I have a problem with my internet connection. There are certain websites that are not accessible to me. If I want to visit them it just says that it can't display the webpage. I have a PPoE connection with a MSI RG60SE router
View 1 RepliesI am connected to the internet fine, but there are some websites that when I try to navigate to them, it just loads forever (White page) [URL] I Also, some download links don't work (Flash, or Skype)I have a DSL connection with a modem and a Linksys E1200 router and I am hooked into the router via Ethernet cable. I have no antivirus software installed and windows firewall is disabled The other computer on the network and my wireless device can access all websites just fine, and even when I plug my pc directly into the modem it. I have already checked to see if the websites are having issues; they are not. I have reset my router and set it up again multiple times, I have re-installed my drivers, I even reformatted my computer (it needed it anyway..)I first assumed it was an issue with the DNS, I currently have it automatically assign a DNS and I tried using Googles DNS but the issue remained.

So far I've identified 3 sites. umkc.edu, nfm.com, and 7thheavenonline.com. I really need to access the umkc site for school. If I use a free proxy service I can pull the sites up, but with the amount I pay each month to Time Warner I shouldn't have to do this.

I was able to re-connect but not use any websites, although I was able to use Skype somehow. I have a router at college. An Asus RT-N16. I have DD-WRT on it. I used to own a wrt54gl until it crapped out on me.The problem is: Everything works fine, but I cannot access my colleges website. Like the .edu address. None of it. When I directly connect to the wall I am fine, with the router I cannot go to our .edu site. It just gives a generic error saying it cannot reach the website/address.I have tried everything. Static IP that is linked to my computer and allowed on the network. DHCP. I have done MAC cloning. To make a long story short, everyone I talk to can access the sites and I cant my hosting company says its a router problem. I contacted the service provider and reset the router but that didnt fix it. I have 3 computers on this router and none of them work to access the site. Two weeks ago my DIR-825 stopped connecting to some URLs. I made no changes to the router nor did I add any new software. If I tether my laptop to my smartphone, I connect to those URLs without any problems. I connected my cable modem directly to the laptop and I was able to connect to the URLs also.

I've tried resetting my rooter, configured all the settings as they were when working, I have basically gone into my network & sharing centre and change adapter settings to make sure all the settings there are as should be, reset , & config all of those as well, I've also gone into cmd and reset my D-link completelly from the command, and also tried to restore my computer to an earlier stage which did not work either , Now all I can gather is that It has to be a block some where most likely with the rooter , which is blocking access to port 443.

I have a Linksys WRT54G router.
I've made 6 internet access policies in the Access Restrictions settings of my router, but for some reason only the 1st policty works. I had 'torrent' as a keyword on the first policy, and when I googled most popular torrent sites it wouldn't let me... so I took 'torrent' off the keyword list and did my google search, and after I wrote down the 40 most popular public torrent sites, I added torrent back as a keyword for website blocking and saved it, but now it doesn't work for some reason. So at first it worked, then I took it off so I could search using the keyword torrent, then I added it back again and saved it and now it doesn't work.
1st policy works (besides the torrent keyword). I have all my policies enabled, have set ip ranges from 0-254 for all of them, and gave them each a name.
How come only the first policy works, and how come all the keywords in the first policy work except one after I deleted it and then re-added it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a home network that consists of two routers. First I have my cable modem that is connected to an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. I tend to use that as the 'n' network for my computers so any devices using n networking connect to that.I then have a cable that goes from my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station to a Linksys E3000 router. I tend to use that as my g router and connect many devices that only have g wi-fi to it.Here is the problem:Because of a couple children that have iPod Touches and Macbooks I like to have them connect to the E3000 since it has great website blocking. I wish the Apple Base Station had website blocking but as far as I see it doesn't. Also, this website blocking has worked great since I installed the router but here is the problem. They frequently have to print items and they're unable to print since it won't find the printer.
The printer that I have is connected by Ethernet cable to the Apple Base Station It appears I have two ways of connecting the E3000 router to my Base Station. The way I currently have it connected is the E3000 is connected to the Apple router through the Internet port on the back. By doing this I get full internet and website blocking but I am unable to print through it. Yet if I connect it to the Apple router through one of it's numbered (1-4) ports, I still get internet, I'm able to print, but yet the website blocking does not work.Since the Apple base station doesn't have website blocking as far as I know the only way I can think of getting around this is to replace my Apple Base Station with another E3000 but I don't want to do this unless I have to.
All of my clients are accessing internet through Netgear wireless router. From the router's "Block Sites" option, I've inserted all of the IP address of facebook & this was working fine.

But i can access Yahoo website. I tried resetting my linksys setup but it doesnt solve the problem. When i access my iphone via wifi at home, i am also unable to go into app store, facebook app, and emails with images won't load. I also cannot link my iphone to itunes on my iMac. D-Link Router 615, with Xplornet Satellite Internet <-(internet sucks).
We got the router about 5 months ago and it has been good, few losses of connection and you have to reboot which is understandable. The internet is always random so if the router needs reset/reboot its no problem.
However about a month or so ago its started redirecting constantly once you put a website in the address bar. Its not always the same sites either. Sometimes its google for part of the day, some times the site wont work for a week. It redirects me all the time to the D-Link Router Log In, and no matter how i try to access the website im trying to go to, it redirects me to the D-Link.
Got a new EA4500 for Xmas. After setting up the new router I could only access you tube and Google at a very slow speed, however I can not access any other website - Facebook, yahoo and etc... it would ping yahoo and Google no problem friend told me to do a tracer to some ip address and his conclusion was the router is fully functional

I have an SMC2804WBR router. It runs slowly and refuses to even load some web sites. If I unplug it for half an hour, it works fine for three or four minutes and then slows right down again. SMC support told me to reset and reconfigure the settings. I tried it twice. It made no difference at all. It works fine for a few minutes after it has been unplugged but then slows right down. I have the cable connection plugged into a PC running Windows 2000 and that is where I have the router plugged in as well. This is not the machine I use on a daily basis. I use a MacBook Pro via wireless. If I purchase a new router that says the operating system can be OS X or at least XP, can I configure it from the MacBook and will it still work with the PC running on Windows 2000? I was thinking of scrapping the SMC and getting a Linksys E1200-CA.
