Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3825 - Access Denied While Entering Username And Password
Dec 11, 2006I have reconfigure my Cisco 3825 for ssh after we lost the config sue to a power faliure. I have reconfigure the same way it was configured before and working properly.
when I try to access the router using Putty ssh, I get to the authentication screen but after entering uername and password (enable secrete and line password the same) i get access denied.
Below is the ssh and line configuration on the router. I have seen the pdf that has been recommended here at Netpro and have followed that document but still having problem:

Jan 10, 2013D-Link Router 615, with Xplornet Satellite Internet <-(internet sucks).
We got the router about 5 months ago and it has been good, few losses of connection and you have to reboot which is understandable. The internet is always random so if the router needs reset/reboot its no problem.
However about a month or so ago its started redirecting constantly once you put a website in the address bar. Its not always the same sites either. Sometimes its google for part of the day, some times the site wont work for a week. It redirects me all the time to the D-Link Router Log In, and no matter how i try to access the website im trying to go to, it redirects me to the D-Link.

Now this is an automated system that has to auto-login in case of a power outage.

Again the Kindle shows that the router is there showing "Guest User" and after entering the password for the guest user it still will not connect. The Kindle does connect to the internet through a router that is shown - I have no idea whose router it is - but at least it proves that the Kindel will connect to the internet.

May 25, 2013I have 5508 controller in my lab. I am working on a project to set up a public internet but with some condition.
- User should able to connect to the SSID without any authentication.
- Once user will connec to the SSID it should redirect to an external URL which indicates terms and condition and email address field.
- User should enter his/her email address in email addrss filed and click I accept button.
- Once that is done then he/she is allowed to access internet.
We are not sure how can we achive this as I do not know what should be the return value for WLC to allow that user to go through or what should be the settings on the WLC to redirect to the page.
I have seen a settings on web authentication for external URL but I guess it is only for username passwor or Radius authentication. While in this case I do not want to use any authentication just an accept buttor or Decline button and all good to go.
Home Network :: Computer Won't Re-connect Network Drives
Mar 13, 2011I have a question about my windows systems(XP and Vista) re-connecting to my network folders when my computers restart. I have some shared network folders on my Synology DS410. And then i mapped a network drive to use those folders.But every time i restart my computer i get the message "cannot reconncet all network drives"I have to put in my username and password everytime. I choose Remember login and password.How can i fix this so it automatically connects to these on restart?
FYI...
1 computer - Windows Vista Home Premium
1 computer - Windows XP Home
Both connected via wired LAN
My iSCSI drives connect just fine on restart. Just not my mapped network folders.

May 24, 2012I hav a Network area storage server where all my files are stored. The Folders are shared on the network the shared folders were working fine but suddenly i was unable to access these folders .I tried to Map the network drives by IP address that is ""\ipaddressshare""of the NAS server but was unable to do so. It Gave me an error message ""No Logon Servers are currently available"" . But when i put my server Name that is ""\servernameshare "" i am able to map the folders. Why am i unable to access my shared folders on the NAS server by IP address . I have checked the IP adress connectivity and everything but it is all fine .I can even ping by ip address of the NAS serve

Mar 11, 2011My goal is to be able to login with a few laptops and be able to access internet and our file server's hard drive.
However, I purchased a wireless router and simply plugged this into the main router which allows internet access but does not allow access to other wired computers. If I directly plug the server into this wireless router with this router being wired to the main router, then the wired computers cannot access the server. It's as if it creates its own little network. So, I connected this directly to the main router which gives internet access but nothing else.
(Note: I cannot simply install a new main router.)
I believe I need a wireless access point, but I'm not certain.

So more like an computer linked. Example, it can only to A or B, A is the current computer data, while B have all the data of the different computer monitor datas, and if i login B it will show that current computer info. And same goes to the B computer, i can login to A or B on the B computer. What makes this very good is that, both the computer logins are sort of connected, for example if im on actual computer A, but logined to computer B and downloaded/changed some files/data on the B login, once i login on computer B to login B, the changes will apply even tho the changes are done in computer A.

1: on ACS 5.x i create a new user & Set " Change password on NExt Login" option.
2: Logged into the device through Telnet & Password can be changed after i authenticate successfully. however the same is not happening when i login to the devices through SSH.
is it because of the fact that SSH is encrypted session ?
Because changing password through a telnet session is not accepted in many fanancial organizations as per PCI Standard.

Dec 14, 2011I have a file server running windows 2003 and five computers (1 windows 7, 4 windows xp-sp3).There are two shares on the server.When the router is setup with wpa2, three of the windows xp machines will have problems with mapped drives. Directly after the drives are mapped, everything works, but 10 or so hours later, users can no longer access these mapped drives and there is no way to reconnect them it seems.The other two machines (windows 7 and one windows xp machine) have no problems whatsoever.
The only thing that the three computers have in common is that they are also sharing a printer (an hp j4680) attached to one windows xp machine (not the server).If I set everything to wpa, everything works fine, but of course my wireless network speeds drop to 56mbps.

Neither my admin / admin dosent work nor the new user I have created. Is there any characters that this dosesnt support like backslashes or forward slashes for password? Mar 1, 2013my RV042. The main login password has expired but it will not let me change it at all. Basically I try to login but get the error 'The old password has expired. Please change the password'. But with no prompt at all for a new password and just a return to the login page. Tried various different browsers, tried the old default password but nothing will work. There seems to be no way of changing it and I cannot login.
I really don't want to reset it to default as I have numerous VPN tunnels configured and various other settings.

Jun 28, 2013I just bought an N66U and started the process of flashing dd-wrt onto it via Asus' web GUI. I followed the steps on their wiki and it said 'complete!' I went to do another hard reset, as per the instructions, and no dice. I fear I may have bricked it
The next apparent step to me was to get it into recovery mode and either restore the asus fw or continue down that path with the ddwrt stuff, but I can't get it into restore mode
The documentation says the power LED is supposed to blink 'slowly' after holding the reset button + insert power adapter. I can't get to this stage.
Also, whenever I plug it in, the LED's on ports 2, 1, and WAN are solid for a few seconds. I don't know if it did this before, but I thought it could be an error code of some sort.
