View 1 RepliesI have cisco 1841 router and two types of ISP line (Different provider):
1. Lease line = 2 mbps ( it is terminated over cisco 1841 router); For internet-access purpose
2. DSL = 1 mbps; For internet-access purpose
Our cisco 1841 router have only two fastethernet port, first for WAN Port where 2 mbps lease line terminated , second for LAN which is connected to Cisco switch and 1 mbps adsl line running seperatly which is not part of cisco 1841 router. i am planning to buy HWIC card for extra wan port on existing router where i will terminate 1 mbps adsl line or may be other provider lease line.I want to merge or aggregate both WAN link, My concern is to merge both line (2+1) and get single one (Just like as Etherchannel thing) , get 3mbps for LAN for internet access.
I'm trying to make a redundantish office/datacentre connection on the cheap. At the datacentre, we've got a 7301 (12.2(24)T5) and at the office we've got a Mikrotik RB1200 (5.12).The office router has two ADSL connections to two different ISPs, the datacentre router a single GigE to a colo provider. I'm trying to build an IPSec encrypted IPIP tunnel over each ADSL service to a separate loopback interface on the datacentre router, so I can run OSPF over the top for route exchange. I need to use two different loopbacks on the datacentre router so the office router can have a static route for each out each ISP ADSL. But I'm running into issues making encryption work on two different source addresses.Using the 'crypto map xxx local-address Loopback12' command, I can specify the outbound interface for one of the tunnels just fine, traffic moves as expected - while the other tunnel fails to encrypt. But is there a way of having two peers use two different local addresses, or applying two crypto maps to a single physical interface?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe bootloader used by the device is U-Boot, which is also licensed under the terms of the GPL. Sadly these parts are missing from the source code package provided by D-Link. Therefore I am asking you to add the U-Boot sources to the provided archive or post them here in the forum.

The internal interface is a 10.5.X.X network. I can get out the external interface, but anything that we have A records for such as our mobile iron server that we can hit from the outside via https and an external IP can't be hit from the subinterface at all. Would this be a DNS rewrite issue or inspection problem?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an ACS 5.3 cluster, that is configured to use AD. There are a few wireless devices, and monitoring tools that do not have AD accounts. I would like to configure ACS to first check AD for the user authentication, and if that fails to roll over to the local (Internal Users) identity source where I can define these user accounts.
It seems that when the authentication hits the initial Identity Policy rule, it never moves onto the next one if the first fails.
Attached are screen shots that show how i'm configured for the test, i have a local user defined and I'm trying to log into the firewalls.
- Identity Definition : Screen shot of the main ACS definition for the rule i'm testing that's not working
- Identity Rule 1 : The configuration of rule 1 that if it fails i need it to move onto rule 2.
- Log Output : Screen shot for one of the failed attempts from the ACS View Log server.
Reason I need to configure it this way is:
- Wireless users authenticate to wireless using AD user accounts. Some hand held scanners do not support that and will need to authenticate using the MAC address.
- Authentication to Network devices for managment uses AD accounts. We have some monitoring tools that do not have AD accounts, and will need to be able to log into Network devices to issue some commands (Examples: Cisco Prime LMS and NCS, Infoblox NetMRI).
We have 1 mpbs bandwidth line, but most of the time we are getting only 300-500 kpbs download speed, i want to send statistics report to our ISP, what will be best procedure to test the bandwidth report, i have checked in some websites like bandwidthplace and speedtest but these sites are not accurate, how to check the actual bandwidth we getting from ISP against 1 Mbps. We have solarwinds monitoring tool in this i have configured the WAN interface for 1 mbps

I was wondering if there are any wireless routers I can buy that I can set a bandwidth limit for the specific router. Due to teenage girls in the house we hit the weekly limit in a day or two because of all the music videos and such that they watch on you tube, it is annoying getting limited to the 256kbps download rate so often.

I have a bundle of 2 T1 into a multilink interface. However, I have encounter an issue, last week, our ISP lost one of the T1 and it went down hard for at leats two hours. Once the T1 came up, the bandwidth still was 1544, but once I shutdown and no shutdown command in one of the serial interface the bandwidth came up as 3074. Here is my basic config for the 2911 router. [code]
I just don't know why the router was not using the whole bandwidth of 3044.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a 100M fiber line to go with a brand new D-Link DIR-655 router. Before plugging in the router, I tested on my laptop directly from the modem and had great result speeds of 98M/97M. I connected the router, then plugged my laptop to find I was only getting speeds of about 10M/6M. This was true for both wired and wireless connections.
I took a look at the router settings. I turned off QoS, but that didn't work. One thing I did see was the WAN was set to auto. I attempted to change that to 100mbps or to 1000mpbs. However, when I did that my modem light that shows a 100M connection is active turned off and I couldn't get internet. I was only able to get a connection if I left that on auto. Is there a setting somewhere that is limiting my bandwidth from the router?I reset the router twice and checked to find I had the latest firmware. Is there something that I am missing? I have always been a Linksys fan, but wanted to see how D-Link is.
I am trying to use GNS to simulate this, but a bit difficult to achieve this. May I know can the Cisco Router handle below requirement? Example Cisco 2811
1) Bandwidth management based on IP Address or Subnet? For example; allocate 1Mbps (CIR) and 10Mbps (BIR) to 172.16.1.10
2) Can the Cisco Router control the inbound and outbound bandwidth?
3) Can you share the sample config?
I have just received Time Warner Cable and get 16Mbps down from them directly through their modem (motorola DOCSIS 2.0 modem- SB5101) to my PC (using speedtest.net). When I then connect TWC's modem through my 2801 router on fa0/0, the download rate I get is considerably slower (on the order of 3-4Mbps via same testing method). What am I missing?
Here is how the passthrough interface is setup:
interface FastEthernet0/0
bandwidth receive inherit
ip address dhcp
ip nat outside
ip virtual-reassembly in
duplex auto
speed auto
I have attempted removing bandwidth command - nothing changed with it not there. I have also hard coded the speed and duplex to 100/full to no avail....
Other possible relevant configs:
ip nat inside source list 1 interface FastEthernet0/0 overload
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dhcp
access-list 1 permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
Basically this things is wide open... for testing but the download speed differential is perplexing to me.
I have a dell poweredge 830 (3.0 dual core pentium, 2gb ram, 2x160gb hdd in raid 1, dual port intel gigabit card). I'm trying to find a router OS that logs bandwidth by ips on the lan. I tried untangle and clearos neither of which have a feature (or one that I can find) that logs the bandwidth by ip. Apparently pfsense has a package you can install but I have never been able to get pfsense to work on this pc, it always errors in one way or another (on the 2.0rc3 I can't access the web page, it says it is missing a file).

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my ISP (Telus) recently replaced our old router with a ZyXEL VSG1432. I'm currently having a huge lag issue when my roommates laptop is connected to our network. He is connected via wireless, I'm wired. So I did some searching around and I think i can solve this by limiting his bandwidth with QoS settings. I'm getting conflicting information here though. After logging into the router there are no QoS options yet according to ZyXEL's website url...This router should have the settings available. Is it possible that Telus does something to remove this feature? Is there some not so obvious way to enable QoS? Is there some other way to limit the bandwidth?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently use Verizon FiOS 20/5. The speed has been great until the day my cousin and his parents moved in. They also use our FiOS connection and I have came to the conclusion that my cousin's laptop is eating away all of the bandwidth which makes all devices using FiOS have extremely slow internet speeds. I know it is his computer because I logged in as admin to the Verizon FiOS page (192.168.1.1) and I saw that he is using several P2P applications and downloading torrents as well. Is there a way I can limit the bandwidth he is using so that the internet speed can improve? I looked at the QoS tab and tried to play around with the settings, but I don't want to mess it up. The router I have is Actiontec M1424-WR (Verizon FiOS 20 Down/5 Up). A lot of sources I am reading says that I have to use the QoS, but I don't know how to use it on the site.

I will have this one router. Its f0/0 will be for the Internet connection with bandwidth of 30Mbps. Its f0/1 will be connected to a switch for internal networks. This link will be separated to 3 VLANs for 3 internal networks. I'm wondering if there is a way to gurantee 10Mbps for each VLAN but allow use up to 30Mbps when another two VLANs are not using any Internet bandwidth? I only worry about download bandwidth from internet. The 3 internal networks will all have public IPs and they belong to their own subnets. There won't be NAT/PAT.
