How to use my iPhone 5 using 3G or LTE to connect to my home wifi network so I can control things like my airconditioner (using the supplied app) which is also connected to the home wifi network?I have a WHS a Windows 8 machine and an XP Pro machine. I am using a Linksys WAG320N Router/Modem.
I have a CISCO Linksys WRT610N router on my home network which consists of the following 4 computers; Windows Small Business Server 2003, one Windows 7 Ultimate and two Windows XP Professional. How to configure a VPN on the WRT610N router that would allow me to access all of the computers on my home network over the Internet using the "Remote Desktop Connection" component.
I have a need to be able to remotely access, from my laptop running Vista, eight computers on different networks, all running Windows 7 Home SP 1, 64 bit. I have discovered there is an issue with remote access and SP 1.To give a little more info, I am in a group organizing two afterschool programs in two different churches. Each church will have 4 laptops (Win 7 SP1). I need to be able to remotely access each computer from my home at various times to provide reports on usuage, and to troubleshoot any problems. The cost to purchase a program is prohibitive, as this is a non-profit venture to assist kids in need.
I have the 2509-RJ Access Server installed and am able to access it via telnet within my home network. However, when I try to access it remotely, it fails each time I try. I set up a domain through dyndns.org specifically for the rack, the same thing I use for RDP to access my home computer remotely. RDP uses port 3389, which I opened up in the firewall and directed that port to my computer's internet IP. I tried opening up port 23 for telnet acccess to the IP address of the access server, 192.168.1.150. I believe the problem is with the dyndns.org domain I set up. The one I use for RDP has my public IP address attached to it. I tried doing the same thing for port 23 and routing that to the access server and it fails.
I need to connect my home pc to my office LAN, is there a way of connecting to the LAN remotely as if the pc was locally joined to the network? I don't want to connect to a specific pc just join the network itself. When I logged into the router management I thought I would be able to just specify a remote IP address that would be allowed to connect to the LAN as if it were local but there is no obvious way of doing that. The router is an SMC.
I've got a decent setup (Vista, 6GB RAM) that I use for web browsing, browser games, and the occasional MMO. My wife has something that works for her for browsing / browser games (Win7, 2GB RAM). Naturally, the kids are always on my machine, and whoever comes second is fine with Mom's. BUT, sometimes that ol' butthead Daddy wants to use his own computer! No problem - Junior got a netbook for Christmas. OH, but... it's not what he's used to... actually, it's slow enough in comparison (Win7, 1G RAM) that he gets frustrated and wanders off[CODE]
I have a new E1200 router. I VPN from home to my work computer just fine. since I can remotely access the router from work...what setup section of the router would I need to utilize to go backwards and access my home PC thru remote desktop? NAT? if so what are the instructions to do so.
for example, there are 3 sites, A, B and C. A and B are 1.5 km apart and both are separate LAN(mixture of wireless and wired). C is 35 km apart from A and B. I have to connect A, B and C so that they can communicate with each other. Security is required.
i want to setup a remote desktop connection for 3 computers on the same network to connect to remotely. Originally i was going to port forward the original windows RDP port and run the windows rdp service but learnt that XP Home Edition doesn't support this feature. I want to be able to log onto these computers at any time remotely with the need of accessing the computer before i connect.
I have a sky router (Netgear DG834GT), which i have connected a secound router to which is a D link DIR-615 (with DD wrt firmware D4).I can get access to the sky router remotely without any issues even when changing the port number. its the Dlink router i cannot get access to remotely (within the network i can by typing in the dlink's ip address and works). Main router Sky router IP is 192.168.0.1 - Currently the port number is 8081.Secondary router Dlink IP is 192.168.0.2 (Static ip) - currently the port number is 8080.I have tried to configure the ports but it just dont want to open. Ive tried to open the ports on main netgear and tried all the option my dlink for port forwarding. i must be missing something fundametal here.
I was using Remote Desktop between two home computers hard wired through the router and a switch. Now after upgrading to firmware 1.35 I can't get remote desktop to connect. I get an error that I may not have permission, etc. I have the DIR 655 ver A and am running Windows 7 professional on both computers.
I currently have a BT Home Hub 3 router and an Ubiquiti Power AP N.What I am trying to do is use the Ubiquiti access point as the main device for all connections in my house (ethernet and wireless) so that I can use the QoS settings etc. I basically want the Home Hub router to play as little role as possible in the network except for providing the ADSL internet connection.I know I need to enable DHCP on the access point but everytime I do so the devices connected to the access point lose internet connection.(BTW I have an ethernet cable connected from one of the routers LAN ports into the access point's WAN port)
i have an internet connection thrw USB from a ppp adapter from there i've made a netowrk with another computer now on the client computer from my network i have XAMP server who i want to be accessed from the internet .i have subdomain like radionis.zapto.org (192.168.0.2) registered at no-ip.org.now what IP i have to introduce there to make my server accessible
I have been using a laptop to stream videos through my xbox for over 2years until recently. I setup a wireless network in the house to do this. All was fine until 3 days ago.I use a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7. I have a Dell Wireless 1397 Minicard, a cisco router (model #2425). Since my laptop was infected by Malware, my network has not worked since. I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti Malware to get rid of it and it appeared to work. I got internet access back. However, I still cannot connect to my network (visible in the Available Network list as normal) or stream any media.Windows Media Centre also has stopped opening and gives me the small box saying 'windows is checking for a solution', then closes with nothing. I can however open WMC if I right click and 'run as administrator'?! I have disabled all other network adaptors, only the Dell minicad is enabled and also tried disabling and enabling this main one with no effect. All problems point to the fact that my laptop can no longer connect to the home network but I cant figure out why?!Another (possibly unrelated) problem is occuring at boot up where I get an error message saying 'Bluetooth Software License not found. ' - Again this never happened before the Malware infection.
I have bought a new laptop and added it to my home network , two pc's and two laptops all running win 7. I share all drives on all machines. I know this is not very professional but it works for me.From the new laptop I can see all the network and see all the different drive folders but can only access the user folder on any PC from the new laptop. Also I can see the drives on the new laptop but only access the new laptops user folder from any other PC. I have checked this through a LAN cable and wireless with no difference. As the other PC's can see each other as normal I can only think there's a problem with the set up in the new laptop. I also note when I first try and access any other pc from the new laptop I am asked a domain name and password , I can put anything in these boxes and get to see the network but as I said above only access the user folders. I do have password access turned of.
I suspect that he did something and gained remote access to my computer.I found out about it when I checked my wireless connections on my router and found his name on the network : Steve's - Iphone and a couple of unfamiliar connections. I then opened my task manager and ended some tasks I thought were possibly infected. When I went back to the wireless status, the unfamiliar connections disappeared.
I use Norton firewall + kaspersky internet security and my virus definitions have always been up to date, but I cannot detect anything. I also set my options to permit only MAC authenticated computers and changed my wireless WPA/WPA2 key, but every time I turn my wireless on, this guy somehow is connected to my network. [code]
i want my ASA 5505 8.2(5) to access my proxy server on remote lan through VPN my VPN is OK, all PCs of local network can access to remote network.but ASA on local network can't access to remote network.i think it's a NAT problem but ....

I have a network printer (HL-2250DN) that I want to also reach from outside the home network. In the network it is reachable by 192.168.0.103 Now I used a DNS service to map my external IP to a domain name. How can I now access my printer? myprinter.no-ip.org is mapping to my external ip. But how can I forward this to my printer? On my router I'm forwarding port 80, 631 and 646 for the IP 192.168.0.103. But still it is not working.
I am trying to configure remote access VPN to my network, i have a Cisco ASA 5510 IOS 7.0(7).
I configured the VPN using ASDM 5.0.9 and below is the configuration received:
access-list 90 extended permit ip 192.xxx.xxx.0 255.255.255.0 192.xxx.xxx.248 255.255.255.248 access-list ClientVPN_splitTunnelAcl standard permit 192.xxx.xxx.0 255.255.255.0 ip local pool VPNIpPool 192.xxx.xxx.250-192.xxx.xxx.252 mask 255.255.255.0[code].....
I am trying to build a remote vpn in ASA 5520 Software Version 8.3(1). I am using ASDM 6.3(1) for the configuration. I went through the SSL VPN wizard and did the configuration. I tried connecting to the ASA using anyconnect VPN and I could successfully connect the VPN. My home laptop takes an IP 192.168.60.21 (which I have defined in the wizard). Now my issue is, I can't access any office internal network from this laptop (none of the internal IP is ping ing even). Meanwhile, I could ping and rdp to this laptop(which is connectd by anyconnect VPN) from my office network. One thing I noticed is that when I give a traceroute to an internal IP from the laptop, the first hop goes to my home ISP router.
i have a problem with my asa 5505 Remote VPN Connection with local network access , the VPn is working fine and connected , but the problem is i can't reach my inside network connection of 192.168.30.x , here is my configuration
I have two Windows7 machines (PC and laptop). I've set PC as VPN server and laptop as VPN client using default built-in W7 network tools. I've disabled use default gateway in remote network on client machine, so client don't try to route all communication through VPN. I've routed port 1723 (TCP/UDP) on NAT to my server and enabled IPSec/PPTP/L2TP passthrough
I've put my laptop in indepedent network (basically I've connected it via 3G network), connected to VPN server and checked ipconfig /all
IP Address: 192.168.1.101 Mask: 255.255.255.255 Gateway: (none)
LAN mask in server LAN network is 255.255.255.0 - I am surely missing something obvious, but Google doesn't give me any good advices; How can I access local LAN network from remote VPN client? How can I access local shared documents?
in our VPN configuration (ASA5520, Anyconnect VPN Client), we have different VPN User Groups. These Group Policies are retrieved from an LDAP Server. We'd like to restrict the acess like this:
A Group "Home User" might establish a VPN from anywhere on the Internet
A Group "restricted 3rd party" should only be allowed to establish a VPN from their specific public Source IP Address on the Internet (the public IP Address of this 3rd party Company). When these Users try to connect from any other IP Address on the Internet(Home, hotel, etc), VPN Access should not work!
On our old solution, we were able to limit the remote access network, per user group, to some source IP's.
The IP Filters related to group policies in here seem only to be filters concerning the VPN Address (after the VPN is established: where can this user group connect to). But I did not find filters/access lists, where yoiu can define/restrict public access networks for some groups.Or is it possible to do that by Dynamic Access Policies? How?
I have a Cisco ASA 5505, with basic 50 license, that is connected directly to the Cable Modem with a public IP. I have VPN configured and active on the Outside interface. When we connect, we connect just fine with no errors, but we are not able to access any resources on the remote network.
ASA IOS version 8.2(5) Remote Network IP: 10.0.0.0/24 VPN IP Pool: 192.168.102.10 - 25
I was able to access my website jetbaby.com just fine before I changed the cPanel password. Now I cannot even load the site or load the cPanel login page here: jetbaby.com:2082 All I did was change the cPanel password. When I use another computer that is NOT on my network, I can connect to the site fine. I'm assuming that my network is blocking it for some reason after the cPanel password change. I tried the IP address in the address bar as well (still no go). Cannot "ping" the IP address either. I reset my modem and router as well. Cleared cache in browsers as well. I also disabled firewall and anti-virus for testing.
I split my network into 2 to make it more accessible during peak time and to minimize internet traffic. However by doing this only the first network can access our Network Access Storage, the other network can access it because the two are separated by different router and switch also the supervisor need to see both network at the same time for monitoring purposes..
Since yesterday im unable to connect to the wireless connection in my dormsI'm able to connect but i get yellow triangle with exclamation mark in it, and it says "no internet access".In the living room im able to gain internet access, my friend also tried in my room and he was able to get internet access, he has tp-link adapter on his laptop.I have dell vostro 3500 with "DW1051 wireless-N WLAN half-mini card" as my adapter.I opened IE9 and pressed "Diagnose connection problems" and got the messege "Wireless Network connection" does not have valid IP configuration.OS: windows 7 ultimate x64
