I have a Dell Latitude D630. When i try to connect to wifi network using the intel proset wireless wifi software, it denied to accept the password and give me some checksum error.
I have successfully connected to wifi network using windows xp zero wireless configuration utility.So, what is wrong with "intel proset wireless wifi software" ?
I have Dell Vostro 1500, i was reinstalling my latop today, and when I try to install Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility, there is a error at the end of the installation "Driver is not installed, a problem with this connection has been detected" , the internet is not working.

First, I have checked that the ethernet cable, and internet port are working properly. Then, i have looked in the device manager, and it indicates that my wired connection device are detected and enabled. However, when I connect a network cable to the ethernet jack on my laptop, there is no network light showing up. I have also updated the BIOS and wired network driver.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI wiped out a Dell Inspiron 2200 and re-installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on it. Everything seemed to work fine until I try re-installing the Wireless Driver. The dell support website pointed me to the Intel PorSet/Wireless 11.1.0.30, which I downloaded and installed successfully, with the only problem.... It does not work.When I open the utility it pops a message saying that the "Driver is not installed", and no signals show or anything. When I go to the device manager, the OTHER DEVICES shows a "network controller" with the yellow question mark, but when I connect to the internet (via ethernet cable) to update the driver, windows can't find nothing out there to solve the issue.

However, only the wireless connects, not the wired connection. When I plug an ethernet cable in, the computer does not recognize the cable, and tells me a cable is unplugged...which of course it isn't.

I'm completely baffled why this has happened. I was using it the previous night, streaming some music on Spotify, then I turned it off as normal, and when I tried using the internet the next day...nothing. The bluetooth light is lit as normal but the WiFi light stays off, and I've tried turning the external switch on/off to no avail.

I have just reformatted my Fujitsu A6120 lifebook laptop and I downloaded all the drivers and everything installed fine except for the Intel PRO/Wireless Network Driver. I even downloaded the driver from Support Downloads. After I installed it, a notification popped up in the task bar with the Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless saying Driver is not installed. edit: in device manager, under network adapters there is only the 1394 net adapter and there are yellow exclamation marks in other devices.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a used Latitude E5420. It looked like the seller did a fresh reinstall of Windows just before selling it to me. The non-internet applications are working fine, but it's not connecting to my home wireless router. I have a Buffalo WHR G-125. I tried pretty much every type of security type, but nothing worked, so I eventually disabled security and set up MAC filtering, after which I put in the MAC address for the laptop. That still didn't solve the problem.
It does connect to my neighbor's unsecured linksys network. Both the neighbor's network and mine are 802.11g
I went to Intel's website and installed the latest drivers for the network card, but that didn't work. I'm using the latest firmware on the router already.

We can not find the gateway on our Dell Latitude D810 we were able to locate the IP address and Subnet Mask however the Gateway info does not come up we have tried various times to connect to a hotspot no problem with our Dell Latitude D620 and the Function Key plus the F4 key does not bring up the wireless prompt.

When my Dell Latitude E6510 Laptop is not on the Dell Docking Station and I'm using as just standalone I can access my wireless connection easily, no problem at all.However, when I attached my laptop to my Dell Docking Station, I can not access my wireless connection. The wireless connection is found, but when I click connect to network, I get "Windows cannot found network". When I remove the laptop from the docking station, I find the wireless connection and connect perfectly and it works normal.I am using Windows 7. I can connect to internet with straight wire going to docking station easily, but no wireless connection found when laptop is on the docking station. I work from home and use the docking station for two monitors for doing my job. I have struggle with this problem for two weeks now. I used to have a D-Link router which broke down so I purchased a new router which is a Linksys E2500. I changed the configuration on my laptop to use WPA instead of WEP. My router is configured with fixed channels (not auto). My internet connection is continuously being dropped and I have to re-logon to everything (very annoying with vpn tunnels). I looked up similar problems on this blog: a) cleared the DNS cache, b) downloaded windows XP- service pack 3, & 3 network software recommended for my laptop by Dell from the website and updated to the Intel PROSET/Wireless WIFI connection utility, d) ran ipconfig/all from C prompt and know the ethernet connections are disabled, e) called and checked with our local ISP and cleared the connection from their end. To sum it, I have tried everything I know and am still not able to maintain a steady connection to the net using WIFI. However I am able to connect using the cable to the router, so my net provider said the problem is with the wireless connection on the laptop. I didnt have this problem before.

When the users travel between locations, they sometimes find when they turn the laptops back on that the ethernet connection is disabled. Its not the wi fi switched off, but the actual ethernet connection in control panel is disabled.

Well my computer is a Dimension 4550, and i bought it about a year ago. i re-installed the OS for other reasons. I have verizon DSL, and it worked perfectly before the re-installation. after, the connection was working, but I was missing the driver for the "INTEL Pro/100 VE Network Connection". I can't seem to find the driver.

View 2 Replies View Relatedproblem with my Dell Latitude D600 Laptop,I tried re-installing my OS, so now with a fresh new OS the wireless capabilities worked fine, but only for the first day, then the next morning the whole problem began again. Now it would say " No supported wireless adapters found" and when i would open the device manager some devices would have the yellow exclamation point, some of the devices would say "Intel PCIC compatible PCMICA controller" and " PCMICA MTD-0002" or just "card bus controller" and many other ones that would alternate when they appear. And also sometimes my network adapters would completely disappear from the list. I also tried scanning my whole drive for viruses and nothing was found.
Then i found that if you disconnect the wireless adapter physically and re connect it, it might work, but it didn't. I should also add that before this problem for some time i had another problem with the same laptop that had to do with the battery malfunctioning, and it displays a 4 orange , 1 green pattern sequence on the LED charge display. But it had never affected any of the laptops hardware or software before, so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

When I start my laptop, it acquires the internet connection fine, whether wireless or the wired connection.However on the wired connection, if I unplug the cable and replug it, it does not get the connection. It shows Limited connectivity or no connection. If I try to repair, it says , the IP address could not be renewed. Nothing works but restarting the laptop.Same is the case with wireless connection at home. The first time it catches the wireless fine. However if the system gets locked because of inactivity, and I unlock it, I am left with LIMITED CONNECTIVITY or NO CONNECTION message on the Wireless. I need to restart my comp because the repair or the disable and enable of WLAN does not facilitate.
