with TFTP upgrade SRW2xxG4_FW_1.2.3.0.ros and WEB interface after the restart, the switch will not start, display HyperTerminal link. You can also restore the switches do not?
I get the message "Firmware upgrade has failed. Please ensure that valid entries were specified in the required fields." when I try upgrade the firmware rootfs.bin.
I've tried to upgrade firmware through chrome, but chrome abruptly shut down during upgrade.Since that, I have not even loggin set-up menu which should be shown up putting 192.168.0.1 to make it back. Amber light is just blinking on Power lamp.
first one had to get rid of because just wouldn't work with a 3CX server, anyway, I have a DIR-655 A4 factory shipped with 1.32NA I am trying to update the firmware to 1.34NA but it will not let me. It keeps saying Code:
I'm attempting to upgrade to firmware 5.00.38 for my WRT54G-TM router, but it keeps telling me "upgrade failed" after like 3-4 seconds of trying. It says I currently have firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/13/09) mega - build 12288. I've tried restetting to factory defaults before upgrading

I had it all working fine, then I wanted to upgrade the firmware. The original firmware was 3-14-4. I downloaded and applied the 3-15-4 firmware. Now when it powers on the power light is on all the time. Immediately the sys, 4, 3, 2, 1, Internet, usb and wps lights flash once. Then about 5 seconds later the 4, 3, 2, 1 & Internet lights flash once, then a second later the cycle starts again. When I connect it to the PC it starts to make a connection on the NIC, but then the router resets. Model: TL-WR1042ND, Ver 1.3 . Is there a way to reset the firmware or get it working again?
I tried to upgrade firmware (I entered my model number WRT54G and hardware version 2 into Cisco menu and downloded the upgrade file they provided. My version was v2.02.7, downloded file FW_WRT54Gv4_4.21.5.000_20120220.bin . After I run the upgrade it said upgrade failed. After that I can't connect to internet and can't access the router. I tried to reset it and unplug it- no luck. From my PC control panel I see local area connections status connected, but as I said, it does not connect to Internet.
I just bought a Cisco E4200 (from someone on Ebay, so returning is probably not an option). I was in the process of setting it up when it wanted to do a Router Update. Unfortunately, it did not specifically say to not do it WIRELESS. We had a disconnection in the upgrade process. Now the Power light just blinks. I can ping it from a hard-wired PC, but cannot get to the Administration Web page to retry the firmware update (I did download it from the site). Also Cisco Connect cannot connect to the router.
Oh Yes, I have tried holding reset button for 30 seconds, unplugging for 30 seconds, and replugging in the router. I do not get any different results.
I have a RV220W running 1.0.1.0. When trying to upgrade to 1.0.4.17 I receive an error: "Upgrade failed due to invalid/corrupted firmware".
I found this article: [URL]
I assume I have to do a factory reset then an upgrade in order to upgrade properly.
If I do a backup running 1.0.1.0, then upgrade to 1.0.4.17, then do a restore, would that put me back to 1.0.1.0? I'm trying to avoid configuring the router manually all over again.
Have an SRW2024 that I was updating firmware and it got interrupted. Now I can't access the switch from either console or IP. Switch will not pass traffic. Is there a way to get this switch completely reset so I reconfigure and use it again?
We are using Linksys SRW248G4 in our network as Layer 2 Device. We have configured QoS policy for Voice and Video Priority over Data. On Layer 3 we are using CISCO SGE 2000, on that we have also configured QoS Policy and that is working, if we are connecting two IP Phones on L3 Switch but when we are connecting IP Phones on L2 Linksys we are not getting Voice and Video quality over Data.P2P link is of 10MB.I am Putting Whole configuration of that switch in TEXT FILE. [code]
I have been fighting against this Lynksys cisco switch to be able to restore admin password, no success. Theorically, is just unplug and plug switch, press ESC and press option 3) Password Recovery Procedure. Then Enter and Enter and switch will boot normaly with admin/blank password, well, not work,.

I can't figure out how to configure a port membership with multiple VLANs. My setup:
- VLAN10 - VLAN20 - port settings tab: port24 in general mode - ports to VLANs tab: untagged everywhere, when I set port 24 membership to VLAN10 I can't set port 24 membership in VLAN20 because when I do that port 24 membership in VLAN10 dissapears and vice versa - but I can set port 24 membership to both VLANs in VLANs to port tab, but I think it doesn't work because: - when I connect hosts to ports 23 (port 23 is a member of VLAN10 only) and 24 (member of VLAN10 and VLAN20) there are not any connectivity between them - but connectivity is working when I set the same PVID for both ports 23 and 24 in port setting tab, I can't set multiple PVID in here.
So, is it possible to configure port membership for multiple VLANs on this linksys. [URL]
I want to configure my SRW248G4 switch thru console port. Unfortunately in this switch there is no RJ45 console port input, I can only see cosole port that is look like RS232 input. I bought two standard cisco console cables that have one end with db9 and one with RJ45.
Now I have and idea to put one end of one cable (db9) to switch, and one end (db9) of second cable in my computer (COM input/output)
I need to connect two RJ45 together - this is not a problem, I know how to do this. Here is the question :I know how pinout in my computer look like but i can't find pinout of console port in my SRW248G4. There is many pictures in Internet, for many Cisco devices but this isn't working. Maybe in LINKSYS pinout look different ?
We have Sg-300-28 serious switches(SRW-2024 k9-EU) and i want to upgrade switch with latest firmware, any info for latest firmware is used for the same ?
I have just attempted to load the latest firmware on an SLM2008, everything appeared to work as expected BUT, the switch is no longer pingable on its static IP doesn't appear to have attempted get an address via DHCP. I have attempted power cycling the switch but it has made no difference. The switch is still switching but I have no management any more. What to do next ?
I've been having a problem with a brand new SG300-10 switch that I posted about yesterday. I checked the firmware and it was at 1.0.0.27 and the lastest is 1.1.0.73. So I backed up the current firmware and loaded the 1.1.0.73 version and it seem to be CLI based only, with no web GUI.
If so is there an easy way to reload the 1.0.0.27 using the CLI? There is nothing in the CLI docs that I can see unless it's buried.
The release notes for 1.1.0.73 don't say it's CLI only either, maybe something just went wrong but the CLI seems to be functional.
I am facing a failed issue when restoring the WCS Database. Below is the error i get, does any one out there facing it before?

After performing a firmware upgrade on an SG300-20 switch from ver 1.1.0.73 to 1.2.5.70 the switch now boots up with the following error and resets:
30-Aug-2011 10:47:33 %L1Mngr-F-PARAMTOOLONG: csco-sb parameter %s is too long.
The attached file contains a full output of the console boot process. I have tried loading different versions from the console, but all produce the same error.
Using the SGE 2010 for Microsoft NAP with 802.1x auth for switch access, which led to a few issues
What i have: An SGE 2010 48 port switch, firmware 3.0.0.17 Firmware upgrade: In order to ensure im not having problems due to old firmware, i tried to upgrade using ros_ls1_bp_ge_bx-3020.ros in order to move to 3.0.2, when uploading the file via TFTP, the upload completes and thats it, nothing happens.Restarting the device: As part of the upgrade process, i thought i might of had to reboot, so i rebooted, and found that all my settings were wiped clean, as if a factory reset had been performed.... and add further to pain, the backup of settings that i had taken do not seem to want to re-apply.NAP support: So i have tested my NPS (radius) server with NTRadping.exe and all is good, however i cannot get the SGE2010 to talk to it.... the authenticator state in the web interface is always listed as initialising.... im not sure if this is a simple incompatibility (hence the attempt at a firmware upgrade), a tag that needs to be set on the radius side or a switch misconfig.
1) how on earth do you upgrade the firmware?
2) why are none of my settings being saved when the device reboots ?
After unable to connect to my wireless network, I did a restore - but got a message: System restore failed to replace the file (C:WindowsServiceProfilesLocalServiceAppDataRoamingPeerNetworking98c An unspecified error occurred during System Restore (0x80070002)I've tried 3 restores to get the same message.Am at a loss to get the computer back on line.Running win7 (32Bit) with Norton 360.
Yesterday, I flashed DD-WRT, latest beta version, to my router, an Asus RT-N13U B1. After flashing DD-WRT, I couldn't get the 3G USB modem to work with it, and thus, I decided to flash back the original firmware onto it. I needed to put it into restore mode, but it was just not going into the restore mode. Then I read somewhere that after installing DD-WRT, other people had the same problem. [URL] So I connected to my router via telnet, using PuTTY, and ran the "mtd erase linux" command without the quotes. Even now, it isn't going into restore mode.
I have an E4200 router with 3 WET610N access points. I did the firmware update on the E4200 router about 2 weeks ago so my son could use his xbox when he got home after 4 months of being away. Everything seemed to work OK as far as I could tell....but when he went to sign into xbox live and watch Netflix, it will load to 98% and stop. A friend of his came over with the new Slim xbox 360 with built in wireless and it will connect fine on its own, if we hook up one of the 610N's to it, it will load to 98% on Netflix and stop again with error code R8152. Both of my older xbox's will hook up and play on xbox live, just not work with Netflix.
I also noticed, it shows the WET610N as a hard wire on xbox and will not search for any wireless networks, I have 2. The newer Slim xbox360 will search out both networks on its own if you allow it to use its internal wireless. This only happened since the firmware update. And this equipment was working fine before this. Is there a way I can restore the previous version of firmware?
I purchased a WRT160N router last Friday. After setting it up, everything seemed to work fine, but after a couple of hours, the router stopped responding to any requests. The LEDs stayed on as if nothing had happened, but the router was dropping everything coming from both the WAN and a wired LAN interface. Since than, I had to restart it 3 times during the last 3 days. The firmware is 1.53.0, which seems to be the latest firmware for the European market - even when I try to get a newer firmware, this site only offers the US version 1.02.2.Should I update the firmware to the US version 1.02.2 ? Is there any difference between the 1.53.0 and the 1.02.2 version ? Is there a way to restore the original firmware in case the update fails ? I haven't found any link to 1.53.0 version..Also, does this firmware updating affect my warranty ?
