Remote Access Windows 7 Home SP1?

I have a need to be able to remotely access, from my laptop running Vista, eight computers on different networks, all running Windows 7 Home SP 1, 64 bit. I have discovered there is an issue with remote access and SP 1.To give a little more info, I am in a group organizing two afterschool programs in two different churches. Each church will have 4 laptops (Win 7 SP1). I need to be able to remotely access each computer from my home at various times to provide reports on usuage, and to troubleshoot any problems. The cost to purchase a program is prohibitive, as this is a non-profit venture to assist kids in need.

I have Nas storage AirNas 350 how ro setup my network to have remote access to NAS ftp ?i have TP-LINK TL-R480T+ with two wan ports with two modems (Cabble and ADSL 2+ both with dynamic IP) also i registered on www.no-ip.com I success to go direct to ADSL modem with no-ip service but i not need that i need to access to NAS storage.Nas ftp work perfect in local network but i need remote access over tha internet. I have the 2509-RJ Access Server installed and am able to access it via telnet within my home network. However, when I try to access it remotely, it fails each time I try. I set up a domain through dyndns.org specifically for the rack, the same thing I use for RDP to access my home computer remotely. RDP uses port 3389, which I opened up in the firewall and directed that port to my computer's internet IP. I tried opening up port 23 for telnet acccess to the IP address of the access server, 192.168.1.150. I believe the problem is with the dyndns.org domain I set up. The one I use for RDP has my public IP address attached to it. I tried doing the same thing for port 23 and routing that to the access server and it fails.

No Login Pop-up For Remote Access In Windows 7 64-bit?

I work from a remote location, and use a VPN to access files on the company server. I have no problem logging into the VPN, but when using Windows 7 64-bit, I am denied access to the specific folder containing the files I need, even though I can see and open other folders on the same server.

However, if I connect from an old laptop running Windows 2000, I get a login pop-up when I click on the desired folder and after entering my username (including the remote domain name) and password I can access the files. In the newer OS, I just get a stock "access denied" message, with no option to log in. Specifically, in W7 the message is "You do not have permission to access this folder", which is nonsense.

Our IT department is baffled. How to set up W7 so it will allow me to log into the protected folder in the same way I can do it in W2K? Once logged in to the VPN itself, I use the 'run' command with the remote IP address to bring up the folders in a normal Explorer window.

Cisco VPN :: ASA 5540 - Client On Windows 7 With No Remote Access

Recently i have received one of my collegue's laptop that is running windows 7.I have installed cisco VPN client version 5.0.07.0290 on it and  VPN client appears to connect to our ASA5540, but we are unable to connect (remote desktop) to any machines on our network as it does on our XP laptops.  Furthermore, we cannot ping any as well.  Also, while connected the Windows 7 machine is still able to access internet site as if split-tunneling was configured, which its not.
 
But after some searching , i found from "routeprint" output (shown below ) that my local internet gateway is prefered over the VPN gateway which is 10.10.4.1.Here 10.10.4.19 is the IP address assigned for VPN adaptor.

But after i manually add the below route on windows 7 laptop , it started connecting to remote desktop successfully.

But aftersome time of idle state , it is again going back to original route state of prefering the local gateway of 192.168.1.2 and thus unable to connect to Remote Desktop again.

1723 / Configure VPN To Access Remote LAN Network On Windows 7?

I have two Windows7 machines (PC and laptop). I've set PC as VPN server and laptop as VPN client using default built-in W7 network tools. I've disabled use default gateway in remote network on client machine, so client don't try to route all communication through VPN. I've routed port 1723 (TCP/UDP) on NAT to my server and enabled IPSec/PPTP/L2TP passthrough

I've put my laptop in indepedent network (basically I've connected it via 3G network), connected to VPN server and checked ipconfig /all

I've get:

IP Address: 192.168.1.101
Mask: 255.255.255.255
Gateway: (none)

LAN mask in server LAN network is 255.255.255.0 - I am surely missing something obvious, but Google doesn't give me any good advices; How can I access local LAN network from remote VPN client? How can I access local shared documents?

In Homegroup. RV711 can see and access RC710 & Akoya. RC710 can see and access RV711 & Akoya. Akoya can see and access RV711. Akoya can see RC710 but not access RC710. Under Homegroup No other homegroup computers are available. In Homegroup the identical password is displayed on each PC. The Akoya is wired, the others are wireless. Summing up the Akoya cannot access the RC710.

I am running a VPN server on my desktop at home, with all the default settings, and i checked the box that allows clients to connect over the internet. this is win7 x64 computer. I opened up port 1723 with PPTP protocol on my E4200 router.On the client i am running win7 x64 as well. I am able to connect to the vpn, from another internet connection, but there is no local network acess. It says the status is No Internet Access. and the IP that is assigned is the 169.x.x.x one that windows defaults when it doesnt find a dhcp server.How can i get the client to connect with full local network access. Right now being connected to the vpn, it means nothing, i have no access other than being "connected".

It is a Satelite 733. Have pinged without any response however the wifi or hardwire will show connected to the local net.I have four other units surfing the web fine and wifi picks up ok except for one unit that my neighbor need will not connect no matter what. Have updated all the drivers, uninstalled and re-installed devices, reset ip, dumped the dns several times, etc.So here is the ipconfig stuff....ignore the cable connect I only have the wifi on at the moment. I have stared at this to the point where I know naathing .Is the tunnel adaptor the indication that the card is out? Oh and I tried taking out IPV 4 on both channels and nothing so I left one with 4 on and the other with it off just as something else to try. [code]

WNDR3400 Windows Service Can't Access Files On XP Home Network

I've been able to duplicate my problem by using another WinXp computers instead of a USB drive plugged into my router. Same exact problem. So, the bottom line is that I can access (and modify) the files across the network if I'm doing so manually, but my Windows service fails when trying to do the same thing. If I run the program through Visual Studio, it works. If I run that same exact code as a Windows service, it fails.

Linksys Access Point :: WES610N Windows Home Server Looses It's IP Requiring A Hard Reset

I have a WES610N in my office connected to a E4200 @ the cable modem in the family room.  ~30'.The connection is fine and works well when working.Connected to the WES610N I have:

-Polycom VOIP phone
-HP Mediasmart Windows Home Server
-Desktop
-Multi-Function Laser Printer
 
I have two issues. 

1) The Polycom does a random reboot that I have traced down to it loosing it's IP
2) The Windows Home Server looses it's IP requireing a hard reset.
 
I have enabled QOS for the polycom and that just worked with managing data.  However both devices seem to loose their IP regularly.  The desktop might also be having the issue but because it is Vista I suspect Vista is better equipped to deal with IP issues.

I need to connect my home pc to my office LAN, is there a way of connecting to the LAN remotely as if the pc was locally joined to the network? I don't want to connect to a specific pc just join the network itself. When I logged into the router management I thought I would be able to just specify a remote IP address that would be allowed to connect to the LAN as if it were local but there is no obvious way of doing that. I have a win xp laptop which connects via wireless to a cheap belkin router I have a Win 7 pro laptop which is hardwired to the router. The Win 7 machine is NOT set up for home groups. We are all on the same workgroup.

I have added the user name from the XP machine to the Win 7 pro machine with admin rights. I shared a folder on Win 7 and added the user name and gave read/write rights. I have no software firewall.

When I try to connect via win explorer via the workgroup I see the Win 7 machine (after 10 seconds). I see 'User' folder which I can browse and I see the folder that I shared but I can't access it. Access denied...

I have a sky router (Netgear DG834GT), which i have connected a secound router to which is a D link DIR-615 (with DD wrt firmware D4).I can get access to the sky router remotely without any issues even when changing the port number. its the Dlink router i cannot get access to remotely (within the network i can by typing in the dlink's ip address and works). Main router Sky router IP is 192.168.0.1 - Currently the port number is 8081.Secondary router Dlink IP is 192.168.0.2 (Static ip) - currently the port number is 8080.I have tried to configure the ports but it just dont want to open. Ive tried to open the ports on main netgear and tried all the option my dlink for port forwarding. i must be missing something fundametal here.
