D-Link DIR-600 :: Not All Devices Connect To Internet
Feb 3, 2013
I have just switched to a new internet provider (UnityMedia in Germany) and they provided me with a CISCO cable modem (EPC3208G) and a 'wireless N 150 Home Router DIR-600' (hardware Bx and firmware 2.13). I had to ring the service desk to complete set up. I was told to connect the LAN cable (from the modem) into LAN number 1 rather than 'internet' (in the router). I was also told to change the router IP address to 192.168.0.2. Thereafter the connection to the internet was established (they also asked me to make some other changes which I can no longer recall). However after the phone call with the D-link service desk I attempted to connect my other internet enabled devices (kindle, internet radio and smartphone) and apart from one other laptop nothing can connect to the internet.
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details

i have had a DIR-655 Rev. A router for years now and had no problems connecting my laptop to it well over 150m, the iproducts never got over 65m, i'm OK with that if they just won't but i would like to get there if possible. i went out and picked up a 2nd 655 (rev B) and flashed the bios up to the newest version 2.03NA and went in and mirrored all of the settings from the original router and then replaced the old router with the new one. the old router is not being used at this time though there are plans to use it as an access point later in another part of the house. i have updated the drivers for the wireless N card on my laptop (i can't remember the name of the adapter or the model, i'll provide that when i go home for lunch today). i've tried various settings for security, (i want to use WPA2 only, personal key, AES cipher, channel width 20/40 auto) i've even tried no security and it still won't connect over 65m.
I am currently having issues with the dhcp function on my DIR-615. The issue is some of my devices are never able to connect unless I set them up with static ip. Some of my devices are sometimes able to connect using DHCP but sometimes need to be set up with a static IP. In the log it says something along the lines of "sent out offer for IP 192.168.0.XXX" but the devices never receives the IP. The firmware says it is up to date. The hardware version is C1. Some of the devices having issues are PC's some are Macbooks and some are iphone and ipods. I'm not sure if it is related but when I look at who is using WAN some of the pc's who are connected to the internet have an ip address of 0.0.0.0.
I have a D-Link DIR-652 router, and I can see that it is broadcasting but I cannot connect through my laptop, tablet, or phone. Sometimes it will let me connect but other times it says it is unable to. I can connect when I plug into the router through a cable. I'm doing that now, and I did an ipconfig/all in case to see that:
Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Kyle-PC Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
For some reason, handheld devices cannot connect to our wireless dlink router. However, our HP laptop has no issue with connecting. Regardless of the make and model, no one else can connect at our home.
i've just a D-Link DIR-600 router last month and i successfully installed it and its working great. Until 2 to days ago, my brother told me that he can't conlnect to the wi-fi. I said that its working just fine and told him to just reset his phone. And then, my sister also told me that she can't connect too. I checked their devices like iPhone 4S and iTouch and it says "Unable to join the network....... Also phones of my friends can't connect also. It was just working fine. I haven't changed anything on the router's configuration. I already reset the router, unplug then plug it and its still not working. The router is connected to my laptop and I can still browse the internet. Its the wireless connection that is not.
DIR-615 REv E, Originally had a Windows vista, windows 7, sony bravia tv (hardwired), sony blue ray player, 2 blackberry torch, an ipod, and whoever else happened to be there connected. After a router push button reset 7 reconfigure, only the windows vista and a samsung tablet will connect. The windows 7 computer sees the router but cannot see the internet. It does connect if hardwired thru the router.
I have the firmware 2.10NA. In my home we have about 4 laptops and 4 smartphones connecting to this router wirelessly and 3 of the laptops often lose connection for hours. We have tried unplugging the router and plugging it in again and factory reset and also resetting it through the IP address but the connection doesnt come back. Recently it has gone out for about 3 hours now. Also the wireless LED icon on the router constantly blinks is this normal? On the laptops where theres no connection it says limited connectivity. Is it possible that there is too many devices connected to the router or something. or could this be a problem with the laptops and not the router?
I recently went into my router and changed my security settings so that my router is WEP protected. I was having issues with somebody feeding off on my connection and causing problems with my Internet provider. I had changed it to be a secured network before but somehow it became unsecured. So, I set up an admin password and such so nobody else should be able to get into my outer . Anyway, after setting it up to with the WEP, now I cannot access the Internet from any other device except my main PC to which the router is connected.I usually get some sort of error stating that there is "limited on no connectivity" when I try to connect my laptop or Archos Home Tablet device. Yet, is reads that the signal strength is excellent and recognizes my network as existing.
I was just curious if there was a way to allow a computer and a ps3 to have unrestricted internet access while at the same time preventing other devices from connecting to the internet at a scheduled time (12 am to 8 am for example)?
I am trying to allow a block of 7 or 8 devices to access the internet all the time. Two other devices I would like to allow internet access during a set time range. Finally I would like to block internet access to all devices not in one of the above groups. I need to use MAC addressing to identify the allowed devices. I was able to do this with my old WRT-54G but the DIR-825 is giving me trouble. My main problem occurs when I try to block access to "Other Machines". When I do that all devices on my network are cut off the internet.

I want to add more users to my home network and I couldn't, at this moment I only can connect 8 devices (12 devices at least) when I try to connect the next one its impossible, but if I take off one of the connected devices then the router allows to connect the new one.How can I connect more than 8 devices to my router ? (wireless)Also, is there any limits with Wireless MAC Address Filter ? because I can't add more than 8 MAC addresses in my old router I could do that.
My internet down my road went out a while ago for a week and it came back on fine but ever since the B.T. tech came over after to check the router it's been only allowing a couple of devices on at a time!I know it's not the devices because if I keep turning my router off and on it will work eventually but when reset then something else can't connect. Here is the details from a pc that i've got connected:Windows IP ConfigurationWireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection[CODE]
My laptop stopped connecting to the Internet eventhough our other laptop has no issue - tried resetting modem, router and bypassing router -- it shows my wireless network and says its connected as local only - tried TCP/IP reset and restarted but still same, when i did the winsock, ipv4, ipv6 command prompt i get an error on the ipv4 - resetting echo request failed? I also tried uninstalling my network adapters in safe mode and restarting but same issue still
I am currently using a DIR-655 for the home wireless network.DSL into a 2-Wire home portal (not wireless) and ethernet into the DIR-655.I need to connect a number of wired devices in a couple of different rooms. Some streaming HDTV content to other devices in other rooms. I'm thinking of the following:
-DIR-655 routing between the DSL subnet to the internet, the 2.4GHz wireless and a couple of wired devices.
-DAP-1522 routing between the 2.4GHz wireless, 5GHz wireless, and a few wired devices.
-DAP-1522 bridging between the 5GHz wireless and a few wired devices.
All devices will/may need internet access.HDTV content would be between wired devices and only over the 5GHz wireless (no HDTV to/from internet). Is the DAP-1522 the right device(s) for this?
I recently shut my computer down overnight, something I never do. When I booted it up the next day I had no internet connection. My computer is a desktop that's hard wired to a router and the modem. My son has a computer and an Xbox, both attached wirelessly to the router. Both of his computers are working mine is not. I keep getting a message saying "network is unidentified", but it won't let me pull up any networks. Its telling me there are no networks in my area. I have tried recycling both the router and modem numerous times, I even tried restoring my system to a date from last wk.
All of a sudden my browser wouldn't connect to any websites. Tried f.fox, IE and Chrome. But I could connect to the router and other devices, and another computer on the same router could connect to the internet. I use OpenDNS and started getting weird messages about my IP address being used by another user. I changed back to the ISP's DNS but it did not cure. In the end I used system restore back a couple of days and now all is well
1. Motorola SBV5220 Surfboard Cable Modem for internet 2. Rosewill 8 Port Switch RC-406X
And I have:
1. Dell Q6600 desktop running on Windows 7 2. Dell Latitude laptop running on Windows XP 3. Xbox 360
These all need access to the internet.Up until now, everything worked fine. The Motorola modem was connected in Slot 1 and my desktop, laptop and Xbox were all 3 connected into slots 2, 3 and 4.The other day, I accidentally pressed a switch in my home that switched off my modem. Anyway, once everything was reset, things changed.I can no longer be on the internet with all 3 devices at the same time. Either only the laptop can be connected, with the 2 other devices being offline, or just the desktop and not the laptop.Whenever I gain access to the internet via the desktop, it shows as Network 10 and if I try and repair the connection on the laptop, it says it is unable to renew the IP address. If I switch it up and I have access on my laptop but try and have access on the desktop, the network shows up as Unidentified.
I've been using a Linksys WRT54GSV4 router since November 2005, and have rarely had any problems with it. Now today after the power went out, devices cannot connect to the internet. My PC connected directly to the cable modem results in internet connectivity. My PC connected to the router allows router access through 192.168.1.1.My PC connected to the router can NOT access the internet or otherwise get out to the modem.WiFi devices in the house cannot connect to the internet, but can still access the router through 192.168.1.1.Swapping cables results in the same behavior, so the PC can connect to the modem with either cable, and the computer can connect to the router with either cable.
Reciently I bought a WRT120N Router to get a better internet connection and to have more capacity to connect different wireless devices, because the modem from my internet provider company is extremely restrictive.
I use an iMac, a Notebook with Windows 7 and a Netbook with Ubuntu 11.04, besides different devices (iPhone, iPod, PS3, Kindle). Although when I configured the router I connected every devices simultaneasly, with better signal quality than before, after using it for a couple of days I found that it disconnects itself, I can't access internet, and my only solution it's to switch it off and on.
All of a sudden my laptop, android phone and blu ray player (all wireless devices) can't communicate with my wired devices (marantz receiver and samsung tv). Everything still connects to the internet independently but i can't for instance play music from my wireless laptop to my wired marantz receiver. I had no trouble with this last week and didn't change anything (that I'm aware of) I did get Verizon to switch out my router but it didn't solve anything. My wife's computer also cannot connect to wired devices. Lastly, if I connect my laptop with via ethernet cable it sees wired devices fine. I tried shutting off windows firewall but didn't work. I have no other firewall/virus software installed. I can ping to all devices (wired and wireless) from my laptop.
I have a DIR-655 that I have been using for a while (b1 revision). and suddenly I noticed my wifi speed fluctuates constantly. My lenovo Y580 sees speed drop to 130 immediately and then it can slowly progress to 1 Mbps until the hardware is all rebooted. Same happens to my Nexus 7, Dell XPS M1530 and to my roku. I have updated to 2.07 (since 2.10 is advised to avoid). And I have attempted changing channels or factory refresh. What Firmware version is currently loaded? 2.07What region are you located?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL? Cable (link speed independent of internet speed)What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router? Separate Motorola ((link speed independent of modem)What ISP Modem make and model do you have? Does not matter, router issue. If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems. To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged. Not bridged
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic. Independent of issue, not a factor
Turn off all devices accept for one wired PC while testing. Wired works perfect.Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Cat6 is recommended. Wireless issue.
some problems I was having with the wireless schedule forcing a router reset when the schedule was enabled. D-Link eventually conceded that the problm is a faulty router. However, to have the router replaced will take 2 - 3 weeks, meaning I have to buy another router if I don't want to be offline for that long. So I've decided to save up my money to buy a new modem, and I've found that by having wireless enabled at all times works around the problem. However, around the same time I started diagnosing that problem I was changing various settings. At the time I may not have mentioned I have 2 PS3's here. These stopped being able to connect to the internet at around that time, and the kids tell me they didn't tell me about it because they knew I was working on other router problems, but now they want their PS3's to work on line so they can play online games.I have tried automatic configuration and manual configuration. I have the MAC addresses in the router, have set them up in the Network filters, and have a DHCP reservations. I have used the routers DNS and also tried OpenDNS addresses.I keep getting error 80710102 (DNS error), and when I first turn on a PS3 807101FF. Both PS3s exhibit the same symptoms.
I have a simple(?) problem with my old router. I had this for 2 years but I never used it till today. So its brand new, just without warranty . Long story short, this router can't connect to internet. I tried resetting the router, newest firmware, stock firmware, chaining the Ethernet wire, etc. Nothing would work. The weird thing is, I can connect to the router both wirelessly and through the Ethernet port, but the router can't "communicate" with my Netgear cg3000d. I used the wizard to set it up.
I have a DIR-600. but now, it can not connect to internet.this is images when i connect mordem internet with Dir600. (mordem running good)And when i connect my laptop with Dir600?
I can't connect to the internet. I connect the cables but the router doesn't connect to the internet. I contacted to my ISP and they told me to put this settings but I don't know how to put these
I recently bought this router and I've set the router too many times and keeps doing the same thing. I've used WPA WEP and without security and the same the router still dosen't want to connect to the internet.
I'm having troubles getting my router to work today for some reason. I'm with teksavvy and I've had the router for 6 months now and this is the first time I'm having problems connecting to the internet.
Any laptops or desktops in the house that connect wirelessly cannot load anything related to the internet. If they are connected by an ethernet cable then only skype works for some odd reason. When I connect directly to the modem with my desktop it works perfectly. I tried unplugging the router for 5 minutes many times and that hasn't worked. I've tried power cycling through it as well, modem -> router -> computer and it does not work. I've also tried resetting the router as well, holding the reset button for 20 seconds. During the setup, the router could not detect an internet connection. After the setup it was the same situation as I started with. None of the computers can connect via router.
I have a D-link DIR-655 router which used to be able to connect to the internet fine through my modem. However, it wasn't connecting to the internet when I woke up this morning. I tried all the standard replacing the cables, powercycling the router, modem, and rebooting the PC. After trying all that, I used the reset button on the router and reconfigured manually by entering the IP into my browser and logging in that way, but still nothing. I can connect to the internet by plugging the modem directly into my PC, but connecting through the router or wirelessly doesn't work. I can connect to the network itself through the router, and wireless from my laptop, but it only has local access.
Here's the ipconfig going through the router:

C:UsersSolon Family>ipconfig /all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : SolonFamily-PC
I have had this router and everything was working, I have moved and after getting my internet activated I proceeded to set-up a network in my new place. The setup process went smooth but even though I can connect to my network, I cant connect to the internet. I know my internet works as a direct connection through the modem works. I updated the firmware, I tried doing a factory reset on the router, basically did all the basic stuff that one would do if they had router troubles.
I have a wireless laptop that works with the D-Link 524 but when I went to a D-Link 655 it wouldn't work and I have 3 computers on Ethernet and my Roku works but after 4 hours with D-Link Tech support it still can't connect to the Internet wireless but is ok with Ethernet. I have another laptop that works with this router on wirerless also. Could it be the labtops internal adapter.
