I was wondering what I need to do to get the Dell Wireless Utility to recognize my MPI350 as a wireless networking device that need to be controlled.
FYI...I do have the card working using the Cisco's Airnet Utility but my work requires us to use the Dell utility for security purposes.
Also, when I view the wireless utility it says No Adapters on the tab.
So I am using a dell inspiron 600m. I have problems with the wireless Internet (well any Internet for that matter). It tell me that there is no supported wireless adapter. The weird thing about it is that if I reinstall windows (windows xp, sp3) and the drivers then it works. But the next day it has the same problem.Tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.Switching off all antivirus and firewall settings
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Dell Studio 1747, i7, 8GB, etc.It has a DW1520 Wireless-N half-mini card.Yesterday I encountered a problem with my wireless adapter when it stopped recognizing my home network (wireless), although it did recognize other networks as the neighbors.I did every reasonable step while trying to restart the router, then disable and enable wireless, then restarted the laptop.Nothing worked and it could not recognize the network nor to connect to it as a hidden network.After taking a (not so good) advise from a friend, I cleared the wireless network list and then uninstalled the adapter from the device manager.I then restarted again and counted on the Windows 7 (home, 64 bit) to re-install the adapter.
Since then I'm experiencing bigger trouble when I probably missed a driver or a device.I tried to download and install the drivers for the adapter from Dell's size and got "R249128.exe", then installed it. Still no change.I cannot enable the wireless connection at all and when doing a diagnose to the "Wireless Network Connection" I get the message: "There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter".Since I am clueless now, although I do plan to check with a Linux boot cd that the adapter is working.
I have recently reinstalled the Vista 32 bit OS on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. The wireless card installed is a Dell 1395 WLAN mini card. I checked and the card and it is enabled. If I connect the internet cable it works. When I search for a wireless network, none appear even though other computers are accesing the router that is next to the computer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Inspiron 9400/E1705 laptop with the Dell Wireless 1500 802.11n WLan card when I try to use the utility I get an error message that the internal settings are bad and to restart the computer to fix. It does not fix this. I am currently using the windows wireless to control the card. Is there a way to fix this, It used to work fine just when I downloaded the R151519 update now even when I use a previous update I still get this error. The driver is Broadcom dated 10/12/2006 version 4.100.15.5

I have lost my wireless connectivity to the internet on my inspiron 5520 laptop and need it back as soon as possible. Do you have this driver which is compatible with win 8?

I have a DELL Studio 17, with a DW1520 Wireless N WLAN half mini card. Whenever I go to the control panel utility, it tells me there are no wireless adapters, yet, the very fact I have this post up shows I am connected to the Internet. I have wanted to specify a specify local lan IP address but I cannot access the utility... yet the device manager tells me its running ok. However, downloading the utility from DELL, it tells me that there are no compatible devices.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is refusing to recognize the router. Until yesterday everything was fine, now it's not recognizing it at all. There are other computers on the network that connect just fine. When i go to Device Manager it is also missing the following:
Base System Device

Network Controller
PCI Device
SM Bus Controller
Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
Since I can't get onto the internet from that computer, where to go to get the drivers for these to download.
You mentioned a "Notebook System Utility." The download page lists the models it is for. My Dell Inspiron N5110 is not listed. Do you think I maybe need this and they forgot to list some models? Should I not try it?

The Dell Mobile Broadband Utility (DMBCU) now reports an APPCRASH upon launch only when Windows Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is installed. I'm certain it is due to IE8 and probably the required MeadCo Zeepe add-ins that are required for dmbcu.exe functionality. Upon uninstallation of IE8, the dmbcu.exe works flawlessly.
Is there any update or plan to update the DMBCU for the 5720 VZW minicard?
I'm trying to get my wireless turned back on after using an Ethernet connection at work. It's a Latitude E5400. The message I'm getting is that the DW WLAN Card is still disabled and to use the DW WLAN Utility to enable it. There is no icon in my notification area and I cannot seem to locate this "Utility". I'm assuming I'm missing a driver.

I can create the WiFi hot spot and connect my phones and laptops but its not sharing the internet. I've checked the "share my internet" button too but still then its the same result.

Each time I try to launch the Dell WLAN Utility I get a message:
"Internal configuration is inconsistent. Please restart the machine to resolve the problem."
Restarting does not solve the problem.
The wireless card connects fine with Windows managing the connection. But what about the Dell Utility? What can be done so it will launch and I can let it manage the wireless connections?
I have reinstalled the Driver and utility using R115319.EXE
I am trying to access the settings webapge so that I can delete computers from the scan list. When I select the settings link it attempts to open the page but then the lights on the adapter start to flash and it seems to lose the connection with it ....... The other links e.g. status, information and security seem to work OK provided they are aceessed before I select the settings link. One the lights have started to flash I have to switch off the adapter and switch back to restore the connection to the network. The adapter is connected to a BTHomehub. Other than this issue the printer works fine through the network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to change providers from Verizon to AT&T. This modem came with the AT&T Sim card installed in my notebook. The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.
My network consists of a main computer connected to Internet via cable and a modem. I also have an xbox 360 connected via the modem's wireless. I am using a netgear wireless adapter for the xbox, I also have another pc in the same room as the xbox, keep in mind the main pc and these others are multiple rooms apart. Now my issue is that the other pc is not recognizing the wireless adapter, and I know the adapter works because I've been using it on the xbox and it works perfectly. Now I went into connect to and it's not showing anything wireless or netgear associated.Also forgot to mention I am using the same adapter for both just unplugging from one and connecting to other.

One minute it was connected to the internet, the next it was on and off, I reset it and restarted and it wasn't recognized. Currently only working if Ihave an ethernet cable directly connected from modem to laptop or modem to router/router to laptop.

Yesterday I booted up my new custom desktop and today I installed my wireless PCI card. The drivers are installed and it recognizes one or two networks in my vicinity, but my home network and probably about 10 more are not showing up. I tried re installing the drivers but no luck. I was able to get my network to appear about 50% of the time I searched. I also was able to rarely establish a connection, but the speed was extremely slow and was lost in less than a minute.

I have tried all of my PCI slots tried ASUS and Realtek drivers and utilities and uninstalling removing and reinstalling and even contacting costumer support. Everything worked fine untill a couple days ago when I had a power surge; since then the wireless router won't show on the modem that the ethernet cable is plugged in, and I get no wireless or DSL internet. I called the internet service provider, and they told me to reset both the modem and the router, which I did and it worked fine for about an hour; then it didn't recognize the cable again. I thought maybe it was the ethernet cable itself so I bought a new one, and it didn't correct the problem. When I hook any of the cables up directly from the modem to the labtop or the pc the ethernet light comes on and I have internet connection again. Why doesn't my router recognize the cable?

It's like the computer doesn't recognize a wireless card. I have an old dell with windows xp. At first thought I figured that she may had dropped it and dislodged the card, so I took the cover of the slot off and everything seems to be in place. The wireless card is a broadcom.

No other hardware has changed except the router.I've tried both Google DNS and OpenDNS. In either case, the DNS settings can be entered and saved in the Basic Settings tab, but when I go to the admin tab, it shows my ISP's deafult DNS.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI attached WD My Book Mirror 2TB to E4200 with firmware 1.0.01 but it was very UNreliable. It would give I/O errors when I tried to access the harddisk. So I upgraded to firmware 1.0.02. Now E4200 doesn't recognize my hard disk at all. Yes, my hard disk is in the list of tested devices using NTFS.I contacted support but no luck.
I also have bad range with this router where I am only about 20ft from the router (2 walls in between) but I get about 3 bars out of 5 on my Windows 7. Could it be because I purchased a refurbished product directly from Cisco?
My Dell Dimension 3100 (XP) connects to my BT Home Hub wireless router using a Belkin 54mbps G USB wireless adapter. My computer had a virus so I ran Avast virus scanner and repaired or removed any infected files. Now the program doesn't start automatically like it used to and when I try to open it i get an error message saying "Unable to locate files: C Program Files BelkinF5D7050v3rdcm2k.dll". I also have the disk for this but when I try to run it it says "An error occurred while defining the dialogue box." I also get this message when I try to uninstall or change it.
