The bootloader used by the device is U-Boot, which is also licensed under the terms of the GPL. Sadly these parts are missing from the source code package provided by D-Link. Therefore I am asking you to add the U-Boot sources to the provided archive or post them here in the forum.

I have a standard home network consisting of internet access provided by my cable company which is then disseminated to a variety of wired and wireless devices via a router.
I would like to create a second wireless network that is separate from my current one. This new wireless network would have extra access controls including access restrictions to some web sites using both IP address restrictions and using the OpenDNS DNS servers.
The picture below illustrates the current configuration. The question is: how can I connect ROUTER B to the internet using my current equipment (without buying another IP address from the cable company)?

So, in the above picture, COMP 4 is connected via wireless to this second network and cannot access anything on the first network and uses different different DNS servers.
In case it matters, ROUTER A is a Linksys WRT54GL while ROUTER B is a D-Link DI-624.

I made some changes on my wireless modem router to stop dhcp and dns provided by my device. A server is now doing it, but at the same time I appear to have connection issues where I didn't before. In an attempt to resolve the issues I looked at the System Log and a number of things were coming up that concerned me. These are as follows:
-user: tr69c: Unable to retrieve attributes in scratch PAD
-user: Stored Parameter Attribute data is corrupt or missing
Additionally I'm getting a lot of kernel: Intrusion alerts which I can't determine how serious they are. Where to start tracking down these issues (if they even warrant investigation).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently moved into a new apartment complex where Internet is included with the rent, meaning that I do not have a personal Internet connection. Instead, the apartment company has a general connection along with a router on each floor of the complex. They then wire out from that connection to an ethernet port in each apartment. Because of that, calling the Internet company doesn't work because they can only tell me that the router on my floor is getting an Internet connection (and unfortunately my apartment is too far away from that router to have signal strength to use it for wireless). Most tenants plug their personal routers into the ethernet ports and use them for wireless connection within their apartments.
When I try to plug my router in, I cannot connect. I get an error message saying that there is no Internet connection. When I plug my Mac directly into the ethernet port, I still get no Internet connection. I've even tried plugging my netbook (PC) in, and get nothing. I have tried network diagnostics, I have used multiple ethernet cables, nothing. The previous tenant apparently plugged her router into the same ethernet jack I am using and had no problems. She has been gone for a few months, and now I cannot connect.
I'm trying to make a redundantish office/datacentre connection on the cheap. At the datacentre, we've got a 7301 (12.2(24)T5) and at the office we've got a Mikrotik RB1200 (5.12).The office router has two ADSL connections to two different ISPs, the datacentre router a single GigE to a colo provider. I'm trying to build an IPSec encrypted IPIP tunnel over each ADSL service to a separate loopback interface on the datacentre router, so I can run OSPF over the top for route exchange. I need to use two different loopbacks on the datacentre router so the office router can have a static route for each out each ISP ADSL. But I'm running into issues making encryption work on two different source addresses.Using the 'crypto map xxx local-address Loopback12' command, I can specify the outbound interface for one of the tunnels just fine, traffic moves as expected - while the other tunnel fails to encrypt. But is there a way of having two peers use two different local addresses, or applying two crypto maps to a single physical interface?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue where I can't get to external network sources via my sub interface which is attached to a 192.168.10.X VLAN I created to for Guest wireless traffic. The internal interface is a 10.5.X.X network. I can get out the external interface, but anything that we have A records for such as our mobile iron server that we can hit from the outside via https and an external IP can't be hit from the subinterface at all. Would this be a DNS rewrite issue or inspection problem?

This center can be used by each office/company to either house their own networking solutions or utilize their internet access if you plan only to use cloud servers or NAS servers. Our company (4 employees) is using this network center only for internet access with all of our data stored and accessed in our cloud service.We would like to access the internet wirelessly, which building does not provide. We were given one port and shared the link through the use of a switch. So my questions is would an access point add wireless connectivity without any information (ISP?) provided by the network center? I am not sure yet if we will be purchasing a router/AP or device made for to be used as an AP.

Failed to fetch the configuration. Check the dcmaservice.log for details. TELNET: Failed to establish TELNET connection to x.x.x.x - Cause: connect timed out.
The issue is that i have configured all devices to be accessed through SSH first and then through telnet. I have tested SSH access from LMS with putty.
We have LMS 3.2 software. But the RME module can't running because notification error.

Which seems to mean that SSH does not work, which is false as I manually connects to the device from the LMS host successfully. Network devices access is authenticated against ACS servers using TACACS+ so there should be no problem with credential discrepency here.
I tried to update Sync-archive for the device but it fails.

Running 'Configuration > Configuration Archive > Synchronization' against a Catalyst 3750 switch called switch1 successfully retrieved the Running, Startup, and VLAN configs.Running the same command the following day on switch1 failed and returned this in the job execution result:Unable to get results of job execution for device. Retry the job after increasing the job result wait time using the option:Admin > Collection Settings > Config > Config Job Timeout Settings I modified the job result wait time setting to be 600 seconds, tried again and received the same timeout failure. I have also seen this same Failed message on other devices, but have never actually received the configs for them, so I feel switch1 is a better place to start.What are the first things I should check in CiscoWorks for a problem like this? Is there a particular software revision I should be on with LMS 4.0? What timeout value should be used for Archive Synchronization?

In our organisation we have multiple Nexus 5000 switches, which Cisco LMS 4.2.2 cannot get the running-config and startup-config from with the Archive Management process. When it does try to get them, I get a error as follows:

Iam using LMS 3.2. In short, there is 2 type of router, 2800series and 2900series. These device already join to TACACS server. When I try to sync archive I got:
- failed on 2900series
- successful on 2800series
I have doing same config (credential, snmp, protocol for sync archive), for those device on ciscoworks but why I find the error??
I have a number of devices such as Cisco Call Manager, or Cisco Wireless Controllers, etc that I want to remain in DCR but would like to exclude from the Config Archive process. Is there any way of excluding an individual device from this process?
