View 1 RepliesI think this is a bug, but I wanted to check if others have the same problem. If we try to delete rogue AP's under MONITOR > Rogues with Remove Selected then we get a error message Authorization Failed. No sufficient privileges. At first sight, it looks like the AP's are gone, but if you click on the same menu again, they are still there.
My ACS admin user has role1=ALL. I even tried to set role1=MONITOR, then I don't get the message above, but it is stated that I can not delete known rogue AP's.
I was trying to set up an ad hoc network and toyed around with some of the wireless network settings. The network I was trying to set up didn't quite work out so I tried to set it back to how they were but forgot how they were. Is there a way to delete the Wireless Network Connection and let it create a new one or is there a "standard" setting for this to strictly find a wireless network and connect to it?

I uninstalled my wireless network adapters and disabled my firewall.My main concern is I am trying to get my computer wired for work at home jobs. I used to have it wirelessly. I am using my landlord's ethernet D link router connection from linkysys router to Dlink then to computer wired using an ethernet cable. She has it working for her. She has it going from her son's and it works. My computer says aquiring network address quite frequently. Yesterday it used to say connected but the internet said page cannot be displayed and for the results everything was ok but not the gateway.

When I want to configure cleanair, or some security functions (such as ACL, or password policies), I have an error message saying that my privileges are not enough.When I use local account, it works well.
At the begining, I thought it was a TACACS issue, but I have the same problem with WCS and SNMP. Cleanair doesn't appears in config menu, and I have an error message for security function.
I have Cisco 2960 switches deployed in my environment along with radius server authentication. Now i need to assign some roles to particular users (shutdown port, description) so what i need to do for this task so not all users have same privileges.

View 13 Replies View RelatedAs far as im aware the current set up of the network is two desktops connected to a router and the router is connected to a switch (i didnt assemble the network) Now what im trying to do is get onto the router so i can change the SSID for a wirless connection.i was told by the ISP i was to change my IP, DG and subnet from DHCP to a static setup they gave me, which i did. but when i go into the browser to access the net (and ultimatly put the IP into the adress bar to access the properties) the net connection fails and i cant get on. when i change back to DHCP the net works again but i cant configure the router with this IP because the company has forgoten the admin/password.

We are using WP2/AES for encryption and 802.1x for key management for our WLAN. The question I have is, when I look at one of the client's properties through the WLC 5508, then look at the "AP properties", its says that its using; Authentication = Open System, and WEP state = wep enabled. Why would the AP properties have open system and wep enabled when the WLAN is setup for WP2/AES??? There is also a "Security Information" Section just below the "AP properties" section and this lists the correct settings. Are the "AP Properties" irrelevant in this case?
I Connected two connection on my computer. One is LAN connection that is my Office network connection, and another one is USB Wireless device. I was using those two connection on the same computer. Now i office Network admin came and changed the Setting from the LAN Propertied. he removed the default gateway of my server IP address from DNS Server and he gave that ip address to the Default gateway in the LAN Propertied tab. After which i cannot access the wireless. If i change to ip address to the DNS Server my wireless is working..what is DNS Server and Default gateway..... Also i want to know the diffrence between that..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a clean install of Windows 7 64-Bit the other day. I installed all drivers that came with my PC's Hardware, all went smooth. INCLUDING: Installing the original Linksys WMP300N Software/Driver Disc. I'm not sure how it installed, since i have a 64-Bit OS. It says that "This device is working properly", although no "Power Managment" tab came up in its Properties Menu. I had to manually go to the Registry Editor and turn off Some "Power Saving Features", like it auto-turning off. That's all i did an i'v had NO problems with it. Although, I don't use the software, and never have, i prefer Microsofts. I'v also got a second PC with a different Linksys adapter(Non PCI One)working great on 32-Bit Win7. How to get it to work on Windows 7?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI checked the NIC Properties and the Speed & Duplex only shows the following 10 half, 10 full, 100 half, 100 full and auto. There is no 1000 half and 1000 full. My old gigabit NIC on my old computer shows all, 10s, 100s, and 1000s and the auto. They tried to fix it and even changed the driver but it still is not showing the 1000s. Their option was to change the motherboard with a refurbished one and my computer was just bought just 2 months ago. The original computer had 12GB memory, I7, AMD graphics card, 460 PSU. no blue-ray, no usb 3. The new setup is 16GB memory, I7, Nvidia GeForce GT 550 Ti, Usb 3, Blue-ray, I think 800 PSU.I am running Win 7 Home Premium 64. I have a Gigabit connection from my internet service so I wanted the NIC to go that fast too. The specs shows the computer to have a Gigabit NIC but the properties is not showing the 1000s.

I have tried restarting the modem, router, and my computer. The strange thing is that the connection lights on the modem and router are lit as usual. View 3 Replies View RelatedI am able to connect to firefox internet but when I try to log in to my Yahoo Messenger or iTunes store it tells me that my internet connection timed out. I try to connect to Internet Explorer and it will not connect to the web there. I have went into the tools box in Internet Explorer and clicked on internet option and than connection and I was going to try to change the proxy server LAN and when I would go into it to change that I would be able to find the address to put in but can not figure out what the port section is. I am using a wireless connection and it shows that i have connection even when I try the troubleshooting section that checks the connection and it tells me that there is no problem with it. I also tried restarting my wireless router and than restarting my computer which did not work.
Than I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to internet and still nothing. When I would login to my Yahoo Messenger and pushed the troubleshooter bottom it says, "We are not able to make a connection to the Internet. One of the following may be true: You're not connection to the Internet.
