I bought a VPS from a reputable company and all was well untill last night. I am unable to connect to my VPS via SSH, VNC or even my Plesk Power Panel directly. I Can connect to Plesk power panel through a web-based proxy ( like daveproxy ).The error i get when trying to connect via SSH is: "Network Error: Software caused connection abort"VNC error: ReadExact: SocketIPv4 error while reading.
I connect to my corporate network using Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. Once connected I can no longer print to my LAN attached printer and other local resources. I use the Cisco/Lyncsys E4200 router on my LAN and can re-connect to the storage on the local LAN by setting up Port Forwarding of port 21 and MS Windows FTP folder sharing. However, I can't seem to connect to a Terminal Services client by forwarding port 3389. Is there a way to connect to the local LAN after logging into the VPN connection. I can connect to regular HTTP/HTTPS sites and most other type of connectiins, just not my own local resources.
When I first installed my Netgear N600, my new LG 570 BluRay hooked right in. Ten days later, no dice. Tried rebooting everything, in the right order. Still nothing.
Is it possible to connect two different ips together? A proxy server : 192.168.1.1. All the connections are going through this Server, everything is working fine if the ip range is 192.168.1.XXX Now, when i changed the ip range from 192.168.1.XXX to 192.168.2.XXX im not able to access network, Note: default gateway is the proxy server itself..
how can i connect two different lans of ip addresses of head office in 192.168.10.series and branch 1 192.168.11.series, branch 2 in 192.168.12 series, branch 3 in 192.168.13. series. head office and the branches are connected with wireless
We have three computers (one of which acts as a file server) plugged directly into an internal office network. Then we have another such connection leading to the WAN port of a router which shares a single connection among another 5 or so computers & laptops. So the WAN connection is providing internet access AND access to the file server.
Since upgrading to a new router, it is now not possible to "see" the file server from the computers connected to the router, although the internet can still be accessed without a hitch. This has now become infuriating as I've spent several hours changing all possible router & IP settings to no avail.
i have the network key and its connecting to the network but wen i try go onto the internet it comes up cannot display website or somthing likt that..it came up sumthin about .netframework aswell i don rele ave a clue wat to do next.
I'm an experienced user with pcs but an absolute newbie with networking, so apologies if this is in the wrong section. I've moved into a new house that has a wireless widi (sp?) that my flatmate uses to play videos from his laptop on the tv. I asked if he still has the software he installed when he got it but he doesn't, and the software i've tried installing from searching the web hasn't worked. What should i do?
I've been looking around for more information on this topic but I couldn't find quite the specifics I'm looking for.In the most basic text, I want to connect two networks together via the internet and VPN. I currently have two Windows 2k8 Servers housed at both locations. I've tried to do as much as I could myself but clients on both sides cannot access each other.I set-up the Remote Router function on both Servers and connected them but I still cannot ping or access any of the remote resources on that network.
I'm having an irritating problem with an internet USB dongle in my new computer. I connected the dongle to a working USB port where the computer installed the drives/program that existed on the dongle. However, when I start the program it says no device found. I tried pulling out the USB and then plugging it back into the USB port whereas the computer first gives me a "pling" sound that it has detected the device and immediatly after that sad sound that says the device has been pulled out even though it's still securely in the USB slot[CODE]
Still trying to get this XP pro SP3 to connect to or log into the server, a Windows 2008 jobber. I get the pop up that says unable to access the server, may be a permissions issue. I am administrator on both though and it should not be an issue plus I can ping each machine from the other. The XP machine does not show up in the network on the server though. The server shows up on the XP but then will not allow me to log into it. I changed all user names and pass codes on all the machines to be the same and it cleared up a number of issues except this one. The network name on the server is Network 2 and on another machine the network is named Network 3. This XP machine used to connect to the server without issues. My server guy moved away and well, I am just not that savy on 2008 Server. I read the thread on the Plesbit network but not sure I understand his issues. Seems similar to mine though.
ive googled over the past last hour and tried everything i found. But nothing worked. So here i am once again asking the geniuses of TSF for their amazing support recently installed VNC on both my laptops, specs below[CODE]
We just moved, and the family room (where the desktop is) had no coaxial outlet. The exterior box is at the other side of the house, and instead of wiring around our entire home, cable guy said we could easily set it up where the previous owners did (living room), and use a Netgear USB to make the desktop wireless. At Best Buy, I was told to buy Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter WNDA3100 for $50. I install with the cd, and then plug in the USB as it suggests, and it just blinks from yellow to blue, not picking up my netgear wireless router in the other room. I go back to Best Buy, and they say that I need to buy another thing, now it's Netgear XET1001 85 Mbps Wall-Plugged Ethernet Adapter for another $70.Plugged one unit into the wall, and then plugged it into the Netgear Wireless Router. This will give me a solid light for Power LED and Ethernet LED, and then the middle, Powerline LED is a solid blue. With the second adapter, I plugged that in to my family room (with the desktop) and attached it also to my desktop with it's cord. This one has a solid light for the Power and Ethernet LED, but for the Powerline LED it's off. So it's not finding the other compatiable key, if I put it in between the wireless router, and my desktop (in the hall or kitchen) it will have all lights on, but I can't connect it with the cord to the desktop, and the USB does not pick it up any point.
Now, I can connect with my phone to the wireless network anywhere in my house, including the second floor. However, I can not, with or without the wireless adapters, connect with my laptop to the wireless network. I've done wireless with my laptop since I purchased it a few years ago, and while it can "see" the network, when I try to connect I get an error message that it's unable to join the network, and is now out of range, even when I'm sitting right in front of my modem/wireless router. It doesn't prompt for the password, I tried to manually add the password under network properties but it did the same error.I just don't know what to do or to try next, I don't know if I've set it up wrong, I followed the pictures in the manual, which is all it pretty much comes with, and did all the installation disks. Without it though I can't connect with my laptop, but my phones can..
I would like to stat a net cafe, so how can I start that particular net cafe in one CPU with 5 monitor? Here I would also like to know, have there any kind of disturbance in five monitor if use different user in different way?
My primary DNS all of a sudden "disconnected" itself. I have tried flushing DNS and powering off the modem and turning it back on again after 10 seconds. It seems that these methods are not working.
When I got my Actiontec GT704WGB router/modem(It's one of those ones that doubles as a router/modem.) My ISP is Verizon. I have McAfee is my anti-virus. Every time I try to connect it says "A connection error has occurred: The connection point has timed out." I use channel 11, have a 64 byte encrypted WEP key. Yesterday I found a neighbors connection, connected just fine, and it had a signal strength of about 40%. Why on earth can't I connect to my ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CONNECTION BUT I CAN CONNECT TO A FORTY PERCENT CONNECTION.EVERYTHING can connect to my router EXCEPT my PSP. [code]
I have had troubles connecting my PS3 to my Orange livebox. At first, I had the problem that it could not obtain the IP address so I manually entered it. This solved the problem. However, I also manually entered the Subnet Mask, Default Router (Gateway), Primary DNS and Secondary DNS. Now when connecting, it says I have a DNS error.(80710102)
getting the 825 that the NAS device is plugged in?When I connect the NAS 323 it is not recognized and Easy search utility that comes with the 323 cannot find it. Lights on the router for that port do not light up either. Worked fine with my old linksys.
my computer doesn't have a COM port, so i connected an EthernetCOM cable to my laptop (ehternet end) and COM to the switch. Question now is, how can i establish connection?
i have only one switch 2950 and create one vlan (for example vlan100). how can i connect two pcs with two different ip to each other? in this example we cant use private vlan.
We have a Verizon T1 line providing internet for our backoffice network. On this network, we have 4 network printers that are shared between the facility. We recently opted to go with new web based software that neccesitates a high speed internet connection, and 12 wireless devices across the building. We signed a contract with Comcast Business Class internet, so that in the event of an external failure with one ISP, we would have the other offer redundancy with the new wireless router. It has now become clear that our nurses that are on the Comcast wireless network, now need to print from their wireless devices regularly. At the time this is obviously not possible, because the network printers are only on our backoffice network. Buying a wireless inkjet printer is out of the question. How can I make this happen? All of the printers have a local static IP on our backoffice network (Verizon). I have heard of software that will essentially send the print job to another computer, which would relay the print job to the designated printer.
I have a 192.168.1.xxx network connected to Verizon FIOS via Actiontec MOCA / router.I also have a 192.168.15.xxx network connected to Comcast via Motorola VT2442 router (used for Vonage) and a Motorola SB6121 cable modem. Each network has it's own gigabit switch connected to each router. The two networks are physically separated but switches and routers are physically side by side. What is the best configuration to allow devices on 192.168.1.xxx network to communicate with devices on the 192.168.15.xxx network (share printers, NAS, etc), but still have each network served by it's respective ISP, and each device still get it's dhcp, dns, gateway, etc from each respective router?
dell desktop Inspiron 546 is not connecting to the Internet. I can connect from my wireless devices. Background info: using Verizon Fios with a Actiontec M1424WR modem and a Netgear N 750 wireless dual band router.
We have 2 PCs connected to a ADSL modem router (which has 4 ports) to share files and internet connection. Unfortunately there is no IP address assigned to both the PCs. When i tried to assign the PC it gets disconnected from Internet. The problem is : i want to access the PCs through internet from a Laptop. When I ping the Public IP of that lan network, it works. But when i use the Remote Desktop to connect to the PC or when i use the DOS command NET USE x: \IPaddressharename /USER:username password - It doesn't work. In DOS prompt error 1231 or Network path not found error occurs.I followed the instruction to configure Remote Access like disabling firewall, no installation of any firewall software, My computer -> properties -> remote -> allow users to connect remotely this computer.
At our work, we have a shared documents server and also an email server to connect to. For some reason, on one computer only, I cannot connect to either my e-mail or the shared docs. It simply will not accept the credentials (ie my password for my username). It won't accept anyone else credentials either. I have set up fine on another computer, and on my home computer which is on a different network. I can categorically say that it's a computer problem as the usernames/passwords work fine on every other computer, but this one cannot seem to connect. I connect to the servers through a shortcut on the desktop, so i think it's the exchange or something I can't connect to.
My laptop running windows XP all of a sudden wont hook up to IE just churns for a few seconds & stops . I did run spybot S&D on a recomendation & still wont hook up. It is on a wifi but I tried it at a local wifi spot & wont hook up there either , it shows a good wifi connection at both places . I am a novice so should I just take it to a repair shop or is there some tricks I can try ?
I've been trying to find the answer for this for ages. I'm now hoping a network pro can provide it here.I have two Gigabit switches connected by a single Cat 5e cable of length 10 metres. My servers are on one switch, and clients on the other. We don't seem to get good speed on the network, so I am investigating various issues in turn as I come across them. The Question is: Would I achieve faster packet throughput between switches by filling the empty RJ-45 sockets with additional Cat 5e cables, or will it have no more effect than the single cable there at the moment?
