I am a very basic user on the Cisco Switch programming. I was given a Cisco 3750G-48 to tinker with in my home office. I was wondering if someone could lead me to some good sources of information to program and configure this switch? I am wanting to create a GB network in the house with the computers that I have and the storage arrays.

if the sge2010 switch support Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and if so how do I enable it. I have a small wireless router that support it and would like client connected on it te bo visible from the wan side and that worked when I had another device doing the routing with RIP support the wireless router was picking up that information and the routing for the wireless client was working.

I have an environment where i have two nexus 7010 switches, along with 2 nexus 5510's. I need to run OSPF as a layer 3 routing protocol between the vpc peer links. I have 1 link being used as a keep alive link, and 3 other links being used as a VpC link.
1) Is it best to configure a separate Vpc VLAN i.e 1010
2) Is it best to configure a vrf context keep-alive
3) just have the management address as the peer ip's.

I have a Linksys E3000 and I see the gateway (192.168.1.1) listed in my DNS server addresses.
1. Why is this listed here in the DNS?
2. How do I remove it from my DNS servers or stop the router from inserting it into my DNS server list?

I have four ASA 5505 devices connected via tunnels. All of the tunnels have a single point of exit to the outside, an AT&T T1 line. Because of issues with bandwidth, I added a secondary line to each site. In this case the secondary line is a comcast high speed internet connection. What I would like to do is set up a route so that any traffic that is going to the internet (browser or email) be directed through the Comcast line and all internal traffic (file transfer, ERP, VOIP) can be directed to the AT&T line. Each has a separate ip address. There is a single default gateway set up on the ASA now.

I have 2 ASBR routers, AGFR01RTR03 and AGFR02RTR03, performing OSPF to OSPF redistribution in both ways for the same ***. They also do summarization for our private addressing scheme. It is all working just fine for that part (neighbors, summarization, redistribution).

I rdp into our server 2008 via IP. This is a router on ip 0.1, this is forwarded to my server on IP 0.3. This server was setup with DHCP default gateway of 0.1. We added a new outside connection on IP 0.2. I was talked through the changes so that internal DHCP requests went to gateway IP 0.2 but RDP still used 0.1. I plan on getting rid of 0.1.Where is the setting to change the RDP to use default gateway of 0.2?

I just got a wireless router to use with my Hughesnet modem, and it worked fine but my mom turned off the power strip that everything was plugged into and now it won't work. My dad says it's because the Ivip4IP gateway was messed up or something, and I need to change the wireless router's gateway IP to the computer's default.

Currently the OSPF network consist of 2 segment route via static route. One is AREA 0 and another AREA 10.Both network are seperate entity, only static route to route between 2 networks. But the static route do not provide the dynamically and flexibility, I plan to run routing between 2 networks via VLAN160 and VLAN162.
I still want to manitnace it was 2 different OSPFrouting domain. Can I run OSPF with differrent OSPF porcess ID?

I picked up a pair of RV220W's and before I spent loads of time at a remote site, I figured I'd go through some VPN testing at home to make sure I could get it setup properly. What this means is I've plugged the Internet uplink into a switch, then from the switch into both routers & configured them (using unique static IP's for each) from there. For what its worth: While I have some IT experience, I don't have strong networking experience.
I setup several VLAN's on the local RV220W, and the end result is to make it so that an asset at the remote site with an IP in any of the ranges (192.168.121.0/24, 192.168.131.0/24, 192.168.141.0/24 and any future VLANs) can communicate with/access resouces at the local site. Likewise, an asset at the local site with an IP in any of the ranges (.121, .131, .141 + any future VLANs) should be able to reach the remote resources (currently just 192.168.181.0/24, but future VLANs as well).
This evening I tried to focus on the relevant VPN pages of the Administration Guide to get the VPN up. Leaving the defaults I got as far as establishing a link between both sites and it seems that things are working right: From the remote site (.181) I can access the local site (.121, .131, .141); and from the local site I can at least ping resources (a laptop) on the remote site. (Yay!)
However, when I physically connected an asset that had a 192.168.121.X, 192.168.131.X and 192.168.141.X IP addresses to the remote RV220W (which is 192.168.181.0/24), I couldn't see it from the remote or local sites.I assume this is expected. But I'm reaching out to the community to see what other possibilities might be available becuase networking is a weak area for me. I figured it might be something like a Static [or Dynamic] Route but I really am not 100% sure.
'TECHNICAL' SPECS
Local Router LAN/WAN Settings:
LAN IP: 192.168.121.1 on default VLAN (1)
VLAN 13 defined 192.168.131.1 with DHCP enabled; Reservations created outside of DHCP scope
VLAN 14 defined 192.168.141.1 with DHCP enabled, Reservations created outside of DHCP scope
Inter VLAN Routing enabled for all VLANs

We have 2 sites, each with 2 x 4506 switches which will be connected togther using an etherchannel. The switches will provide access ports for client devices and will be configured with HSRP to provide gateway redundancy. SW1 will be HSRP active.2 metro ethernet links will be installed in each site which will connect back to our HQ sites. OSPF will be used over the backbone to provide resiliency and to allow shortest path routing to each HQ and to prevent traffic over the HQ to HQ link.
The 4506 will be trunked togther with an SVI for providing OSFP adjacency. For the traffic flow from SW2 to HQ2, traffic will hit SW1 and then route back to SW2 and then to HQ2. Is this the best way to do this? Should a second link be connected between switches just for routing or should something like GLBP be used?

I am attempting to filter a specific host(s) from my OSPF routiing table on a ASA 5550 (ABR) using LSA prefix lists. However, when I look at the other routers in that area, I notice that ALL LSA type-3's are being removed (10 hosts are now missing from the routing table). I have verified the filter is working on the ABR, but I can't figure why ALL hosts/routes that were coming into the area are now being filtered instead of the specific one that I want to filter out.
Here is the config on the ABR:
prefix-list pdm_pl_000 seq 10 permit 206.253.180.137/32
!
!
router ospf 1
network 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 area 0
network 10.150.10.0 255.255.255.0 area 10
network 10.150.252.0 255.255.255.224 area 10
[code]....
The 206.253.180.137 host is actually coming from Area '3'. Am I doing something that is removing all type-3 LSA's?

I have a collapsed core design with routed ports between all components. Access layer switches, data center switches, core/aggregation. All routed (no spanning-tree at all).Now...I have to add an IBM BladeCenter with a BNT layer 3 switch to my topology. However, those nasties don't seem to support routed ports. How can I have a routed port on my cisco switch and a standard access port on the BNT and still establish an adjacency with an SVI? I am running OSPF, but I am labbing this in my home lab with 2 x 3550s and EIGRP.

I'm trying to make a redundantish office/datacentre connection on the cheap. At the datacentre, we've got a 7301 (12.2(24)T5) and at the office we've got a Mikrotik RB1200 (5.12).The office router has two ADSL connections to two different ISPs, the datacentre router a single GigE to a colo provider. I'm trying to build an IPSec encrypted IPIP tunnel over each ADSL service to a separate loopback interface on the datacentre router, so I can run OSPF over the top for route exchange. I need to use two different loopbacks on the datacentre router so the office router can have a static route for each out each ISP ADSL. But I'm running into issues making encryption work on two different source addresses.Using the 'crypto map xxx local-address Loopback12' command, I can specify the outbound interface for one of the tunnels just fine, traffic moves as expected - while the other tunnel fails to encrypt. But is there a way of having two peers use two different local addresses, or applying two crypto maps to a single physical interface?

I use the Switch 2960S support PoE and 10 access points cisco.I have one more question:
-- If all 10 access points cisco use copper cable to connect to 2960S, 5 access points use power adapter and 5 access points use power from Switch. How Switch 2960S will provide power for 10 AP or switch 2960S will understand and only provide power for 5 APs?

The bootloader used by the device is U-Boot, which is also licensed under the terms of the GPL. Sadly these parts are missing from the source code package provided by D-Link. Therefore I am asking you to add the U-Boot sources to the provided archive or post them here in the forum.

I am having an issue where I can't get to external network sources via my sub interface which is attached to a 192.168.10.X VLAN I created to for Guest wireless traffic. The internal interface is a 10.5.X.X network. I can get out the external interface, but anything that we have A records for such as our mobile iron server that we can hit from the outside via https and an external IP can't be hit from the subinterface at all. Would this be a DNS rewrite issue or inspection problem?

Looking at the following output (show interface status) from one of our 4507s I see gig interfaces 3/2 to 3/6 are all trunked (dot1q). When I look at a show run they do not show as trunked. They should indicate switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q and switchport mode trunk (as does interface gig4/2). I have seven other 4507s all running the same IOS: 12.2(25)EWA8 and they all show the same information in show run and show interface status (as far as trunked goes). This is not a problem as I know the interfaces are trunked and working properly I am just puzzled as to why I see this difference.
Here is the sho int gig3/2 trunk. It looks like you are correct. I did not realize some were set to trunk mode on and others were not. I would think the running config would still show the port using dot1q but I guess not.
