Basically I bought two ethernet adapters from amazon and have connected them up properly to the router and my laptop through my homes plugs. For some reason my laptop cannot pick up any internet signal from them displaying 'no network access'. When I've run the troubleshoot it occasionally will say that the IP address is not valid. I've tried a variety of different settings but cannot seem to get it to work.

The interface will show up/up only if I set the interface to 100M/Full Duplex when I plug-in the Ethernet Loopback Plug (4 Pairs). I don't see this Gigabit Interface @ 3845 router has any option to set it to internal or external loopback.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI could not boot the other day so I spent a few hour pulling everything out and checking memory components,etc.m taking the battery out finally fixed the boot issue but now there is no Internet or network detected or network adapter. It is not the router because pc in the other room is working fine on same connection. Mseems like a CMOS or bios issue. There was a message before boot about reverting to default bios settings. I can't update or remove driver because it is not detected and no Internet.

But after upgrading it to Windows 8, my Local Area Connection now becomes Unidentified Network so I can't give my Xbox internet connection again. So i put an old wireless card from another PC into mine and it works without a hitch comes up with network adapter in device manager and installs fine, and the problem card was put into an older PC and worked fine just like expected. Im really unsure on what could cause this and im not to sure about buying another card just get incase

Doing that caused the ethernet and network adapter to not work at all (says it need drivers) and I can't access the internet at all on it. I know there is internet connection, but the computor won't recognise that fact. when I go to repair the internet connection, I get a message ( windows cannot detect any wired or wireless cards on your machine) things I have done is to download drivers for the ethernet card and also the motherboard chipset to see if that would work, but no change. the yellow question mark is still there.

My personal computer in my room is connected directly to our router and I'm getting arround 14-15Mbps download speeds. My parents computer is located in a different room and I bought them the Netgear Adapter thinking this was the most effective and simplest solution. Better than a Wifi-Adapter. I cost me quite a lot too to be honest. The problem is my parents are getting speeds of 0.05Mbps and the browser often doesn't even load the pages completely. To me it seems like the data can only travel through the thing very hardly if at all.
