They are (1 iMac + 1 PC) 150 feet apart both computers are wired to the router.I also have a Canon Pixma MP 560 Multifunction Inkjet printer that has the capability to be connected both wired and wireless. Right now it is only connected to the iMac via a USB connection as all 3 (router, iMac and printer) are on the same workstation.how to connect the printer so it could also support the 2nd computer a Windows PC which is located on the floor below. I was wondering if the EA3500 would support splitting the USB (buying a USB tree) to allow for both a printer and hard drive to connect at the same time?

I am trying to share my printer with the other 2 computers on my home network. I have the printer connected to my XP machine. The other 2 computers are running XP and Windows 7. The Windows 7 machine is directly connected to the router and my computer and the other XP computer are connected wirelessly.I've shared my printer and given it a share name. But the other 2 computers cannot access my computer for some reason.I'm not sure why they can't access my computer to see the shared printer.

Have three computers ( 2 are XP one is vista) connected via wireless router one computer is considered a host computer sitting on a docking station which has the printers connected to it. In the beginning once everything was connected we could print from any computer wireless, then one day we had a power outage and for some reason we can only print from the host computer. How to get the other computers back online to print. All computers are still able to connect to the internet via wireless router (Linksys E1000) but not able to print except the host which is directly connected to the printers.

Everything was working fine, and various computers, tablets, and even my smartphone, all hooked up to my router without any problems. Somehow, this week, first my Asus U56E wouldn't connect (before all this it was automatic), and then my Google chromebook wouldn't connect either. The Asus is my main computer. And the reason for writing. I just mention the chromebook because they both quit connecting at same time, pretty much. But still my old xp netbook connects, as does my new google nexus7 tablet. And my nexus one phone. All hook to wifi, with no problem.I tried everything I could think of: This is a Dlink Dir615 router. Even set a new wireless network up, but it doesn't seem to connect. I ran the Windows Network Diagnostics, and it reset everything, and looked like it was fixing it, but no go. It said to investigate router or access point issues. I did what it said, and what has always worked with these problems. Turned off router for about 1/2 minute, then restarted it. Then did the same with the Cox motorola modem, *and* the router, but still, just doesn't want to connect. Wireless, that is...no problem with ethernet. Finally pushed the little pin in in the back of router, and reset the router entirely. Set all up again. Same thing happens, it just doesn't seem to recognize these two computers. So just to be sure, I used my nexus one as a wifi point: and these computers hook up fine, so it seems to be something with the router. My ISP is Cox. Cable. Router D-Link Dir 615, latest firmware. Modem Cox issue Motorola Surfboard. Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials, and Win7 Firewall (I tried with these two turned off, but still no).I include the xirrus app's output...My wireless network on that app is 'phubai' and that is the one that won't connect. I had trouble bringing it up on Xirrus, too. It would only show when I would attempt to connnect, then it would disappear again.

I have been searching the net for a hub of some sort for a home office. I need it to be able to support printers. It needs to be a wireless router and have a data storage which can be accessed by multiple computers. Like a backup. But the main thing im worried about is if it can be protected by antivirus and stuff.

I have and 880 W router. The LAN members can get out t o the internet. Now I want to configure NAT such that outside computers can access a couple of the machines using Remote Desktop (RDP). I am using Configuration Professional.
When I configure inside to outside, the remote computers can't connect to the target machines. When I configure outside to inside, the target machines acn't get to the internet.
When I try to use the advanced NAT definition wizard, I can't complete the task because the only inside pool (?) or LAN (?) is "designated" and not available to select. I can't free it up without deleting the one working NAT entry which is the one that enables all computers to reach the internet.

I used a Belkin router for internet connection and connected to printer via ethernet cable. Belkin had frequent disconnects to internet, so I decided to use my D-Link DIR-655 router from another home. While it works well for internet, it will no longer connect with my printer, either via ethernet or wirelessly. I must carry my laptops to the printer and us a USB cable to get printouts. I am planning on moving to a Verizon 'hot-spot' and eliminate the routers completely soon and will maybe have this same issue. How can I resolve this matter?

I've been trying to connect my downstairs PC (No wireless Card) to my upstairs Wi-Fi printer through my Wi-Fi router and have not been able to do it, even after reading and resetting my printer's network card as directed by Brother's tech support 4 times.Actually, that's not true once I WAS able to access the printer's online Interface and change a few settings, but when it came time to submit my settings, everything just froze and I wasn't able to access the interface afterwards. (see my setup below) Here's the result of the first attempts (Node Type and IP Address are NOT good)IP range NOT good 169.254.x.x .Second and temporarily successful attempt (Node Type and IP Address are good) IP Range IS good 192.168.x.x.I know it would be easier to simply buy a Wi-Fi network card for my PC but I would rather learn how to do this manually.
