Feb 2, 2012I have been using a Linksys E3000 router for a few months now. Love it. But this last week, when ever I wake my monitor up after it's power saving mode kicks in, I lose my internet connection for about 15 seconds. If you look at the router before the monitor is on, I am connected. The light is on for port 1. But as soon as my monitor gets turned back on, it light just turns off and will reconnect after about 15 seconds. I've looked it up online and can only find things about when the entire system wakes up, and usually those people have to reboot their entire system to get a connection again, or turn the router off then back on. Using Windows 7?

Every hour or so it loses its PPPoE connection to the internet, so that both wired and wirelessly connected computers lose access. My laptop is also thrown entirely off the wireless network all together.

Oct 16, 2011I have a WAG160N with firmware V1.00.16 (version 1 device).The router is connected via ethernet to my main iMac running Lion 10.7.2, although the issue's I'm having have occurred for some time before upgrading to Lion or its's latest update.Firstly, devices I connect to the router wirelessly such as my iPad and iPhone will allow me to use the internet on said devices for about ten minute then the internet will simply stop. The device is shown as connected (checking the wifi settings on iPad etc show the router is still seen). If I switch WI-FI off on the device, then back on, internet is restored. It's not an internet provider issue as I can use the net all day on my ethernet-connected iMac without a problem.My printer is connected to my iMac via USB and shared with other devices. It is seen on my Macbook which connects wirelessly via the router. If I try to print from the macbook, the print job will not progress until I re-start the router. Likewise, there are applications that I sync between my ipad and iMac via iTunes with my mac connected via the USB cable. The iPad will not bee seen by the iMac unless I re-start the router. My Apple TV will only sync wirelessly with the iMac if I re-start the router.

When I watch HULU through the player it kills the entire internet connection for all PCs. I have to unplug the router in order to restart it. Everything will also work just fine until the next crash.Here's the thing, I'll watch a bit of the show and see the commercials and the router will only crash when it comes back to the show. If I watched 100 commercials they would not crash, but as soon as it returns to the show CRASH. Restart and we watch again.

Mar 26, 2013I have a Cisco WRT120N Router and a Cisco Valet AM10 wireless adapter. Almost every time the computer reboots, I loose my network and I have to redo the AM10 setup. The AM10 is the only device that loses the connection, my lap top and printer do not lose the connection.
Problem 2: Everytime I upplug and replug the AM10 a window pops up saying I need to check the drive for errors but none
are found.
Problem 3: I downloaded the AM10 install program, Downloadable.Setup.AM10.1.2.10148.2. It does not work. If I try to run it Iget an error message that the setup canot be completed and to call in for support.
Problem 4: When I can get it working is shows that it is Wireless Connection 5. Why 5 and not 1? Where are the other 4?

Feb 24, 2013I do love your products and I am not just sucking your *beep*, but could you please update the firmware on this modem (DPC 3008). There are a lot of people that are having issues with losing their internet connection when it comes to this modem. It doesn't matter who the ISP is, doesn't matter what we try to do to fix this. I read somewhere that after you updated the firmware in 2011 on this modem is when your customers starting having issues. Now I just bought this modem a few weeks ago so I don't know for sure. All I can say is if this issue doesn't get resolved, I am going to smash the *beep* out of it and never recommend your products to anyone as well as never purchase another product from you. I like you I really do, but I am tried of losing my internet connection when I am playing my games or watching movies. People have stated that they removed your modem for a different brand and their issues were resolved. I am giving you a chance to show me that you value your customers and you will resolve this issue in a timely manner

Nov 3, 2012I recently moved from an old apartment in Downtown Montreal, to a suburb area, but still close to where I was before (10 km). I am using the same ISP provider, Videotron. The same speed. I was playing this game, Chivalry Medieval warfare, perfectly fine before, but now something is really wrong. Whenever I join a server, my ping skyrockets up to close to 200, sometimes drifting to 130 but never going below... and often rising back up again.Keep in mind that I filter servers by their pings. I only join servers that display a low ping (although often I won't see any, when I refresh.. there they are). I'll see a server with 30 ping, join it, and be at 200.It's entirely unplayable. Not only is it impossible to properly time parries anymore, but I also get a lot of rubberbanding. I've tested the internet here, and the speeds are accurate. 10 mbps down, 1 mbps up. I am connected to a Linksys E1200 router. I've tried everything I can possibly think of.I went into the router setup, disabled the firewall, added myself to a DMZ, tried to forward every port... rebooted the modem, my computer, the router, tried a different Ethernet cable.. nothing is working. It's very depressing. Nothing has changed on my own computer in the move. I also notice there is a delay of a second or so before I start to load a webpage when I click a link.

Sep 27, 2012I got a new router, a Cisco Linksys EA3500, and everything works fine and no one else in my family notices anything. Everything works and I don't have trouble accessing the internet and I always get 5 bars, but whenever I play a game online it will disconnect me after a while. Sometimes it disconnects me after 5 minutes and sometimes after 30 minutes. The only games I play are Arma 2 and Garry's mod and I have the same problem with both games. The weird thing is that I talk to friends on steam when we are playing and it doesn't get disconnected I can hear them fine, and my internet access bar at the lower right doesn't say I'm disconnected. Streaming and downloading work as well. I have no idea what to do, we got a new router because the old one was faulty and we called our isp and they said there was nothing wrong on their end it.

Mar 18, 2012I have had no problems with my WRt610N fo 2 years. Yesterday a problem occured and today again. Namely, I opened my laptop (the lid) and suddenly it could not see my network (SSID) among the rest of the neighbouring ones. The WiFi indicator in the tray showed the yellow "!". Since I have another (secondary) router wired to the primary (WRT610N) I tried and succeeded to connect to it (same SSID, but type "g").
Today the same situation. This is the straneg thing - if I 1st connect to the "g" router after a while the WIn7 reports my SSID being of type "gn" meaning it now sees the primary WRT610N. If I switch off the secondary the netowork is maintained by the primary router showing "n". It seems like my laptop cannot see my router (but can see all other networks) until it 1sr connects to the secondary, and afterwards it sees the primary router and can stay with it.

Mar 2, 2012I have had numerous issues with my E3000 since I got about two months ago and they have all been resolved with the exception of this new one that popped up today.
My Samsung Blu-ray player is connected firectly via ethernet cable to the router. When it's on, I lose all conenctivity to the router with my wireless devices including three PC's, a PS3, two iPhones, one iPad, one Samsung Smart TV, one XBOX 360 and an Onkyo Receiver. When I say that I lose connectivity, I don't mean that I lose access to the Internet. My PC's see the network but cannot connect to it, the same goes for the Apple devices. The moment I shut off the Samsung BD player it kicks right back on and works normally. Until today, this never occurred.
I contacted Tech Support and they had never heard of this happening before. They suggested that I change the ethernet cable which I did while the unit was on and it worked until I turned the BD player off and turned it back on again. I also tried switching ports to no avail. Alos all of the software is up to date on both the router and the BD player.

I have loaded the latest firmware to the E1550.Lose Internet but wireless connectivity to router exists.Internet light on modem is out (modem is connected to router)Unplug modem and leave off plug in, internet light is still out.Unplug router, plug router back in - no internet connection but do have wireless connectivity to router.Take cable from modem to router and plug directly into PC internet light comes on in modem and I have internet from PC.Take cable from PC and plug back into router .I have internet via wireless.What I can't figure out is what could be happening in router that would impact modem internet connection. I have replicated this at least 3 times. Yes, the modem is a bit old, but since plugging it directly into the PC works, I'm thinking it has to be the router and I cannot figure out why unless there's some sort of electrical thing going on in the router.

Dec 9, 2012I have 2 laptops and 1 desktop all connected to the same router, the 2 laptops are connected via wifi and the desktop PC is currently connected via an Ethernet cable, both laptops run windows 7 while the desktop runs windows XP and more or less every time the desktop is booted after a few minutes of normality connection to the internet is lost and the yellow triangle on windows 7 appears so to fix this I have to go into my routers settings via 192.168.1.1 and reboot which then solves the problem and all machines function as they should including the desktop.

Mar 26, 2012I own a E1000 router that I use with several wireless machines. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the configuration of the router by typing url...in a browser, be it wireless or weirdly. For example, Firefox displays "Connection has been reinitialized". Furthermore, when I launch Cisco Connect, it only shows the error "Unable to connect to router". I tried to switch my router off and on, but that doesn't work. Totally resetting the router solves the problem, but not definitely.Is there a solution that does not require resetting my router?
