My HP Probook 4520s doesn't show my wireless connection on the list, although the signal is on full strength on all other devices. My computer shows many other wireless connections in the area, just not mine!
View 1 RepliesMy PC has a wieless card in it and last night the internet went off and then I wouldn't find my router at all, just everyone elses.I tried resetting the router, unplugging it an leaving it for a while, then resetting my PC. Tried unplugging the wireless card and plugging back in. Made sure I have latest drivers. Disabled and enable the card.I then tried plugging in an external belkin adapter in the usb and that worked.There are 2 other PC's in the house and they are both connecting to the internet fine. But I tested an old laptop we have and that didn't pick up the router either.I went on the pc in the other room next to mine and tried changing the channel it was on from 12 to 5 and it actually worked now my pc can find my router (???)But we've been having alot of issues lately with bad internet on certain channels etc.I don't really understand why channel 5 would work but channel 12 doesnt? We are experiencing more latency on that channel too.

Drivers are succesfully installed and the Device status says "Device is working properly" but when I want to connect to a network it doesnot show any networks. I'm sure there are network available because I'm connected now on my other laptop ;-) typing this message.

He can't remember what he was doing when the problem occured)There seems to be nothing wrong with the router (an AirPort Extreme) since all the 4 of my households laptops can "see" and connect without problems.I've been trying to update my 802.11n WLAN card and other basic stuff, such as restoring to the day before the issue occurred.

Only one computer is having this issue, all others connect perfectly fine. Also, there was no significant change to the computer recently, the problem seems to have sprung about randomly.

I have been having difficulty connecting to the internet at my new place, I'm starting to think that the network card I recently bought (D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter) might have a problem, but I am not sure. I am currently using my landlord's internet, so I don't have access to the router to turn it on and off, which Windows suggests doing constantly, but I don't think that's the problem because I have internet on all my other wireless devices (Phone, PS3, Xbox).I am able to see the router most times and connect to it, but I am unable to connect to the internet, the networking image in the bottom corner has a yellow warning sign. Also, after a certain amount of time, the wireless card is unable to detect any wireless signal, the networking image in the bottom corner has a red X through it. I disabled all networking interfaces besides the wireless card because of an error message that I thought may have been caused by it: "This computer is continuously switching between two or more wireless access points or routers", but disabling the other interfaces did nothing and the message still appears after troubleshooting.

This TV is supposed to wirelessly connect to the Internet in order to stream Netflix, YouTube, Vudu, etc. I've purchased and connected the required LG AN-WF100 USB Adapter (dongle). My desktop computer is a Dell Studio XPS 435T/9000. My router is a D-LINK WBR-1310.
The TV simply won't maintain a connection with my network. Sometimes it will find the network just fine for several days -- then it disappears (in the list of networks, only my neighbors' networks show up, not mine).
I follow the steps in the LG manual: I go to "Network" and select "Wireless"
It then shows the AP List. My AP (SSID) is almost NEVER listed, but when it occasionally is, I select it and type in my Security Key. It then proceeds to scan, and 95 percent of the time, it comes back with the error message, "Connection is Failed. Going Back to the List". The other 5 percent of the time, it ACTUALLY CONNECTS for a while (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a few days). Then it disappears, and the whole cycle starts again
It's been a week now since I actually got connected! Is it the TV or the router? My router works with other devices (laptop, Nook eReader, second desktop computer), so it HAS to be set up right, doesn't it? The entire reason for buying the TV was so that I could wirelessly stream from the internet, and I feel cheated.
My computer doesn't want to connect to the internet via ethernet, however it will connect via wireless to the same network. Other computers on this network connect to the internet just fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a WRT54GS V7 that I have been running for a few years now with no problems until today.My wife used the internet from her laptop through the day but this evening after she moved to the bedroom and booted up the laptop, she found there was no internet connection. I tried what I know in cases like these, unplugging the router or modem for brief periods of time to try and get things going again but to no avail. So I tried using the Easylink Advisor which basically suggested the same process.

At this point, my internet connection is coming in from the cable just fine. I have access on the desktop which is wired and works with no problems. The modem and router lights are both signaling that everything is fine but no wireless internet coming from the router.

Using the desktop I tried looking for some solutions and tried resetting the router. I ultimately called customer support but being out of warranty they wanted too much although she suggested that I needed to reconfigure the router since I had reset it. I followed the online instructions for reconfiguring but still have gotten nowhere.Â
Im trying to bridge my zyxel eq660r-f1 dsl modem so that i can resolve the nat issue im having in my home network. Only problem is that everytime I bridge the modem and hook my E4200 up, I cannot connect to the internet. If i connect my laptop directly to the modem, I do get internet but not through the router itself.Â

So when we connect This Router to the Modem it doesn't show connection to the internet. (The Setup fails because of this). But with the old one it does connect to the internet. So either my modem doesn't detect the new router or vice versa. So I am not sure why its not working since on the old one it works fine.

The computer will say "Connected, No Internet Access" In order to fix it I have to unplug the router and then plug it back in. This happens to any computer that tries to get online from a cold start-up. The router must always be unplugged, then plugged back in, then it will have internet access (and will generally maintain it throughout the session and even if the computer is restarted, i.e. warm boot). I have downloaded the latest firmware uprade.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis issue just started happening. I have a Sierra Wireless Aircard 595 plugged into a WRT54G3G-ST. I will be browsing the internet and all of a sudden, I get the message that Internet Explorer cannot find the web page. At that point, I cannot get to any website. I have several PC's, both wired and wireless connected and they all have the same problem,. I have tried Google Chrome, Firefox and IE9 and all browsers have the same issue. My email continues to download through Outlook, I can use WS FTP and I can also log in to a remote computer using Logmein. It is just browser access that is affected.Â

There is no set time table to the error. Sometimes it happens within minutes, sometimes it is 30 minutes and sometimes it is over an hour. The only way out of it is to either unplug the router, let it set 30 seconds, then plug it back in or I found that I can go into the setup and do a disconnect from mobile broadband and reconnect and it starts working again. Of course, Sprint says they do not deal with issues unless the card is plugged directly into my PC, which is not the environment that I am running in (even though I bought the router and card from them.) Does Linksys still make a mobile broadband router?
 I previously asked if I should be concerned that the Internet light on my Linksys E3000 router doesn't light up when I have Internet access. Well recently I had to do a reset and I noticed that during the reset it does in fact light up, but it doesn't come on when the router is done with the reset!
