ok my laptop dell XPS got virus and crashed...i cleaned it up and re installed window 7.Now my wireless 825 program is gone...i tried to install CD dlink 825 and it kept say retry.

"This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured" and it gives me the option to "Install wireless networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded" . Where can I get this wireless networking hardware?, is it on a disk that came with the laptop or do I have to download it using another computer and manually install it on my laptop. I have already don't some research online and have download some drivers but can't seem to install them on my laptop.

In device manager, it says those devices aren't installed. I can't install them because the laptop has no internet. I can't seem to find the drivers for them either on intel. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Dell Latitude D620 and bought it refurbished, I did NOT recieve a backup drivers and utilities disk with the laptop. The computer worked fine for about a year I had no problems accessing the Internet at all. Then it crashed and I had to reinstall Windows XP. After reinstalling Windows XP it will not connect to the Internet at all. Even with the ethernet cord directly to the modem. Since it will not connect to the internet I can not do a diagonostics to see what driver it needs. I have tried downloading a few onto my other laptop and then use flash drive to install it on the Dell but have not had any luck with finding the correct driver. I am not that computer savvy and do not know what type of wireless card I even have.

I bought a Linksys AE1200 USB Wireless Network Adapter because the laptop stopped recognizing the internal wireless adapter. However, when I use the CD that came with the Linksys adapter to install it, the adapter is not detected. I have tried different USB ports and also power-cycling the router & cable modem & rebooting. Nothing seems to work. I also ran the Setup program on my Gateway DX4860 desktop but the Linksys AE1200 is not detected on the desktop, either.

I am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.

I want to force a certain program (Max Payne 3) to use the third and forth DNS's that I configured in advanced settings of DNS settings (Windows7).
I want to do this because for some reason, using Google DNS in Turkey makes the game not start forcing me to use the DNS servers of my Internet provider. (if only it tried the second DNS that I configured, it would start but for some reason it does not)

As instructed in the video on the Linksys website, I plugged in the router, then the computer to cable to the router, then the router to the modem. View 2 Replies View RelatedWe had two dozen Aironet 1200 access points and a controller donated to us from a local hospital that no longer needed them. My boss would like me to set one up with 3 VLANs:
- encrypted VLAN for staff
- encrypted VLAN for students
- unencrypted VLAN for guests
Ultimately, we'd like the staff VLAN to have access to all internal network resources, the student VLAN to have access to several pre-defined printers, and the guest VLAN is web-only access. Whether the controller we were given will accommodate that, we won't know until we get one Aironet 1200 programmed and connected to the controller. For the time being, I just want to get this access point programmed with the 3 VLANs.
I'm easily able to get it running a single SSID (non-VLAN) network and confirm that I can use that network fine. However, I need to set up these 3 VLANs. I can connect to it via telnet if that'll let me program it faster.
I deleted the above program and now my wifi does not work. I've updated the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled them and finally have replaced the wifi adaptor itself,
