My internet connction gets disconnected with in 1 hour . local area connection shows packets reciev and sent are in millions in 10 minuts . do i have a virus ?? or becouse of bytes sent and resived so much my internet gets disconnected. after disabling and reanabling my local area connection i can again use my net for some time.
My internet's falling out every half an hour, I'm having this problem for a long time and I'm getting really annoyed by it. It's always out for an average of 3 seconds. The reason this is annoying is because I'm a gamer and these dropouts cause me getting kicked for being unable to connect and such.
my WAG160Nv2 drops the connection each day at the same hour (4:20pm to 4:40pm aprox.)I think that is because my ISP don't give me a static IP address and the connection must dropped once a day. in my old router I could put the time for the drop. I don't find something similar in the WAG160Nv2.
I know the problem lies in the timeout for the default inspection rules. I cannot find where to change this.I have nat statements for 1 to 1 nat to my polycom and tandberg video devices. I have set the firewall for the ouside to in rules to inspect all. This allows the devices to communicate with public addresses, but the video calls drop after 1 hour. How do I change the settings so this does not happen. I have tried setting the rule to allow instead of inspect, but when I do this, I have no access at all. I just want to nat 1 to 1 and allow all traffic to the nated devices. I know this is not secure but it is the only way to allow h323 through to let the video conferencing devices work.
My internet stops approx in 10 min fo start of pc to an hour at times.Am not able to connect to router too.I have a wireless router and the PC is connected with a wire. The internet is not at fault as I can use the router @ laptop. Was on windows 7 Ultimate and all was working finer till 2 days ago. I thought May be I shoudl do a reinstall and installed my old and trusted win xp.Still its here. The win xp is completely updated and up to mark. I cannot even connect to the router 192 address when the internet stops.I have already changed dns to open dns. I remember that in windows 7 it used to show some dns /ip error , when I woudl trouble shoot at times and thus using open dns on router. Nothing working, and am going mad[CODE]
I've noticed this in the last few days, but my internet seems to crash at the exact same time (29 past the hour) every hour. We've recently had a new modem in, and was working fine. I recently had a mass clearout of a lot of things in my PC (got rid of 500 gigs), so I'm wondering whether I may have deleted something which has caused this.
my internet cuts out every hour or so for 5-7 minutes. i have a linksys router and a Motorola modem. i am connected through the router into my modem. It is very annoying cause in the middle of playing my video games, i loose connection and i loose a bunch of stuff.
My previous connections are : (1st) 100Mbps ISP connection, (2nd) 200Mbps ISP connection (fibre to home)
Before upgrade, my RV-042 worked very stable.
After using Migration Tools by exporting RV-042 current config and converted to V3 configuration, the converted configuration was imported to RV-042G.
In beginning, RV-042G woks fine after imported converted configuration file. Unfortunately, after around 1 hour of use, my iPad (through an Apple Airport Extreme Station) and wired PC could not browse internet.
But, port-forward to 3 IP-cam still be able to access by my iPhon4 through Carrier 3G connections.
After a reboot of RV-042G, internet connection comes back. But, after an hour of use, the same issue happened again.
RV-042G makes me fluctuated. I will fallback to RV-042 from now on and wait for any further firmware improvement from Cisco/Linksys.
My previous RV-042 and current RV-042G config:-
* WAN1 : 100Mbps ISP connection * WAN2 : 1Gbips ISP connection ( 200Mbps max throughput) * LAN1 : connected to Apple Airport Extreme * LAN2 : connected to Linksys 16-port FastEthernet switch * LAN3 : idle * LAN4 : connected to an Intel i7 PC * Dual WAN link mode with bandwidth management, all internet connection from PC will stick on WAN2
I have a problem with an internet connection with a customer. They have a Zyxel 660 in bridge mode and the public ip is delivered to the eth0/0 outside interface of a 5505 ASA.They lose internet connectivity a couple of times per hour. What solves the problem immediately is disconnecting the ethernet cable from the eth0/0 and then directly plugging it back. Then it runs for 20-30 minutes or so.The isp doesnt't notice any errors on the dsl connection, only that they cannot ping the outside interface from time to time (duhhh)However, yesterday, when problem appeared for first time , I noticed that this Zyxel was very hot since it was placed on top of the ASA. Now it is set apart. In the meantime I already replaced all cables, but I think it's the Zyxel so I urged that the ISP send a new Zyxel.Though it sounds strange. [code]
I have a modem and connected to the modem is my wifi box. I have 9 computers using the wifiWhat happens is the internet connection just drops for ALL the computers at the same time even though ALL the computers signal strength is excellentI have to reset the wifi box and then all the computers are back onlineThis can happen 2 or 3 times an hour or sometimes I can go 2 hours or so
My Dir-655 sometimes seems to forget it is now DST. Just now the routers time was 8:07 but the real clock time was 9:07. This is the 3rd time this has happened and when it does it messes up access controls. If it can't keep the right time the access controls for me are useless. Clicking save settings gets the time set back to what it should be. How can I stop this nonsense.
we noticed that every six hours, our all servers in a VLAN disconnects/disappears from the network for a time of 10-20 secs and it comes online immediately. It impacts the performance of the application for a moment.
We use CISCO router com Switch and Checkpoint firewall to access those servers. The issue is not every six hour, it is every sixth hour from its previous instance. Eg) if it 9 am in the morning then it happens somewhere around 3:01 pm in the afternoon and again 9:02 pm in the night.
There is no DHCP allocation or server in our environment. All ip address used are static.
specially, what could be set to action every six hour ?
Have a problem with Wi-Fi, and going to work on this computer over the weekend. So before I get my hands on it, hoping to get some suggestions on how to get it done. The time for a fix will be limited. Wi-Fi always disconnects after about 1 hour of connection to a Wi-Fi hotspot under Windows 7 via Bootcamp. These Wi-Fi drops happen in every hotspot (fast food, hotel, other free Wi-Fi) so far.Works without drops when connected to same Wi-Fi hotspots in Mac OSX 10.x.Even works in Windows 7 when using own, separate Verizon 4G mobile hotspot, model MIFI 4510L. But again not when connected to the hotel hotspots/routers.Loses Wi-Fi connection after about an hour when on regular Wi-Fi (via router/hotspot). Happens on different Wi-Fi networks in different places -- same problem.Checked online and saw lots of people having Wi-Fi disconnection problems in Windows 7 on Mac Books (Pro and Air). Also saw people having lots of disconnection problems with just Windows 7 (without a Mac).
What makes Verizon 4G hotspot so different from other hotspots? Is it protocols? Different encryption? Something else?Obviously I can't change the settings on the routers (as they are the establishment's and are different in every place). I can only change something locally on the laptop itself.I have very limited amount of time to apply any fixes I can think of. About 1 hour; 1 and a half max. I know that it's not best for trying to troubleshoot it, but that's all I have this week to work on it. In a few weeks I might have more time to spend with it. Laptop may have Hide My Ass Pro VPN proxy installed. Can't verify at the moment. OSX has it for sure. Windows side -- not positive. But switching it off will be the first thing I'll try. What steps to try to undertake and in which order. Any way to monitor the connection live and see what caused the disconnect? Say a live or recorded log of network card and router communication? Reinstall drivers? Any better drivers available for it? The Wireless card is called Airport officially. But if remember correctly it is: Broadcom BCM43xx.
My DSC-930L's web interface becomes unresponsive about an hour or two after power cycling my camera. It still responds to pings, and it still sends images to FTP when it detects motion, but I can't log into it via web interface, mydlink, or the iphone app. Power cycling the camera fixes the problem for an hour or so but then its right back to not working again.
I have the DIR-655 rev B1 with 2.03NA firmware. After 7 days the system time falls back an hour. The timezone settings are correct and I have used both 0.us.pool.ntp.org and DLink's time servers.
My computer is on a direct connection with a docsis 3 modem - with service provided by Comcast. I had no problems with the internet for about a month after signing up with Comcast at 6Mbps. Then out of no where the internet began to drop out whenever in use. When the computer is connected to the internet, and I am not actually using "bandwidth" the connection stays connected, all day with no blips. But when I try to access Youtube or some other site they demands bandwidth it drops out. Comcast has sent out 7-8 Techs to troubleshoot the issue to no avail. They have replaced the modem 3 times, the ethernet cable (is that the right word?) has been replaced, and Comcast cut holes into my walls to re-wire the entire building. I just had a guy leave from Comcast, and when he hooked up his laptop to this modem he had absolutely no problem. Then he hooked up a router, and we both used direct connect to get on the internet, and as long as his computer was connected the signal was strong with no blips. We removed his computer and the connection dropped within a few minutes. Comcast says they have verified the integrity of all their equipment, cables, splitters, main line, ect...I even tried backing up my machine and reformatting it and I still have the same issue. I've always been good about not getting virus or spyware. I have no idea why only my PC won't stay connected to the internet. Oh, also the Comcast tech hooked up a meter to the cable line and he says when the internet drops out on my end that the cable signal is still strong with no blips. When the modem goes out all the lights drop out and it has to re-identify, then it comes back up for a few minutes, only to spiral down and disconnect.
I live in an apartment, and I have a usb adapter that allows me to get on the internet wirelessly. The apartment I am at has a club house that offers free internet to people here who don't have it. If I plug in my adapter I can get a signal from the club house's wireless, and I can connect to that, and I have no problems at all on the apartments club house internet, only on my direct connect form my Comcast modem..
Region : India Model : TL-MR3020 Hardware Version : V1 Firmware Version : 3.14.2 Build 120817 Rel.55520n ISP : BSNL India
I bought this device yesterday, I am using this device with BSNL's EVDO (cdma network). It detects my modem fine, and it connects fine, and I can browse.Exactly at 50th min(few seconds difference), my net gets disconnected.I have tried all modes, connect manually, automatically, on demand -- nothing solves the concern.Changed idle timeout to 0.The device when connected directly works fine for more than 12 hours.Updated firmware to the latest 3.14.2 Build 120817 Rel.55520n.Tried Resetting the Router to factory defaults and configured again.Tried all troubleshooting steps from FAQ as in change it to WEP security, connect manually, idle timeout setting. Most importantly, tried creating a BIN file using USB sniffer and used it, even then its the same issue.
I have just configured a new RV016. Everything works well for about an hour then it shuts off. Cycling the power will cause the system led to light breifly, but then it shuts off again. After 15 minutes unplugged, I am able to restart it and it will run fine for about an hour.
I have a client that I recently replaced their GSS's for and last evening I cut them over to an HA pair of ACE 4700's. After about an hour, it looks like the GSS and ACE stopped communicating with each other. When this happened, they switched back over to the old CSS appliances and everything came back up fine. Apparently this happened the last time they tried to cutover to the ACE and they contacted TAC. TAC told them the issue happened because the GSS's they were running at the time were EOL. So now, with brand new GSS's, they are experiencing the same issue.
As of now, the ACE's are offline and I cannot get into them to see what the issue may be. We tested the sites out last night after the cutover and everything seemed fine. There was one minor problem that I resolved quickly, but that was it and then we left. The client started getting emails about an hour later about their main website being down. They do have the ACE logging to a syslog server, so we will look at that to see if there is anything relavent. I suggested that we bring up a test site to use through the GSS/ACE and see what happens. They have another CSS that they can run their sites through, so this option will work without taking down all of their other sites.
So the best way to explain this is if im on the internet i wont really notice it because it happens so fast and im on the page. also its wireless internet. If i play for example league of legends il be fine then il be reconnecting then im back but the reason im reconnecting is because my connection dropped for a second.IF i open say an online game and i open a stream watching someone. Either the stream will turn off or the game will disconnect or ill get kicked from both.Ive gone into command prompt and done ping google.com and stuff sometimes its perfect then i do it again it misses 2 with time out then i do again its perfect then again time out again time out then perfect its really annoying.I recently started playing a new game and il be running then disconnect from the servers because my connection dropped for a second and ive rang bt and stuff have 2 new hubs. switch phone lines replaced filters still dont know whats going on.
I have an ADSL 2+ connection that constantly seems to be dropping at random intervals for no particular reason that i can tell anywhere from 3 to 20 times a day for over 6 months.I have a Dlink DIR-300 router which connects hard 2 pcs and a wirless connection that host for 4 devices , the Router is connected to my Dlink DSL-502T Gen 2 ADSL 2+ Router.I'm constantly having to disconnect the power wait 5 minutes and reconnect the power to get everything back online. From what i can tell the main problem is the DIR-300 router, ive checked it has the latest firmware, reset the router from factory, tested it with less connections, called up my ISP and checked everything was good on there end but to no avail[CODE]
I just bought WRT54GH router. I have one PC (running Ubuntu) connected via Wireless.Every 5-10 minutes I get disconnected for a short period of time (about 10-30 seconds). During that period I am able to access router configuration page, but can't connect to the "outer" world... Surely it's not about my Internet provider, since connecting the PC directly to the Internet cable works fine with no "disconnections".
i just setup an RV220W as my home router. Everything connected fine, etc. however, one of my wireless devices (it's a security camera) disconnects after 1 hour. I am able to reconnect the device if I either reboot it, reboot the RV220, or disable / re-enable the Port Forwarding rule I've established for it. Other wireless and wired devices do not have any issues. In the past, I had this same camera working for over two years over wireless while it was connected to a Linksys E2000 router. I enabled the logs on the RV220W last night, and the error message that I receive is: secureBit not set in GTK Msg2. I've got the same SSID on the RV220 that I had on the E2000, same port forwarding, same MAC address client list, etc. Like I said, none of my other wireless or wired devices disconnect at all, just this camera, which worked flawlessly until I switched routers.
One of my 7921 phones disconnect ten time an hour and during conversations. Sometimes, people who call on this phone are redirected to the answer message. This phone is connected through WIFI network and Cisco Callmanager 4.2 manage all phones (we have about 80 phones on the network). I thought it was a problem with the phone but I exchange with another one and it's exactely the same problem. The problem is just for a line in particular. All the 7921g phones in my company are configured from mac address in the call manager. This problem occured after a storm but I'm not really sure that it's related to.
My router drops my internet connection at least once a day. When the router does this, my wireless network connection disappears from the network list. I have to disconnect router from plug and plug it back in to work again. If I hard-wire laptop to router or modem, I still do not get internet unless I unplug and re-plug router.
I have tested internet speed on Ethernet (~20 Mbps), but when I'm connected via wifi network, it drops down to ~11 ? The speed is same on all wireless devices even when I sitting next to the wifi router.
an issue with my modem (i think) I currently cannot get an Internet connection on my computers via wifi for some reason iv tried resetting it but it seems to pick up all the PC's and then 5 minutes later it just drops out which is annoying cause it says that the modem is still receiving Internet and were not getting it iv also tried a new router but the same issue and the speed of Internet is basically halfed what do I do iv tried heaps but it's just ******* me off now
In the past week I have been getting totally random disconnects from my modem. Sometimes it works great, other times it will essentially cease to function as it tries to sync to bells lines, it seems to be worse at night from what I've seen. I have called my ISP over 4 times, had 3 separate techs come to my house and replace everything from the router to the Internet port down the road. The only thing that has not been replaced is the actual phone jack in my wall but every tech has looked at it and said its functioning fine. I am at a loss, and on the verge of canceling my service with my ISP at this point. Problem is I cannot get rogers for various reasons, so bell is my only option for high speed internet, so canceling with them sorts leaves me high and dry.
This issue has been going on for a few weeks now, i will be using the internet and it will suddenly drop out. My computer is connected to my router, this connection is fine it is just the INTERNET connection that drops out. When this happens all of the computers on the network are affected.
