My problem is I bought a 3.75G Modem (E353 USB Modem) from Optus the other day, and I have an old D-Link (DI-624) router I trying to hook it up to. And the thing is I am not sure to how? have the USB device plugged into a USB port and it works so far, I have an Ethernet cable going out of my 1 of 2 LAN ports my motherboard has in to the first LAN port on the router not the WAN port, as stated by other forums. This is as far as I've gone with this. I am going to buy a new router in the future , but I'd like to figure how to make it work first. Also are there any products I can buy to make it easer

My mom wants to buy my dad a Kindle Fire for Christmas. Currently they have a desktop computer with a modem plugged into it and use Verizon dsl for their internet. I have a PC modem and recently purchase a netgear N600 wireless router. Do they make a splitter of some sort. So I can use both the PC and IPad? If they make a splitter?
I'm not that great at networking, I'm pretty much a novice but I'm trying to connect a modem and router to my computer but get around bridging the modem if possible. You see, I am working with AT&T and their dsl modem access page only works for me if the modem is unbridged. If I bridge the modem, I cannot get on the page again to unbridge it while I am trying to hook up my router. When I need them to unbridge the modem, I have to stay on hold for hours. One guy even told me that he did unbridge the modem, but since my internet persisted not to work, he told me my ethernet card went bad of a sudden on my computer. I knew this was incorrect so after a few more hours on hold, I had a lady debate with me that she was not unbridging my modem since it was my ethernet card that was bad and not the bridging. Finally, laughing to herself, she unbridged the modem for me and it worked
Here is what I have: My modem is a Motorola 2210 Style: MSTATEA My router is a Linksys WRT120N

I have an old WRT54GS v6 that's sitting around collecting dust. I wondered if it's possible to plug it into the wired hub ( I have in my basement where the wireless is somewhat weak) to get the signal a bit stronger down here?I guess the operative terminology is 'wireless access point' I've found some instructions but they all say to connect the access point directly to the gateway via cat-5.. hoping I can do so with a hub. If not.. could I just switch the hub and the access point in the setup?
I buy my wifi from the rv park that I live in how do I hook up an antenna to get a stronger signal to my router. I would have wifi coming in then my network going out .
[code] I have tried to configure this setup and have had no luck, and in the proccess have learned enough about networking to be really dangerous to my equipment. Is the problem DHCP? or incorporating MAC routing with IP routing? I'm pretty sure I've managed to program one of my keyboard buttons into a World Delete Function,.
I can not connect from a remote location it connects from my home computer wirelessly but not from a remote location?(A) By default, the HTTP port on the camera is port 80. You will need to open TCP port 80 on your router to the IP address of the camera?
I formatted my new 3TB External hard drive on my computer and it shows close to 3TB space. Now when I hook it up to EA6500 router, it shows on 746.51 GB total. I have latest firmware installed.
After popping in the installation CD, the screen says hook everything up, which I do. Then click next, where it says "Searching Networks", then quickly changes to "Connecting to Network", and then it says it "Cannot Find Router.". Err. Check setup, etc.If I hook up directly to new router VIA internet cable. Also, this is strange: When I just open up a web browser and try to log into the router 192.168.1.1, using no user name, administration as the password, it won't let me in to the router. Even after I have reset the router with a pen.

My Motorola SBG901 Modem/Router combo has stopped connecting to the internet. I have done all the troubleshooting with Comcast and with Motorola and it is out of warranty, so I will have to purchase a new one.In the mean time, I wanted to use it only as a wireless router connected to my Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2 modem. Is there anyway to do this? Is there a way to disable the modem in the SBG901? Simply connecting with the ethernet cords has not worked. I connected the DPC2100 to the SBG901 via ethernet cord. My computer was able to pick up a wireless connection but there is no cable connection.
