Recently we bought HP laserjet network printer which is connected to the domain network with the ip range of 10.1.1.1 which is the same network linksys router is connected to. Since router always lease different range of ip (192.168.1.1) then all computers connected through router cannot print because they are in different network/ip range.is there a way allow wireless user to print to the same printer regardless of the ip difference?

Jun 26, 2011Recently I had to reconnect my WRT54GS linksys router and now it is unsecure, obviously i know how to secure because i've done it before but it isn't letting me...Whenever I type 192.168.1.1 into my browser it will not load the page and it is really frustrating. I have also tried typing in my Default Gateway and ip address that I got from cmd/ipconfig and those will not work either..I'm not understanding why this wouldn't work, and yes my internet connection is fine and nothing is wrong with my browser..

Feb 2, 2013I'm trying map the USB hard drive connected to my EA4500 router as a network drive in Windows 7, and it works perfectly until I enable secure folder access on the router.
After enabling secure folder access, and not changing any other settings on the router I first unmount the drive since it was set up without credentials and doesn't work that way any more. When I try to remap the drive I use the same address, but select "Connect using different credentials" When it prompts me for the log in info I try using the router admin account, but it fails to connect. Windows network diagnostics tells me the device refused the connection. I proceeded to set up an account on the router under the folder access settings with the same username, and password I use on my computer, and tried to connect it without checking "Connect using different credentials" (And typing them in manually if that matters) with the same results.
Even with secure folder access enabled I can still reach the drive just fine by typing "ftp://192.168.1.1/" into file explorer. It prompts me for a username and password, I put in the admin credentials, and I'm in. Even the account I created with the same username/password as my computer works this way.
After disabling secure folder access everything works perfectly fine again... I would MUCH rather do this with it though.
Following these directions: [URL] When clicking the browse button the router shows up when secure folder access is disabled, but does not after it is enabled. I've looked through my windows sharing settings, and haven't noticed anything that should cause problems, pretty much everything is enabled. I've also tried turning off my firewall with no success.

Dec 10, 2012Ever since i upgraded my os from windows xp to windows 7 i've been getting lag spikes at least once every 5 minutes. With my ping going up to 1500 easily and staying up there for about 20-30 seconds. My brother is connected to the same router as me and he isn't experiencing any issue's with his internet connection (He is also using windows 7). Is this a common error?

Jun 3, 2011I just upgraded my motherboard and I'm happy that the WUSB 300N is still working. Slightly annoying issue when I wake my computer from sleep. No internet connection and when I go to adapter settings, the WUSB 300n is disabled. If I click enable, nothing happens. The adapter will immediately come back to life and connect to the router and internet if I unplug it and then plug it back in (the usb connector).I also notice that the adapter is still on when my computer is asleep, all of the lights are still on and blinking, this is not the same behavior that it had before, then it would just appear to be completely off. The motherboard is a MSI P67A-GD65 with an intel i5 2500K. There are some different C-State power settings that I'm not familiar with (previously had an AMD based mobo and processor).

I got ftp working for my usb attached wv delements drive , but it is totally invisible in windows (except for ftp of course).I read in an older post that the usb drive in certain situations does not work (independent of disk manufacturer/type and such) and for certain configurations the ftp option might work but the windows mapped network drive doesn't , does that still apply? does it apply to bridged mode ?

They are all in bridged mode, however when I attempt to enable the guest network on each of them, the config shows it as active, but it never shows up as visiible SSID. In previous posts, I've seen people saying that I need to do a complete hard reset of the router and re-enter all the configs again to get the guest network active. Is this true? I'd hate to think that I have to hard reset and reconfigure all three of these APs, just to get the guest network enabled.

Jan 24, 2012I just picked up the E3200 and love it. This morning I hooked up my printer via the USB. Everything went smooth until I tried to print something. I thought nothing was happening, but I let it sit for a while. While I was waiting, I was messing around with my network setting in windows. I realized that my network had been set to 'work' for some reason, so I changed it to 'home'. As soon as I did, my printer spit out my test page. (probably 5 min after sending the doc.) I don't know if it was just coincidence or what, so I sent another page and nothing happened (yet).
Is this common to take that long? Is there a way to speed this up?

Nov 9, 2012I can get regarding using the Collobos Fingerprint software through my WRT150N router. I'm using Windows XP SP3 and immediatly after installing (which went extreamy well) it immediatly found and listed all of my home network printers. All of the wired and wireless windows based systems in my house can see and print to the printers without any problem. However, getting ANY of my apple devices (iPad, iPhone etc ) to print will not even show them as listed on the device when I select print on the devices. Collobos says that I have to make sure that Ports UDP 5353 doe Bonjour and TCP 6361 for FingerPrint need to be open both ways for it to work, I have no problem getting into the router settings and have set them up as stated above in Port Range Triggering and enabled. Also made sure Filter Multicast was not check marked in Security. Unfortunatly, that doesn't seem to work as I had hoped.

Even if I try reinstalling my drivers, I get the following error: Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Prior to this error my firewall was giving me constant warnings about Pure Networks Admin assistant application trying to access the same files(i.e. nmctxth.exe). Even though I allowed it still kept popping up.
I am using the online armor firewall on a Windows XP system. I cannot access the LinkSys Advisor anymore as it will not start.

Jul 14, 2012Currently my setup works fine except that I need another ethernet port.I have a E4200V2 with a HP laserjet 4000N printer connected via JetDirect ethernet and I am able to print with any of my devices.However, because I have need of another ethernet port, I am wondering if anybody has tried using a parallel to usb cable? The parallel side of the cable being connect to the printer and the usb side to the router.
Or if I really want that port made available, will I have to get some type of external print server?
I know that HP makes a JetDirect Card with a USB port, however, I don't want to spend the $80 on ebay to get a used one if a $10 new cable will work.
