when I try to connect to a network where is required a login in the first webpage I cannot have internet access, but only local access. I mean: even for free internet connection, sometimes they require you to connect to their network, then open the browser that is automatically direct to their network login page in order to login in that page.my problem is that I am able to connect to the network but when i open any browser, it does not direct me to the login webpage; it tries to go to my homepage but, obviously, the computer is not still connected to internet, so on the browser it appear "page not founded" or "page not available".

for example, there are 3 sites, A, B and C. A and B are 1.5 km apart and both are separate LAN(mixture of wireless and wired). C is 35 km apart from A and B. I have to connect A, B and C so that they can communicate with each other. Security is required.

I am deploying Cisco 5508 with Cisco 1602 Access Points at one of my client's office. User authentication will be done through Microsoft IAS Server working as RADIUS Server. There is a requirement from my client is that the user over wireless can only be able to login to One device using its user ID. I want to inquire if this can be done through WLC or it can be restricted on the RADIUS server? Looking forward for comments.
is it possible to eliminate the the guest login screen from being displayed/required to acess router from an added device(like a smart tv with a web browser)?router is an e2500,approx.

This only started to happen recently. when I log into windows, it creates a big fuss about connecting to my router...It takes a good 5 minutes of plugging and unplugging my adapter and restarting my router.
I have Clear service but there is one area that I cannot get a signal and need the network security key. I have windows 7, where do I find this security key?
I have a website account with fatcow. I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website. We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. It doesn't work. I have tried IE7, Chrome, Firefox and they all have the same problem. The laptop runs IE8 and has the same problem.I can ping the page successfully. I can traceroute the page successfully. I can't nslooup any site at all. I get the domain not existant message. My ip and dns settings are the automatically find option.I have renewed ips and dumped the dns cache.Using alternate dns addresses doesn't rectify the problem. When I attempt to upload via dreamweaver, I connect but within seconds I get a Dreamweaver message that says "Connection to remote host has been lost. Click refresh to continue" and the log reads "FTP Error. Dreamweaver could not connect to server." I haven't taken my desktop anywhere to try to see if it works on a different network. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.
We have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router set up at one of our small offices. I noticed recently when trying to log in to the router to make some admin configurations that it will not accept the login credentials when trying to log in from IE10 browser. Works fine from Chrome, IE9, ect. logging in to a linksys router with IE10?
My parents for the last few years have discussed a desire to be able to get internet access out at their pond. The pond is located about 200 feet or so from the house. Roughly between the house and pond is our barn. I would like to set up an outdoor network that would give them access to the internet at these ranges.
Currently, we have a linksys WRT54GL in the house. My plan was to add an additional WRT54GL in our garage as well as a wireless expander in our barn (I was considering the EnGenius ERB9250). Would the WRT54GL have enough range to reach the barn, and would a repeater be capable of reproducing the signal?
If not, do you have any other reccomendations as to how I might achieve this (without reaching too deep into my pockets)?
My linksys 4200 was set up some time ago for me, (unsecured) and was working fine. I was having problems with just 1 desktop that was using a usb wireless adapter, so I went and purchased a new cisco ae2500. While connecting I used the push button that it described, only it knocked out the network, and all the other computers are now off of the network. The new network(s) are Cisco_WPS_42526 (secure) and Cisco_WPS_42526-guest. Not knowing the network key and the guys that set it up are gone, I tried the guest. WHICH REQUIRES A PASSWORD!!!! I can now not get ANY of my computers online! How do I find the security, or the password? Why would you need a password for an insecure network anyway?
I have recently purchased a RVS4000 router and am experiencing major downtime.Almost everyday the RVS4000 router losing internet connectivity. I noticed that when this happens I cannot login into the router from my pc which is connected to the RVS4000 network. The only way to restore connectivity is to restart the RVS4000 by disconnecting power and powering back up.The router's WAN is connected to my Cable modem. The RVS400 has two PC connected to it. (port 3 & 4) I have a Cisco 8-port switch connect to the RVS4000 with 3 additional PCs/devices on it.
I was changing the computer name on a group of networked computers but forgot to go to - Manage - Users - Administrator and set a password. I accessed Computer - System Properties - Clicked the "Change" button for "To rename this computer, click Change" and selected the "Workgroup" as opposed to the "Domain" option. When I restarted the computer the computer will not allow me to enter the administrator password to allow me access the computer.
I have 2 PC at home and would like to network them together so i could share the resources between them. But i could only manage to setup 'one way' - the XP Home could access the Windows 7 Ultimate but not the other way Whenever i double click on the XP Home, it will prompt me to login. But no matter what i enter, it will say its wrong. What weird is the 'domain'. The login dialog will show that im login into 'Domain: Windows7PC' when im trying to login into the XP. And after i have enter 'wrongly', it will show the username as 'Windows7PCusername' and ask to try again - it means im login into the Windows 7 And if i try to prefix the PC's name in front - \WindowsXPusername then it will prompt \WindowsXP is not accessible..... The specified username is invalid
Here is my 'settings'-
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 Windows XP Home SP3 Both is on the same Workgroup/IPGroup/Netmask Both has File & Printer Sharing Enabled Have patch XP with KB922120v6
I was in a pub the other day. When I tried to use their wireless I was directed to a webpage to enter the password.I am a web designer and want to make a funky login page, not for a user ID. Just to enter the password to my wireless. How do I do this? Im not aiming to make my system more secure.
When I first launch the application, it promots for CCO login information, but then tells me the username or password is invalid. I reset it once, and it appeared to work. Next time I launched the application though, it gave me the same login error and did not store any of the device credentials. This is a new install of CNA and it just has one community setup on it now. I've tried 2 different CCO accounts and they both give the same login failure. I know the passwords I'm using are correct though.
I have been having this problem for about a month now. We are using a PIX 515E as our VPN device. This has been in place for years but last month something must have changed that won't allow me to access the network from a VPN connection.I can login to the VPN from a remote location, however I cannot ping anything on the local network or access any devices. Our local network IP scheme is 10.6.x.x. The IP address given from the PIX for a VPN session is the in the 10.6.5.x range. Our subnet is 255.255.0.0. I haven't worked with a VPN or PIX before.
everything was ok with my connexions, but, after a crash, when I run IE ou Chrome, I get the login screen of the 2 cameras, and I can enter my login en my password but after validation, nothing happens...This problem is only on my PC windows 7, and I can connect with all others stations LAN or WAN.All I remenber is that I have to delete a file in the system folder of my PC but what file ?
I have been researching this for some time now and I can't find a solution to fit my needsI'm deployed in Afghanistan and on the base the local company they brought in has a hard wired network setup which makes you log in for internet. I want to setup wireless off of that with my own router and charge a smaller price. I know this sounds bad but they charge a pretty absurd amount. I would like to lessen that amount for the guys in my unit by splitting the price between everyone. I would like to make it look good though.
The login for the existing internet is a web based login. So, what I have come across so far is I need a router that will support logging into a web based login and support a landing page that will charge/ accept Paypal payments for new accounts and will expiredaily/weekly/monthly based on what they choose. I would like to set this up like you as a customer were loging in at a regular hot spot if that makes sense.
On my website I want visitors to be able to see the picture from my DSC-2121 using the example [URL] without having to enter user name and password. To begin the URL with "http://user:passwd......." no longer works in IE.
I recently bought a new Cisco WRVS4400N router for our network which has 19 computers connected to a 24 port switch. We are currently using a D-Link router and are upgrading to the Cisco router. The problem I am having is as soon as I connect one of our servers or the 24 port switch to the Cisco router I can no longer access the internet or login on the network, I also cannot access the routers setup from either server. If I connect the router to just a stand alone computer I can access the setup and change things but as soon as I connect the server or 24 port switch everything dies (all lights are still green on the router though so everything is connected).
I have a Cisco network at my office and the router and everything is set up under my desk.I can use the internet just fine on my office computer but I am trying to use it on my laptop and login to the guest account .I ran across the Cisco Connect sofware and that I need it to find the password but the problem is I dont think I have a router or whatever it is that is compatible with this software I am using WRT54g wireless n router, the models on the site for the cisco connect are e series
I am installing my AE1000 in a new computer. During installation I enter my wireless network password which is on 5 characters long but the next tab does not light up to proceed to the next step. It only lights with 8 characters though my password is 5 characters long
I'm running into an issue with allowing all the PCs to use the one printer connected to devpc. I have a westell 7500 from CenturyLink and a Belkin Wireless G router. This is the layout:
