I am trying to update games and that on my Xbox 360 i do not have internet (Landline) only a Mobile Broadband Usb from "Three" i am trying to get online with it. Ive read alot of forums and watched alot of videos and cant find a answer. On most of the infomationn i found it says about Opening the Properties then clicking Sharing Tab but when i tried there was no sharing tab so i dont have a clue on what i need to do.

When trying to add networked printers descriptions don't appear and can not find drivers. Tried turning off firewall - no change. Checked services and printer spooler set to automatic and running.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAs far as im aware the current set up of the network is two desktops connected to a router and the router is connected to a switch (i didnt assemble the network) Now what im trying to do is get onto the router so i can change the SSID for a wirless connection.i was told by the ISP i was to change my IP, DG and subnet from DHCP to a static setup they gave me, which i did. but when i go into the browser to access the net (and ultimatly put the IP into the adress bar to access the properties) the net connection fails and i cant get on. when i change back to DHCP the net works again but i cant configure the router with this IP because the company has forgoten the admin/password.

We are using WP2/AES for encryption and 802.1x for key management for our WLAN. The question I have is, when I look at one of the client's properties through the WLC 5508, then look at the "AP properties", its says that its using; Authentication = Open System, and WEP state = wep enabled. Why would the AP properties have open system and wep enabled when the WLAN is setup for WP2/AES??? There is also a "Security Information" Section just below the "AP properties" section and this lists the correct settings. Are the "AP Properties" irrelevant in this case?
Want to change DNS Server Address on PC. But when I go to change DNS address by going to Network Connections in Control Panel. Select current Local Area Connection and choose Properties, I get an error 'An Unexpected Error Occured'. Have tried resetting network again but still the same error

I was using those two connection on the same computer. Now i office Network admin came and changed the Setting from the LAN Propertied. he removed the default gateway of my server IP address from DNS Server and he gave that ip address to the Default gateway in the LAN Propertied tab. After which i cannot access the wireless. If i change to ip address to the DNS Server my wireless is working..what is DNS Server and Default gateway..... Also i want to know the diffrence between that..

I uninstalled my wireless network adapters and disabled my firewall.My main concern is I am trying to get my computer wired for work at home jobs. I used to have it wirelessly. I am using my landlord's ethernet D link router connection from linkysys router to Dlink then to computer wired using an ethernet cable. She has it working for her. She has it going from her son's and it works. My computer says aquiring network address quite frequently. Yesterday it used to say connected but the internet said page cannot be displayed and for the results everything was ok but not the gateway.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI did a clean install of Windows 7 64-Bit the other day. I installed all drivers that came with my PC's Hardware, all went smooth. INCLUDING: Installing the original Linksys WMP300N Software/Driver Disc. I'm not sure how it installed, since i have a 64-Bit OS. It says that "This device is working properly", although no "Power Managment" tab came up in its Properties Menu. I had to manually go to the Registry Editor and turn off Some "Power Saving Features", like it auto-turning off. That's all i did an i'v had NO problems with it. Although, I don't use the software, and never have, i prefer Microsofts. I'v also got a second PC with a different Linksys adapter(Non PCI One)working great on 32-Bit Win7. How to get it to work on Windows 7?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI checked the NIC Properties and the Speed & Duplex only shows the following 10 half, 10 full, 100 half, 100 full and auto. There is no 1000 half and 1000 full. My old gigabit NIC on my old computer shows all, 10s, 100s, and 1000s and the auto. They tried to fix it and even changed the driver but it still is not showing the 1000s. Their option was to change the motherboard with a refurbished one and my computer was just bought just 2 months ago. The original computer had 12GB memory, I7, AMD graphics card, 460 PSU. no blue-ray, no usb 3. The new setup is 16GB memory, I7, Nvidia GeForce GT 550 Ti, Usb 3, Blue-ray, I think 800 PSU.I am running Win 7 Home Premium 64. I have a Gigabit connection from my internet service so I wanted the NIC to go that fast too. The specs shows the computer to have a Gigabit NIC but the properties is not showing the 1000s.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to create a network for file sharing, as have upgraded the 'server' (part of a Workgroup, not a Domain) from WinXP to Win7 and experienced problems ever since. Ironically the problems haven't mainly been with sharing files between Win7 and WinXP systems, but between 2 Win7 systems. I bought a new Win7 laptop and tried to connect it to the server, but it hasn't had Read/Write privileges over the files in the Win7 server. Entering a username and password to gain access to the servers folders has not been a problem, and as far as I know, opening files such as documents has not been a problem either. However, when trying to save an edited document, access is denied, and if I try to open an executable file (this is necessary for a node installation), it prompts me for a network password. Every combination possible of username and password from the 2 systems (including '' or 'SYSTEMNAME' before the username) has not worked. I tried syncing the times which was apparently a previous problem, but to no avail. I am unable to access Local Security Policy, as the server is running off Home Premium. I have tried creating a new workgroup, removing and changing passwords, enabling guest access to the network through the Windows Resource Kit Command Shell, creating identical users on both computers, but nothing appears to have worked.

I connected the dongle to a working USB port where the computer installed the drives/program that existed on the dongle. However, when I start the program it says no device found. View 5 Replies View Related[code] Basically, we used to use Outlook for our customer management, but after I tried to design a custom form for customers that suited our needs better than Outlook's default form (i.e. we don't need state, country, region, etc. for each customer, and we'd prefer to have spots for Roof, Shingle, Shingle color, etc. in their place), we ended up turning OneNote into our new Customer Management System.Our problem is sharing files, and the security or lack thereof that goes along with it.We used to save all the files to a single computer, and use Windows 7 Home group to access them. That worked okay, but often we couldn't see the file-holding computer, and would have to disconnect/reconnect to the internet.
We recently bought a NAS HD, which actually works a lot better than I expected. Unfortunately, we've learned recently that new employees are not always the most trustworthy. So this is what we are trying to do:We want to set up some type of way for us to save, store, and access files, which allows us to keep track of who has done what (access, save, copy, delete, print, etc.), preferably one where we can set up alerts if certain things happen (i.e. someone copies and pastes the entire thing, or attempts to delete). We've run into the problem where, yes, we want people to be able to copy and paste certain documents, yes we want people to be able to print, but no we don't want someone to be able to print out our entire customer lists, current project lists, etc.This NAS HD (MyBook Live 2TB by Western Digital) could quite possibly have the most ridiculous set up I've ever encountered. I can set up accounts and passwords, but they are completely irrelevant because from "Computer" you can just select the z:/ drive and it will still take you to our files. We just brought on a couple new people, and its like, everyone tells them to come to me in regards to the computers, and I can't even hook them up to the internet because it would give them access to our network, which in turn gives them access to our z:/ drive, which contains every file our company has.

I have a little small network created with 6 computers. 5 of them are windows xp home and pro. jsut bought a new laptop with windows 7 64 bit home pre. All the xp laptops can share files easily but the windows 7 is giving me a really hard time.

how do i connect client computers to a server using a 3g gsm sim dongle for each computer and the server aswell...sounds weird but the client computers are way too far away from the server computer.
