Cleared Cookies / Changed DNS But Cannot Connect To Facebook

Ok, it all started yesterday when I was stupid enough to open a link a friend sent me. It was of course a virus. I ran a couple of anti-virus/anti-malwere programs and I think I got everything cleared. However I am not able to connect to facebook - it says that it cannot connect securely to the server or that the link is broken, or that the "server refused the connection". I have no problems with any other site. I have Windows 7 and I usually use Google Chrome but I've also tried FireFox and IE - nothing works. I've been having an issue when trying to connect to Facebook since last week. Whenever I try to get in the webpage I get a time out error message, on any browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE). I can reach every other website completely normal, and I can even connect to alternate forms of Facebook like m.facebook.com or beta.facebook.com, and the local site (I speak spanish) es-es.facebook.com allows me to see the login screen, but when accessing to anything else, it redirects me to the url...version, thus resulting in a time out. This problem started suddenly, after using this notebook with no trouble for more than a year .I should mention that this happens only in this machine, as there are others connected to the same network, and that I've tested this one in more than one network, from different ISP, by wi-fi and Ethernet cable, everything giving me same results.
- Tried different browsers.
- Two different networks and ISP, both by cable and wi-fi.
- ping'ed and tracert'ed facebook.com.
- Updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, practically anihilated and resucitated both wired and wireless NIC drivers.
- Made a complete system restoration to a week before this started.
- Changed MAC Address from both wired and wireless NICs.
- Completely turned off every firewall.
- Tried Google Public DNS for both IPv4 and iPv6.
- Ran antivirus.

I can't get into my e-mail which is yahoo never had any trouble before, changed browser to IE and it tells me that my browser rejects cookies. I have cleared of every place that i know to delete cookies w/no avail. Am also having the same deal w/me browser kicking me offline after start and rebooting.

This is now an issue with new firmware. I cannot even log into blockbuster.com. I have noticed cookie issues since 2.0.04 firmware installed.

I noticed when I went to 192.168.0.1 to check my wireless router settings, the all settings were cleared out.I tried entering settings such as SSID and security stuff. The settings show on the screen temporarily but do not save.When I try to save the settings I get the message nothing is changed save anyway? If I press save I get a window that says the setting is saved wait seconds. When I hit continue, and check my settings nothing was saved.

My internet here is fine except for when it comes to facebook. I've tried this laptop which has 7 on, a pc with xp and my iphone all to no avail. The laptop works with it fine on other networks as does the phone. The rest of the internet is accessible without issue. It does work rarely but it seems to be random.

i have a shared windows xp computer. i wasn't around one day and the next day i tried to log on to Facebook through chrome as usual and got the webpage unavailable message. I've tried IE and Firefox on this computer and none of them will get me to Facebook. I've tried to ping Facebook and the request timed out. I've tried turning off my firewall and I've tried turning off Norton. other computers on this same network can connect to Facebook just fine. i'm baffled.

I can't connect to facebook on any browser on this laptop. I can access it from my iphone and from my friends' laptops, but this one isn't letting me get to the page at all. It just turns up with "this webpage is not available" (same with firefox and ie) when i try to go to facebook. I tried running Malwarebytes and Mcafee, but neither of those found any problems. I can't connect to accounts associated with my facebook account either, like Wanelo or Elfster, and I can't connect to downloaded programs that I logged into with my facebook account such as Oovoo and facebook chat. The only thing I can connect to on this laptop is m.facebook.com, the mobile site.

My mum is running Windows 7 Home Premium on her laptop, with AVG Free Anti-Virus. She uses Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Cookies are enabled on all browsers.I'm running Ubuntu "Lucid Lynx" 10.04. I use Chromium and Firefox, occasionally Opera. Cookies are enabled on all browsers.I also have an iPad, which is running the latest software. Never had a problem with cookies before.My brothers use Facebook through Xbox. They can't log in either.My router settings are set to allow cookies, and according to my ISP, my internet is up and doing fine.Now, the issue ...My mum noticed a login loop when she tried to get into Facebook. Every time she tried to log in, it would just redirect her to the login screen. I tried the same thing to no avail. I can't log in to some other sites as well, such as Photobucket. I can't upload to tinypic either. However, as you may have noticed, I can log in to forums just fine - however, it only keeps me logged in for one session, even if I ask it to remember me.My neighbours don't seem to be having this issue - except for the neighbour that shares our internet. She can't log in to Facebook either. I thought it might have something to do with our IP, so I tried using the Tor/Vidalia proxy assistant to log in to Photobucket from a different server/location. It worked. So, we can log in to various websites via proxy, but not from our home IP.

All theres a problem with my internet connection because recently i saw that my Nintendo ds couldent connect to my WPA connection so i logged into my router and done the idiotic thing of changing my connection from WPA to WEP and now i cant connect to the internet so when i try to connect it just says aquiring network address then stops eventully saying limited or no connectivity. I tried logging into my router again but apparently i need an internet connection

TP Link router, wired to a tower. websites such as YouTube Facebook wont load, neither will full tilt poker software yet Google Hotmail all load fine. This is using the newest IE 8 is it now?

wireless device also wont connect to FB or YT, iphone also connected wirelessly wont - although trying to connect when not on wireless using a non 3g connection fails also.. no signal where I live.Ran spybot, mbam, avast and superanti all at same time (cos my PC rocks unlike my connection) 0 issues found on each.

I have a remote 3G Cisco router (Cisco 819) that occastionally drops it's EzyVPN and the local guys just reboot the device so when I log on and check the logs it is empty. My syslog server shows very little, can I keep the logs locally or up the logging to the syslog server?

I can't remember clearing the log with a clear counters. Router is a CISCO 3925-CHASSIS (revision 1.1) with C3900-SPE100/K9..System image file is "flash: c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M4.bin"..I did a : clear counters, enter. got this standard message >> Clear "show interface" counters on all interfaces [confirm], enter and it CLEARED the LOG BUFFER as well !!!! never seen that before. Its a newly turned up router, repurposed from another part of our network.

I have a D-Link DIR-632 router flashed to DD-WRT.My original setup to my cable modem worked fine, i set up my wireless parameters via the DD-WRT software and everything was peachy until last week when my access (on the ISP end) was interrupted. Time Warner sent out a serviceman while I was at work and apparently he "Changed the IP Address".Now when I try to connect via my router, I get constant DNS errors (Windows 7 64 Pro).

My internet connection was lost and after calling Verizon, they talked me through adding a different isp address. Now my internet works, but when I went to my D-view cam (this is where the daily footage is stored for security camera DCS-930L), I can't make the connection. It says COM1 is not working. I know the camera works through the wireless router, but somehow the connection between the camera and the D-view cam doesn't.

I decided to get a faster modem since we are not streaming a lot more and started on the XBOX Live. I got a Zoom 5241 which seemed to have some good specs for what I need. I turned of my pc and unplugged my router when I connected the new modem. Before I connected the coax and ethernet, I held down the reset button, made all connections, waited 3 min., plugged in router...waited...powered up pc. Modem lights keeps cycling, DS flashes a while-then solid then US flashed-solid, then Online flashes-never solid and starts all over. Link light is continuously lit. I tried /renew, nothing.

Basically, I was following instructions of how to forward a port to get higher speeds on bitcomet.After doing allsorts which I don't understand (yes, very stupid I know, but I've learned my lesson now), I restarted my computer and have since been unable to connet to the internet.

My mother accidentally turned off wireless or changed the password to the 2WIRE778 that we have and I can't get wifi on my iPod. So I have a small motorola router and it's wireless so if I hook it up to the original 2WIRE that has blocked wifi do you think I can get wifi off the second router with no password troubles or would I have to buy a special router that has no password? I don't know a lot about computers. And my Meyer has a password on our computer so I can't log on. so if I just hook up the 2nd router and possibly get WiFi do I need to do anything such as setup on the computer or can I plug it in and just go?

Laptop, Desktop with USB stick, and 2 notebooks all were working fine on wireless prior to switching from phone line, to high speed cable connection at router. Have tried reset, unplug power, reinstalled router and everything else I could think of but none of them will connect. Shows a good strong signal from router but will not connect. Re-entered numbers, password etc as well in all other computers. What else to try other than a new router? Could it be coincidence that router decided to quit, around same time as changeover? Cable connections good and main computer connected via cable works ok, just all wireless not working.
Can't log in to d-link either. wrong password,? Type in admin, but won't log on without password and I tried but won't accept . Hitting reset and then retry didn't work either?

Buffalo Linkstation HD-H250LAN and Netgear N300 DGN2200v3 ADSL2 Modem Router.
3 PCs connect without a problem, 2 wireless and 1 wired, but cannot get it to recognise the Buffalo Linkstation. Netgear uses 192.168.0.1. but Belkin used 192.168.2.etc.
Linkstation setup says Linkstation not connected, but it is.

My son decided to update our router firmware, together with this the password was changed. My computer which hosts the Internet connection works fine, all other laptops have now been connected successfully after simply changing the password. However my wifes laptop won't play ball. It is a Samsung R510, with Vista Home Premium OS. It worked fine prior to updating the firmware. I have been through the process of changing the password and have the correct security encryption in place, exactly the same process as with the other laptops.
It then says successfully connected, but shows in the bottom right of the screen, Unidentified network access local only and will not connect when the browser is opened. I have tried to diagnose but the usual windows prompt to reboot both modem and router has no effect. I have set it to private, as advised elsewhere, I have switched the firewall off and removed security software, all to no avail.
I tried the command prompt, then ipconfig/renew. An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Connection: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out. No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has media disconnected. Let me stress that no changes were made to the laptop at all, it is simply not connecting following the firmware update and password change. All other computers, and phones, 6 in total, are all working fine from simply changing the password.

Changed from D-Link to Netgear router now only one of two computers cannot see the other. Error shows cannot connect to MSHOME network, need administrative approval. Computers are ethernet connected to the router. Have McAffe and both computers are "Trusted" Can do a search with XP and it shows the missing computer but unable to make a connection.

I believe we accidentally changed the NAT on our wireless g MIMO F5D9230-4 router. Now only one laptop is actually connecting to the Internet, but it looks like our network isn't secure anymore. Our 2nd laptop is connected wirelessly to the router, but not the Internet. Our iPhones and iPad are not connecting at all.

On Sunday hackers got into my gmail acct and sent a message saying I had been robbed in Madrid and I needed cash wiring to me. i use windows 7 with a DSL connection and a router connected to it. my problem is that whenever i acess facebook it displays i have tried using other browsers but it I know that this is not a network problem as yesterday my cousin came and he has confessed that he has played a prank with me. He brought his laptop and did something wirelessly i.e, through the router networking. he did not touch any of the hardwarewhatever he did was through his own laptop.I can not get acess to his laptop has he is now in another country.

Ive been trying to sign into facebook on my computer for a couple of days now. Once i have pressed log in with all my details it just goes to a blank page and then loads to a "you must sign in to view this" page - it doesnt matter how many times i put my details in and log in, it just keeps returning to this page. I have tried clearing all browser history and cookies, plus ive run virus scans and tried restarting but nothing works!
