I have successfully connected my vpn to my central point and 2 branches.My branch can see central and visa versaMy problem is that i can't see from my 1 branch the other branch.
My central has RVS4000 and my branches has WRV200.How can i be able to access from my branch1 PC, my branch2 PC and visa versa
I'm trying to setup a VPN Tunnel between RV082 and WRV200.The RV082 has an static IP, the WRV200 has a dynamic IP. I have to Dyndns.org in the WRV200.I have setup the RV082 tunel auth like: Dynamic IP + email.In the WRV200 I setup the hostname with the username, and the domain with the domain part of domain entered in the RV082.In the RV082 VPN Log I got: Initial Aggressive Mode message from 11.22.33.44 but no (wildcard) connection has been configured.It seems to be working the IPSEC setup but the RV082 does not accept the connection because of a missmatch in the Remote Security Gateway Type parameter in the RV082.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOk on my new PC,,OS is windows xp..I works fine..connect to pppoe and can surf internet perfectly.But on my old pc,,it can only succesfully connect to wan miniport pppoe but cant surf the internet..its OS is Windows Vista home Prem.The old pc was my first pc(notebook) and last time I used it was on 2009..it was using Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller connection and I forgot what modem I used..but now I bought TP-link TD-W8901G and I use for ADSL connection.My new pc works fine because it was setup proffesionaly by my friend..it also still needs Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller connection to connect ADSL Wan Miniport PPPoE..but I repaired my old pc too late..and he didnt configured it..so I setup myself..all the PPPoE adsl connections.And so its succesfully connected to WAN miniport PPPoE..but I can surf the internet..The old pc also needs Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller connection for me to connect ADSL Wan Miniport PPPoE..but all that was succesfull.
View 6 Replies View Related1. Just got a new DLINK Xtreme N DIR-825 Router. Directly connected this to the internet.
2. Currently, the Linksys WRT54G (1st Generation) is connected to the DLINK by an Ethernet cable to one of the 4 ports on the back.
3. The Linksys further splits the signal to another 2 computers and a NAS by hardwire.
4. The internet is still getting through to all the computers, but the computers are not able to access the NAS or each other.
5. I can't seem to open the WRT54G's access (192.168.1.1) because (I thin) the new DLINK uses a local set of IPs that are 192.168.0.1xx.
I can login to the NAS using its IP, and I can see it on the 'Network Places' of the computers ,but when I try to connect, it says the drive is moved, etc. etc.I use a variety of computers / O.S's on this system: XP (2) hardwired, Win 7 (2) hard wired, Win 7 (1) wireless, Mac OS X Snow Leopard (1) Wireless, plus various other wireless devices (phones,Wii, etc.).
NAS is a Synology DS411+
1) Get logged into my Linksys
2) Get the NAS accepted by other computers on the network.

I bought a cisco 881 router exactly like the one I had . It was configured the same way but cannot get connected to internet.The new router settings do not have an NAT on it, my IT guy turned it on through the console port and we till cannot get it to work?

I can ping the RV042 and log into the administration page and make changes. However, I can not see other computers on the remote network. I can not ping them. When I open my Network page, I still see the computers on my local network.
All machines are running Windows 7 Ultimate. ISP is Comcast at both locations. WAN IP's are dynamic, but have not changed in over a year. Local IP's on the remote (home) network are static..[url]....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a E2000 as a wireless access point to the Internet, by connecting the LAN of the E2000 (set for x.x.x.5) to the LAN of an RVS4000 (Set for x.x.x.1). The E2000 is set for Automatic Configuration, and everything works fine..... Until a power failure occurs... Then, after everything boots up again.. I get the "NO INTERNET" prompt on the wireless....
By using Ping Plotter, from a computer on wireless end, and another computer with Ping Plotter on the wired side of the x.x.x.1 LAN, I've determined that it's the E2000 that has disconnected from the RVS4000.
I have found a work-around, though....No matter How the setting boots up, If I toggle away from and then BACK TO: NAT DISABLED in Advanced Routing, Everything is back operational..... Until the next Power Failure....
Is there any way of making this Automatic.
In another forum, there was a suggestion of putting the E2000 in Bridge mode in WAN settings... I can't find it....
I have a Linksys WRT120N with two desktops connected via wired connections.In the house, there are two students accessing the Internet through WiFi via the WRT120N.One of the laptops (on an Apple laptop) seems to lose its' connection from time to time.The other laptop (Lenovo) is located the furthest distance from the router and only gets two bars signal strength.Would my best option to improve the signal strength for the Lenovo laptop and hopefully, also increase reliability for the Apple laptop be to purchase a new router such as a Linksys E1500 with speed boost or would it be best to try a Linksys range extender (RE1000)?

I can access the internet by Ethernet in the family room just fine.What I want to do is use a WRT31N as a switch in my family room so I can connect Mulitple Ethernet devices to the network. I'm having a hard time doing this. How to set up the linksys router? The airport extreme ip address is 10.0.1.1. I tried setting the linksys to 10.0.1.2 and turning off dhcp, but didn't work.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been using a WRT150N wireless router successfully up until a couple days ago, when it stopped being detected. I can plug my computer directly to my modem, and it works, so my internet connection is fine. I have an older BEFW11S4 router that I am using currently, but it is very slow compared the the N router. I've tried resetting the 150N router, and also the modem, and combinations of both, but nothing seems to work. I plugged the router into my computer without connecting the modem, but I'm not able to access 192.168.1.1 either. All the lights illuminate when the router is plugged in.
View 9 Replies View RelatedNo matter what I do, whenever I enter the Web Interface for my E4200, the page comes up in Russian (at least I think it is russian!!)! I have changed the language to English (by trial and error discovered it was the first option at the top of the pull-down list) many times and yes, selected save at the bottom of the Setup page. I get the message back "Your settings have been successfully saved".But next time I go in, it is back to either Russian or sometimes some other wierd script, and I have to reselect English.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a big house so I have a e4200 on one end of the house upstairs and the WAP610n on the other end downstairs linked via CA6. I am having no issues with Laptops etc..just with Apple devices. I spent a lot of time with chat support (waste of time). WAP was flashed with latest firmware via hard wire no devices connected to wireless, has same ssid and security settings as router running on 2.4 ghz wpa2 personal AES. I am using 2.4 due to iphone4 does not support 5ghz and wap does not support dual band (another bummer). I am using AES instead of TKIP/AES mixed mode due to apple devices will not acquire dhcp with this setting and if they do they lose it right away. I have tried everything imaginable with the settings even changed beacon to 75, 50 RTS to 2304 etc...the current setting are the only ones that seem to work the best however when i run speedtest.net LA server or SD server the performance is horrible. On windows laptop i can achieve 27mbps down 2.5mbpsup, my apple devices use to achieve very close numbers to that on a simple configuration with two Dlink DGL-4300's one as router one as AP (G mode). So two major issues i have noticed is WAP610N has issues passing DHCP to apple devices and has extremely poor performance. So my question is will there be a firmware to correct this issue or a new hardware version that i can exchange this for if I RMA it or would it be best to call it a day and just get a E3200 and use it as a real simultaneous dual band AP???

I did the firmware update on the router, E4200, about 2 weeks ago so my son could use his xbox when he got home after 4 months of being away. Everything seemed to work OK as far as I could tell....but when he went to sign into xbox live and watch Netflix, it will load to 98% and stop. A friend of his came over with the new Slim xbox 360 with built in wireless and it will connect fine on its own, if we hook up one of the 610N's to it, it will load to 98% on Netflix and stop again with error code R8152. Both of my older xbox's will hook up and play on xbox live, just not work with Netflix.I also noticed, it shows the WET610N as a hard wire on xbox and will not search for any wireless networks, I have 2. The newer Slim xbox360 will search out both networks on its own if you allow it to use its internal wireless. This only happened since the firmware update.

I guess I want it to act as a wireless NIC for the desktop while also operating as a repeater. Is this possible? If not, will one of the other AP settings like Bridge allow the wired connection to connect to the other side of the network and give wireless access to wireless devices? I work at a small business that has an exisiting wired network. Our setup is: Internet > ISP Box > DHCP Server > Switch > Users. I have been attempting to add a wireless router to the network to enable our shop techs to wirelessly access our file computer. I have managed to get the wireless working, but the network was not visible, I could not access any network computers from the wireless, and I could not access the wireless router from our main server. After this I screwed up the settings completely and even a wired connection to the router couldn't connect to the internet. Now I have purchased a WAP54G, but I forsee the same problems when I go to config everything tomorrow.

I have the repeater's MAC address in the AP and it's set to "Access Point + WDS" mode. I don't know what I could be doing wrong. Is it a conflict of DHCP on the AP vs static on the repeater?

I'm usually in another room and connect via wifi with other devices. Internet speeds over wifi are fine, but speeds are too slow when transferring files from wifi devices to other computers (windows file sharing).
I'm thinking of running a cable through a wall from the wrt54gl room to the other room and connecting a small N router, in access point mode. I'd then connect to the N access point and, through it, to the main router and other devices in the network.All wifi devices can run N.
Are there any issues in doing this? Anything I should know about configuring this? From other questions, it's not clear if I should use the same SSID for both routers. For that matter, should I turn off wifi on the wrt54gl?
I have a old Cisco/linksys router that I want to do a complicated setup with.Heres my current situation.I currently have my computer and laptop linked into my home network over wireless as running a cable to the hub gets in the way of other door ways, But when playing networked games i run the cable as its only for a short time and people can cope with that,However I have recently gotten into minecraft server hosting, and I have previously just Run two cables to the main hub so I can host the server on my desktop and play on my laptop.So here is where is gets complicated.I found my old router and set it up as a central hub for my room, with the laptop and desktop going into that, then one cable going to the hub,However, I am spending alot of time messing around on the server and would like some way for me to connect to the server from my laptop without having to go though the central hub, just using this sub router. But I still want my IP to stay the same when i reconnect to the main network so when my brother and other friends want to play I can connect to the main network and host over that without having to change my server settings for the new IP.

MY ISP is AT&T. I have their Westell DSL modem, with a bridged connection to a Linksys wireless router. The router is connected via ethernet to a dead computer: a 7 year-old Dell desktop that will boot up but shut down right away. I have been able to connect multiple laptops wirelessly to this network. I thought an ethernet connection was required in a home network such as mine? The cable has been plugged into a dead computer for several months and frankly I'd like to get rid of the desktop. What exactly is the ethernet requirement - just to be plugged into a port? Could I theoretically just yank the ethernet card out of the desktop and use it instead of the whole dead system?
