Connect A Router To An Access Point?

I currently have a network setup like this:
Route 1 --> Switch --> Access Points ---> Router2 connected to one of the access point
So pretty much I'm trying to create a wireless network for a temple. I set up a network with several access points as above. However, they wanted a network for the office separate from the rest of the temple. So I decided to setup Router2 and connect it to one of the LAN ports of an access point.
However, this seems messing up the whole network. People can connect to the access points but they won't have access to the Internet. Also, if I connect my laptop to the office network, I wouldn't see the gateway as 192.168.1.1, which was set for Router2. Instead, I always saw the IP address of Router1 as the gateway.

How do I connect and configure my WAP54G wireless access point to my new Cable Modem? I have it connected to the modem but I cannot access it to configure it. It appears to be working but before I got the cable modem I had it connected to a router and it was set-up with a static IP address. With my new ISP, I no longer have a static IP address so I am trying to configure the WAP54G to use DHCP. Trying to access it thru the internet at 192.168.1.245 does not work.

I've got a AP WAP54G. I've managed to get into the configuration page and rename my router and set a WPA2-Personl password.
The issue I'm facing is that when me and my roomate try to connect to the router at the same time, it shows the laptop that connects second as one that has 'limited connectivity' and hence cannot use the internet. The 1st laptop however works fine!
The settings for the router have all been left to default.
I'm not sure, but does this problem have anything to do with the fact that the router in configured with a static IP. If so, then there is another issure which is that whenever I try to change it from static to automatic/dynamic IP, the page fails and the router doesn't even get connected to the configuraion page(192.168.1.245) after that. The only way to get that page again is the reset the router.
Also I'm not able to directly get into the config page when I connect my router to my laptop via lan. I need to change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.x where x is >1.

I'm using a WRT120N and have had no problems connecting most wireless devices, but a Nintendo DS and DSi owned by my family are unable to connect to the access point. My wireless security mode is disabled, network mode is set to mixed, SSID is the same as on the DS/DSi, Channel width is 20Mhz only, Standard channel is set to 6, but I tried using channel 1 and 11 without success, SSID broadcast is enabled.
I've tried every work-about I could find and always get the 51300 error code, and am at a loss as to what else I can try to get the devices to connect to the access point.

My problem is that my son will not turn off his xbox at night. To get around this I want to connect the Xbox to an old netgear router that I am using as an access point to extend wireless coverage, so that I can use the parental controls on the netgear as the ones in the Sky Sagem are not adequate.I can disconnect the Netgear at a certain time if necessary and if this is the only way the xbox can connect it will have to go offline then!

I have high-speed cable access currently coming into an older D-Link 4-port wired router. I need to buy a new wired and wireless router so I can sync my new Android 4G phone (I'm in an area with bad cell coverage but I can sync with wi-fi). I have a second house about 200 feet from mine and have 3 Cat5E lines running underground in conduit to it so the lady next door and and her two kids can use the internet (I have 40-50mb service for my business use at home). Problem is that my kids have discovered YouTube, streaming video, video chat, etc. and are burning up my bandwidth. I currently have two of the lines to them disconnected so that I can limit their use to one computer at a time. I'm considering having them buy a Wireless Access Point, can they connect it to the standard single Cat5E LAN wire that is coming from my new wired and wireless router when I buy it?

1. Just got a new DLINK Xtreme N DIR-825 Router. Directly connected this to the internet.
2. Currently, the Linksys WRT54G (1st Generation) is connected to the DLINK by an Ethernet cable to one of the 4 ports on the back.
3. The Linksys further splits the signal to another 2 computers and a NAS by hardwire.
4. The internet is still getting through to all the computers, but the computers are not able to access the NAS or each other.
5. I can't seem to open the WRT54G's access (192.168.1.1) because (I thin) the new DLINK uses a local set of IPs that are 192.168.0.1xx.
I can login to the NAS using its IP, and I can see it on the 'Network Places' of the computers ,but when I try to connect, it says the drive is moved, etc. etc.I use a variety of computers / O.S's on this system: XP (2) hardwired, Win 7 (2) hard wired, Win 7 (1) wireless, Mac OS X Snow Leopard (1) Wireless, plus various other wireless devices (phones,Wii, etc.).
NAS is a Synology DS411+
1) Get logged into my Linksys
2) Get the NAS accepted by other computers on the network.

I have a Verizon Actiontec M1424-WR router that is my main router for internet access. I would like to use my Linksys Broadband Router BEFW11S4 Wireless-B as an access point in my garage so that I can connect non-wireless (wired) computers to it. I've tried different configurations but no success; I've read alot about connecting the routers together through an ethernet cable but I want to connect them wirelessly.

I have a WRT54g with Tomato firmware. I am trying to set up a WAP54g to extend the range but while that access point does show up as a network, nothing can connect to it. I already have the router's MAC address put in the WAP. I think the problem is that I have Tomato on the router and that conflicts with the default firmware on the WAP. Range isn't really the problem, I just need to strengthen the signal in a specific area that it's not getting to because of walls. I can't even switch to previous versions of Tomato anymore. I may have just bricked it.Some facts about my setup-My modem has default settings: PPPoE connection with a DHCP server enabled.-I set the router to use DHCP and put it in "Access Point" mode.
-The WAP is set to repeater mode and it was set to Static IP configuration by default. I simply followed the instructsions here: url....
-There are three different MAC addresses: The WAN, LAN/router, and the Wireless. I put the Wireless MAC address in the access point. Is that correct?
-My desktop is wired directly to the router and it has a static IP outside the router DHCP's IP range-UPnP is enabled by default in the modem and router, but I'd like to try to get this working rather than buy all new equipment.

I have AT&T Uverse which provides Internet for my home. The wireless capability of this router is pretty bad, I don't get good/reliable wireless reception upstairs in my office. The solution was to buy a Cisco E2500 and add it as an access point upstairs.
I have the E2500 LAN port connected to the LAN port of my uverse router downstairs. DHCP is turned off on the E2500. I have my office PC wired into the E2500. The home PC works fine, its getting DHCP from the uverse router downstairs and connects and good speeds. The problem comes with my wireless devices trying to connect to the E2500.
I should mention that yesterday when i bought this, all worked fine. This morning when I came into my office none of the wireless devices would connect to the E2500 at all. But as soon as I remove the cable that connects the E2500 to the uverse router downstairs they will connect via wireless but of course not get an IP address since that is disabled.
I have factory reset the E2500 and uverse router several times and am getting no where. what could be causing the wireless devices to not connect at all?

Dell Inspiron 1520 Windows XP SP 3?My Dell suddenly will not connect to access point / wireless router / DSL. Other computer in house connects fine. Computer is auto-updated by Windows, McAfee, Secunia, and frequently checked with System Mechanic, McAfee, Lavasoft, MalwareBytes. One of the auto updates may have been interrrupted.Says Wireless adapter "not present"...Does not recognize wireless in the area. Try to "repair" adapter, but message says adapter not present.I then use System Restore to 4 day earlier date and laptop connects immediately. I see a new symbol "Local Area connection on Actiontec m1000 has been added in the Network Connection window, and the Wireless Network Connection says it is connected to the correct network that has worked fine for several years.I have several Windows updates for the Malware Tool that install immediately if I reboot, but then I cannot connect to the network and have to use System Restore (which is taking longer and longer to restore...appx 1.5 hrs now).

How would I bridge a wireless connection with a distance of 400 feet? Would twoAP1262N-A-K9 be able to make this happen? Or is there another wireless bridge that you all can think of?I would be connecting one AP1262 of off a 3750g switch and at the far end (400 ft aproximately) another AP1262N-A-K9.

I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network.My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1. My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems.The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.
I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390 but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.
The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Using a Cisco router as an access point on a separate floor. Was connected and doing work on my laptop when the connection drops. It now says that I am unable to connect to that access point, I am still able to connect to all other wifi signals available. My phone and tablet can still connect to that access point without any problem, but no go for my laptop. Wired connection works on laptop, but for wifi it just keeps saying Windows was unable to connect.

Am trying to connect 3 pcs connected to a Dlink 8 port switch through a Dlink WL2100 Access point connected as an AP Client to the main network. Only 1 pc is able to see the main network and am having none of the other 2pcs are able to see the main network. The 3 pcs are able to see each other.

I recently switched from DSL to cable. No issues on DSL. Since switching to cable, I haven't been able to connect more than one computer to the wireless access point at one time. I have three computers, one running W7, one on xp, and one on Vista. All three of the computers have been able to connect to the WAP when connecting alone.I am using a wap54g linksys access point. I want to configure and WAP610N to work as an Access Point (it was configured by previous administrator some time ago): free hotspot open, LAN secured by password. What makes my last 2 days horrible is that I can't even get access to Administration Panel. Used Cisco Online Support Articles, used User Manual, tried many ways to connect without luck.First of all I've connected LAN cable directly from PC to AP and Windows stuck at "Identyfying State", after some hours "arp -a" command shows me only IP's of my LAN, no MAC of the AP.Tried to reset settings to the factory default - when on push for 30 seconds reset button, power diode blinks, ap starts and settings are the same - still connects to the company's LAN.Wireless networks is default 'linksys' without password I can connect to it and get the internet, after pushing fast connection button it changes to secured "Linksys-<some letters and numbers>" to which I can't connect.I can't even get IP on wired and wireless connection - DHCP don't work? I don't know what IP to set manually. How can I get access to Administration Panel? How to reset this thing?
