I have a HP Pavilion desktop with an internal wireless media device installed (though it shows up as "USB 802.11g adaptor").However, since a few days ago, it suddenly stops working every few minutes, or sometimes even after a few seconds of connection, claiming the device isn't connected, reconnecting two or three seconds later,as if I had replugged it in again.Everything seems correct in ipconfig when the device is properly connected, and a full reinstallation did'nt solve the problem.
I have an HP Pavilion running Windows 7 that was working fine for about a year on a wireless router at home. I have 2 laptops and a Mac that are all running fine and can recognize the wireless signal but for some reason, the desktop PC suddenly won't recognize the wireless. I have tried a system restore, no good. I have tried to load a different Intel wireless network adapter and downloaded a driver from the laptop I have that is connected, but still no dice. I thought it was a radio hardware switch that accidently got turned off, but I can't find anything on the keyboard or tower that looks like it would turn it back on. Running out of leads.
all of a sudden I do not have a wi-fi recognized on my computer, which is HP Pavilion dv9208nr, running windows 7. I purchased a new wifi card still no recognition.my ethernet cable work but cannot not find wireless in device mananger. I have a red light on the wireless switch switch does nothing
wireless disconnecting all the time and very slow connection I have a HP Pavilion DV7T-6000 and for the past week, the wireless INTERNET disconnects. If you place the laptop next to the cable modem/router, the connection stay up and the download speed is fast (40+Mbps on a 100 MBps connection. I also, can connect via Ethernet cable and get similar or just a little faster connection. ) If I move the laptop away from the cable modem/router, the connection speed and stability drops. I only have the one wireless laptop this weekend. I will be bring home a different laptop on Monday to verify the cable modem/ router is working properly. I have tried to diagnose and repair, system restore.
My usb devices- whenever I plug my Belkin usb internet adapter in I get an error noise (3 beeps) and the device does not power on. I tried another one (Cisco) from a different PC and got the same error. Tried this on all the ports and updated the drivers. All other USB devices work fine, tethering my phone to get internet for now. Had been using the device without problems for months until getting the error. The error started occurring when I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Using Windows 7 x64 on an HP Pavilion.
I recently System Recovered my Pavilion g6000 and now I cann't connect to anything.I went into the command prompt and it all read "Media Disconnect", so I googled and did the release and renew commands and the TCP thing, but no of it works. Also, my router is NetGear CDG24G50, and when I try connecting to it it will not let me. This is getting pretty annoying.
I recently cleaned my hard drive, but forgot to save my drivers.
Now after installing Windows XP, I can't access the internet and I can't save anything because I keep getting insufficient memory errors (but my drive is almost empty), but I have been able to update drivers.
I have managed to recover some of the drivers but I can't figure out what I have to do to get my desktop to access the web. I have tried directly connecting to my router and using my wireless USB adapter (whose driver I can't install because of an insufficient error message).
My computer is a HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7640n Desktop that I bought several years ago:

In device manager, i only have 3 question marks left under Other Devices: Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus, Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter, and Multimedia Video Controller.
So far I've installed these drivers off the HP website:
Fall 2006 Original NVIDIA LAN Drivers Fall 2006 Original Asus Modem Drivers Fall 2006 Original NVIDIA Chipset Drivers Fall 2006 Original NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE Graphics Drivers
I have an issue with my router that disconnects from the internet in variuos situation when my laptop (an hp pavillion dv6) try to connect. It happen everytime when the laptop go in standby. When i turn it on from standby, the router disconnects from the net and the only way to have access to internet again is turn off and then on the router. It happens also when i turn on the laptop if there is yet some other device connected, like my desktop or my iphone or whatever.
Sometimes i have the same problem with my brand new tablet (a sony s) in a slightly different way. I navigate then, after a random amount of time, the router disconnects in the same way and the only way to have back connection is turn off and then on the router.
I have an issue with my N750 Wireless router, F9K1103. I have a Windows Home Server, HP Media Smart Server – EX470, that at times causes the router to lose connection, with the front panel light going from Blue (connected) to Orange (disconnected). When I pull the net cable from the server, after about 30 seconds the blue light comes back on.
I've enabled the Media Server on my E3000 router. My PS3 can see the server and play media from it by my PCs can't!
I'm using Windows Media Player v 12.0 on Windows 7 and some older version on Windows XP and it's my understanding that the Media Server should appear under the "Other Libraries" section but it does not.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug in the E3000 firmware (I have the latest as of this date) or is the Media Server simply not compatible with Windows Media Player? compatible media player for Windows 7?
I did read a post about a firmware upgrade on the 4200 that broke the media player, but I don't know if such a problem exists for the E3000.
I've lost my connection. The F12 key remains lit orange when I push it.There is no button on the laptop.i tried pressing Fn and the F12 key, but that does not turn the wireless on. what else can I do.(My desk top computer remains connected to wireless).
For over a month now my laptop has been unable to connect to the internet via a wireless connection. It will connect to the network, but that's as far as it goes. Resetting the router does nothing, and the same can be said for resetting the network wireless adapter. However connecting via the LAN cable to the Router will allow me to connect to the internet and use it normally.I've even tried deleting the wireless information for my network off the computer and re-inputting it but that didn't solve the problem either.I have an HP Pavilion g7 notebook PC that is running Windows 7. I got in it June 2012 brand new and have had nothing but problems with the wireless. It worked fantastic for the first few months and then this happened for the first time. I managed to fix it by myself that time, but I don't remember exactly what I did. It worked alright for the next few months but it was kind of spotty and temperamental. And now it's not working at all. I've tried everything I can think of to fix the problem but nothing has worked so far. According to the HP support Assistant my wireless adapter is called "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030"
I recently took my laptop (HP Pavilion) running Windows Vista, with me on vacation. I got it to work there but it won't work wirelessly now that I'm home.
My hp pavilion laptop says I'm connected to my wireless but I cannot get any web pages to work. I did a-wireless network diagnostic test n it say problem w wireless adapter or access point. My wireless router is linksys model wrt160n v3. Laptop is windows 7 hp g6-144dx.my hp support keeps telling me I need to take action on atheros LAN but it will not update It has been saying this for about a month. Weird thing is I can get wireless on two iPods from the same router
I have win7 on an HP Pavilion dv7. I came to my friend's house before, and his WiFi didn't come up as an option to connect to. I unplugged and plugged back in the router, and that worked and I was able to connect with no problem. But today, that didn't fix the problem. I have restarted my computer and the router several times, I have deleted the corresponding wireless profile under "manage wireless networks" list, I have turned off my McAfee firewall to see if that was blocking the connection, I have tried connecting manually through the network and sharing center, I have troubleshooted my wireless adapters (Atheros AR5009 802.11 a/g/n and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter), I have turned off and turned back on my HP wireless assistant, I have updated the dirvers for the two adapters, I have installed the latest windows updates, I have done all I can think of. And it's not the router, because my cell phone can connect, as well as the other computers in the house, without any problems.
My linksys wireless router does not want to connect to my hp pavillion dv 6700. I had tried already tried resetting it, and it still hadn't managed to solve the issue. It might be something wrong with the IP address, or other settings. I can connect just fine to a modem. What do I need to do to resolve this and get back running wirelessly?
I added RAM to my HP Pavilion a6000n PC, and the only downside is that it no longer identifies the Netgear WNR1000v2-VC router as wireless.I run Windows 7 - have Comcast Internet and have an Arris TM722 modem. The modem and router were supplied by Comcast.I reloaded the cd that came with the router, everything appears to be on the hard drive, but the wireless is still not "enabled". The computer shows the connection as a local area connection, even though the modem and router are connected to each other and the pc.
I have an HP Pavilion laptop running vista. We got charter internet with a new Motorola wireless router. My laptop will connect to the router but not the internet. My wife's Sony Vaio, running vista, my son's mac, my android phone all connect fine. If I plug in a cable, I am on line, but not wireless.
This happened after I put on an ubuntu version called ICE. Now, if I load eg puppy linux the wireless adapter is invisible. I reinstalled Visa and it saw the wlan adapter but doesn't auto recognise now so I have to switch on manually. Can I put in a new adapter with 'n' capability?
I have a HP Pavillon dv6000 laptop, tried connecting to my wireless network this morning but no luck. It will connect fine when using Ethernet cable. Whether the switch is pushed to on or off the light stays orange, when it is connected it used to turn blue. I've included a prtscrn of my device manager...
I have a HP Pavilion dv9930us laptop. I recently upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate from Visata Home Premium 64-bit. Everything worked fine until I decided that I didn't want WinAmp that I previously installed. I uninstalled WinAmp. However, when I rebooted the latop, it went into an infinte loop after startup (that is, it would load all the applicatons, but whenever it connected to the internet, it would go into an infinite loop). I also uninstalled HP Quick Launch Buttons. I thought the laptop was going into an infinite loop because it was looking for these programs since they may not have been properly uninstalled. I went ahead an reinstalled these programs but after 30 seconds after startup, when trying to connect to the wirless network, it would freeze (that is only the mouse would work but everything else on the desktop was unresponsive). I edited msconfig several times, at one point, went through each program to see which ones were responsible for the laptop freeze. I found two programs, the SSDP Discovery and the CNG Isolation Key that were causing the laptop to freeze up after startup. I later found out that these two programs, especially the CNG Isolation Key were important to connect wirelessly. The virus program I have is Kaspersky and I already ran a malwarebytes scan through safe mode. At this point, all applications work fine except that I cannot connect to the wireless network. I ran the troubleshoot for the wirless network and reinstalled the drivers but it still cannot detect any wireless networks. Is there anything I can do without reinstalling Win 7 or updating the BIOS? The radio button or the wireless adapter is blue telling me that its working ok. When I checked it through device manager, it says that the device is working properly. connect to my wireless network? (There is no problem with the wireless network through the wireless router since I can connect with no issues on another laptop).
I have a HP Pavilion dv9910us i just got a new router and all my devices connect to my wireless network using the new security key except the indicated HP. I called my provider and they said its my laptop.

HP Pavilion dv6000 won't connect to my home wireless EDiAMAX BR-6204wg router via wireless. The HP will connect wireless in other locals and is working with a LAN connection to same router. This is our daughter's machine with Vista and we have trouble finding our way around in it. [code]
I have an HP Pavilion p6724y that has a wireless connection that messes up our wireless internet when it tries to download something bigger than a few megabytes. It'll work fine for five or so minutes but then it'll crash to 0 bps. The lights on the 2wire go red and reconnect after a minute or two. It only does this with my desktop, my laptop and the family computer work just fine.
I have a Notebook HP Pavillion DV6 3113sa with Windows 7 64-bit My Broadcom Bluetooth and Wireless Combo Card is not being detected. On device manager> Network adapters I cannot see my the wireless adapter. Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is in the device manager though. Also I can access internet with an ethernt cable and my phone and other computer can detect my wireless router. The wireless light is also continually orange and will not change. So neither bluetooth or wireless is working. I have down loaded the 2 Broadcom drivers from the HP website but neither fix the problem. However the bluetooth driver says something like 'Driver failed to install because no bluetooth device was found'.
I have an HP Pavilion PC and am running Windows Vista. My browser is IE. Recently, I have noticed a RED X over the wireless icon on the lower right section indicating that I am not connected to the internet however, I am. In the last couple days my connection has actually started dropping off while in use.
My roommate has a HP pavilion that she has been trying to connect to our internet, and while it seems to be connecting to the network, it wont connect to the internet. Its running Vista, and I tried all the repairs that it prompted me to try, but could not resolve the issue.I know it isn't a internet problem, because the desktop is hardwired and we have two xbox's that connect wireless with no problems.Im not sure what info I should have included in this thread, but its my first post and wasn't sure what I needed to put.
i own a HP Pavilion dv9000 windows vista operating system and just a couple of days ago i was able to connect to wireless connections that were in range. The WLAN switch would always turn blue when i turned it on but yesterday morning when i turned on the switch the blue light was now orange and its been like that since? So i clicked to diagnose the problem and it said "Install wireless networking hardware!"
