifi light is off and I'cant even launch it.

i just installed ACS 5.1.0.44 with the latest Patch on a VMWare virtual machine and installed the evaluation license.Everything works fine except for the "Monitoring & Report Viewer"-Tab:When i try to launch the Viewer, it opens a new browser-window/tab, which then again opens another (the same) window/tab, and so on and on. So there would be an infinite number of windows/tabs, if i wouldn't close them all real quickly. Same problem with any client and any browser.I already deinstalled ACS 5.1 and tried ACS 5.2 on the same machine -> same problem.
