I've tried to upgrade firmware through chrome, but chrome abruptly shut down during upgrade.Since that, I have not even loggin set-up menu which should be shown up putting 192.168.0.1 to make it back. Amber light is just blinking on Power lamp.

I had it all working fine, then I wanted to upgrade the firmware. The original firmware was 3-14-4. I downloaded and applied the 3-15-4 firmware. Now when it powers on the power light is on all the time. Immediately the sys, 4, 3, 2, 1, Internet, usb and wps lights flash once. Then about 5 seconds later the 4, 3, 2, 1 & Internet lights flash once, then a second later the cycle starts again. When I connect it to the PC it starts to make a connection on the NIC, but then the router resets. Model: TL-WR1042ND, Ver 1.3 . Is there a way to reset the firmware or get it working again?
A new Cisco 3750V2 (WS-C3750V2-48PS-S) running IOS 'c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin' waspurchased to add to a stack of 3 Cisco 3750 (WS- C3750- 48PS-S) switches. The IOS on the stacked switches is 'c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin'.I loaded this IOS on to the new Cisco 3750V2 and deleted its original IOS. Boot up failed with error 'hardware not supported by firmware'. I am now trying to follow the recovery procedure but the I can only initialise the flash (flash_init) and there is no 'boot_helper' command to load the boot helper files. There is no option to rum 'copy xmodem' so I cannot upload the original IOS image via xmodem on hyperterminal.

It still allows incoming vpn connections. The login screen displays and will display an error message if I use incorrect credentials, but if I log in properly and am directed to the routers web config homepage at "192.168.1.1/default.htm", I get a 404 error message. Telnet does not work either (not sure if it's on, never used it before) 404 Not FoundThe requested server-side-includes filename, /usr/local/EasyAccess/www/htdocs/default.htm, does not seem to exist.As if the web pages after the login screen got removed or corrupted after the update.

After performing a firmware upgrade on an SG300-20 switch from ver 1.1.0.73 to 1.2.5.70 the switch now boots up with the following error and resets:

The attached file contains a full output of the console boot process. I have tried loading different versions from the console, but all produce the same error.
I have tried to upgrade the firmware to the latest greatest but keep getting the "Incorrect image file" error. I bought two of the V1 units and had no trouble with one of them but the other is frustrating me. I have reset it and even tried a tftp upgrade of the firmware but still get "Incorrect image file" even in tftp.

My version was v2.02.7, downloded file FW_WRT54Gv4_4.21.5.000_20120220.bin . After I run the upgrade it said upgrade failed. After that I can't connect to internet and can't access the router. I tried to reset it and unplug it- no luck. From my PC control panel I see local area connections status connected, but as I said, it does not connect to Internet.

Unfortunately, it did not specifically say to not do it WIRELESS. We had a disconnection in the upgrade process. Now the Power light just blinks. I can ping it from a hard-wired PC, but cannot get to the Administration Web page to retry the firmware update (I did download it from the site). Also Cisco Connect cannot connect to the router.
Oh Yes, I have tried holding reset button for 30 seconds, unplugging for 30 seconds, and replugging in the router. I do not get any different results.

Problem is the same as recent posts by jerguy1928, with message "DNS lookup failed...." coming up in Google Chrome. Both IE and FF just say cannot connect.Running Windows 7 on laptop. I have tried alt DNS settings (Google and others), all the CMD suggestions, disabling firewalls etc, etc! Other computer in house connects just fine.Ping works fine. Really, there appears to be no reason to not be able to connect - since I am actually connected!

I tried the hard reset, several times, holding it in for 10 seconds after 3 seconds did not work. I held it in for 3 seconds, waited 1 minute, and just got a flashing red light. I did the same thing after holding reset in for 10 seconds. I have unplugged and replugged in the network cable on both ends several times and turned the power off and on on the router and camera several times. The camera only blinks with a red flashing light. Is it a brick now? Is there any other magic tricks to try?

I have a Dir-655 A3 with the firmware 1.32NA. I cannot get the new firmware 1.35NA to take. The router seems to go through the motions of the upgrade, but at the end, when I log back on, the firmware still says 1.32NA & all custom settings remain.I have upgraded the firmware on this router before and I know that when its upgraded, the router is basically reset to factory settings. All the settings have been backed up and I am attempting this upgrade via a wired connection.

Because of this I never upgraded and was told to be satisfied that I can still stay with 1.21 as upgrades caused problems for a number of people.Everything still seems fine with 1.21 except the Shareport utility often does not pickup the printer connection upon booting to Windows Vista. I can always work around this by Disable and then Enable. It will then always find the printer. It is a minor annoyance however.Should I still stay with 1.21 or is upgrading to 1.35 NA recommended ? If I upgrade to 1.35 NA is there a downgrade path back to 1.21 if the upgrade does not work well ?

I have a DIR-615 Ver. C1 f/w3.00. We have been having trouble with the the signal becoming weak or non-existent, so I decided to see if a firmware upgrade would solve the problem. I have attempted to upgrade to DIR615C1C2_FW301B11.bin and to DIR615C1_FW313NAB09.bin with the same result for both of them - with several attempts for each.
The message I get is: "The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.

I have disconnected all other devices to reduce traffic, I have attempted the upload multiple times for 3.01 and 3.13NA, I am logged in as the admin, and I believe the files are proper for this hardware version.
Is there something I am missing that prevents me from performing a firmware upgrade?
I have 7604 router with FWSM module in module 3.First of all the FWSM CF has been damaged, not physically. I bought the new same compact flash (size, partnumber, etc.). Downloaded the software 3.2 for FWSM, and ASDM from Cisco website. I realized that the procedure of creating new CF for FWSM is quite diffucult: creating 1-5 partitions, where 1 - is MP, and 4th - application partition. According to cisco documentation - the default boot partition is the 4th, so I partitioned from 7604 the CF into 4 partitions (partition disk1: <1-4> maximum) and copied the software and ASDM to the 4th partition (disk1:3:). Removed the CF from the router and put it into the FWSM module.

Would have been nice to know that before I did it. Since the upgrade from 1.02 1030 I get this note:The throughput of the SD Card on your camera is not currently enough for recording. So the system is in emergency firmware upgrade mode. I set my IP to 192.168.0.2 and connect to the web interface at 192.168.0.1. I see a page with "Firmware Upgrade System" and "Version 1.0.0.2". So far so good. I can now select the firmware and click "send". But then nothing really happens. I can wait for a couple of minutes and then run into a timeout. I tried different browsers (Linux: Firefox, Chrome, etc). I even tried it Windows 7 with IE 8 and I get the same result. It seems that the cgi (192.168.0.1./cgi/index) is not really doing anything?
