I'm having some trouble with my P660RU-T1 configuration. I have recently set up a linux SFTP server at my home and am trying to access it via my public ip (eg 1.1.1.1), the problem is this public IP goes to the router which doesnt pass on the requests to the server.Last summer when i first messed around with this i had no problems with using the public ip to access the server, its only recently.
View 1 RepliesI have a sg200-18 connected via one of the ports to my ISP's router/modem. Using an unmanaged switch everything works as expected, but after a few days on my sg200 my two computers fail to get assigned IP's and cannot connect to anything. I also have a couple printers that seem to have no problems getting their IP's passed through to the router as I can use them fine from my machines when connected to the unmanaged switch.
Is there a possibility I don't have my switch setup properly to know that all outgoing data must go to the router, or UDP traffic is being dropped somehow?
We are in a planning phase of adding another service to our DMZ. The DMZ has a singe publicly accessible IP. We are running Citrix inside our network externally accessible via w121eb https (443). Another service will be added to the DMZ (Exchange/O365) requiring ADFS & and ADFS proxy also using port 443 as well. Both services (the Citrix secure gateway & ADFS) will have separate subdomains but directed to that same IP, each with its own cert.
Now, I guess the question is: How (if possible) can we forward the public requests to the two services that hit our network on the same port (can't change the port on either), to two separate appliances with their own internal IP's internally?Our current appliance on the DMZ is an ASA 5505. Recently i had suffering with wireless connection problem, currently my wireless router connected to WAN directly, after that go into firewall and then go thru switch to end user PC, for LAN user there is no issue, but for wireless connected PC it is prompted with limited connectivity problem(DHCP is disable on router), after check with ipconfig /all. it seem likely due to wireless PC cannot get the IP from DHCP server. i am using DLink615 router. i had checked firewall setting there is firewall policy that connected all router ip into company LAN, but i don't think there is DHCP VPN setting up. is there anyway i can go thru firewall and get IP from DHCP server because if i set up DHCP on router, it cannot pass thru and access to LAN.

View 3 Replies View Related I have a Linksys WAP200 Wireless-G Access Point problem. It is SW version 2.0.4.0. I have it configured for a small network and the problem seems to be that it is not forwarding DHCP requests onto my DHCP server. I know that it is not a SSID or Key issue as when I give my devices static IP addresses, they communicate fine within my system. The only issue seems to be when the devices make DHCP client requests. I also know that the problem is not my DHCP server as it has the device's IP / mac addresses in its configuration file and other wired devices are able to communicate with it to get their IP address through DHCP.
I have seen that there was talk in some blogs about WAP200 no forwarding DHCP requests and I was hoping that updating the device to the latest release would have resolved the problems.
Setting up a stand-alone WDS/PXE server.Current we have helper addresses setup to forward the DHCP requests from the different VLAN's to the DHCP server. The WDS/PXE server we are setting up is on its server. How do we craft the helper addresses so DHCP requests go to the proper server hosting DHCP and PXE requests go the WDS server?
Everything I seen on Microsoft Technet, lists using Helper Address as the recommended way, but assume both services are on the same server. Our helper address is as follows on each VLAN interface in router: ip helper-address X.X.X..This is a Cisco 3750.
I have added an ASA 5510 to my network between the Internet and a Windows 2008R2 server running ForeFront TMG. Before the ASA was added, vpn clients using Microsoft Windows 7 vpn client using L2TP/IPsec connected to our vpn. After ASA was added, clients can no longer connect. I would like to know how to configure the ASA to forward the vpn requests to the ForeFront TMG server for authentication and access to internal network resources. Mail is forwarded appropriately through the ASA to internal mail server and Internet access for LAN users works just fine.
Topology:
ASA 5510 (outside interface is ISP IP address, inside interface is 192.168.1.1)................Forefront TMG (outside nic 192.168.1.2, inside nic is LAN gateway IP address).

I have several Cata 3500XL switches connected to one 1 HP L3 switch which is connected Sonicwall router. Vlan1 has subnet of 10.10.0.0/24 and Microsoft DCHP server lays inside VLAN1.
Now i want to add VLAN11 (192.168.10.0/24) as second data VLAN but DHCP requests should go to microsoft DCHP server.
This is what i did:
Configured VLAN11 IP on each cisco switch
IP default gateway with IP from other subnet (i guess this is bad since maybe it should be IP of VLAN11 on HP L3 switch?)
Trunk ports are configured to pass everything on cisco switches
On VLAN11 i configured IPhelper IP to be MS DHCP server on each Cisco switch
I haven't tested this yet but i have problem in process.I can't ping VLAN11 IPs between switches (i configured VLAN1 and VLAN11 with IP). When client plugs computer to a port that belongs to VLAN11 will i be sure that client will get IP from the 192.168 range or there is possiblity that he gets IP from the management VLAN range?

We are attempting to setup RRAS on Windows 2008R2 using L2TP. Server is on the inside of the network at 10.10.10.20 our ASA is 10.10.10.1 its outside interface is 68.0.0.0.3/28.
I set a static NAT rule to allow all traffic pointed at 68.0.0.4 to be directed to 10.10.10.20 and have ACLs allowing the following.
esp, ah, udp/500, udp/4500, udp/1701
Mac Clients have no issues with but windows clients seem to hang and never connect. I know the ASA configuration is somehow to blame, if I attempt to connect to LAN IP (10.10.10.20) from withn the same network every thing works fine (making sure all the Windows Issues are covered).We have 2 other IPSEC tunnels established to teh ASA from our COLO and a Satalite office, not sure if this makes it any harder.
I want to pass my client VPN request to MS Win Server 2003 - on FW I forwarded port for PPTP service to my server address, but on client side I get an error 619. On Cisco RV120W I have Site-to-Site VPN tunnel which works fine, PPTP server on Cisco is disabled. What should I do to pass VPN request to my LAN server to handle it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust successfully replaced a WRT54GL with E2500 as my primary router. Everything went great and the setup of the new router was easy enough. Everything just works.
Except one thing: the new router doesn't act as a DNS server on my network. Therefore, my network shares do not reconnect and I cannot ping the machines using their network name, only their IP addresses. Running ipconfig /all shows 192.168.2.1 as my default gateway and DHCP server, but not as a DNS server. I'm positive that my "old" WRT54GL was acting as my DNS server
we need to implement a scalable solution where we can provide for each customer it's own public IP so that they can access some content restricted by IP range.the solution consists of a proxy software that will "listen" to multiple IP's, then reroute the HTTP requests and rewrite the URL's to a different format.Anyways, we came to the conclusion that what we need is the following:
- broadband line with a pool of 8 IP's
- a router that can support multiple IP's
- a server
what kind of router or device is required for this kind of configuration. basically the network diagram will be like this:
Internet ----> broadband -------> cable modem ------ > multiple static IP router -------> server NIC
we should be able to add the same above combination once we run out of IP's, another broadband line, another device and server ...
I have a virtual FreeNAS server running from VMPlayer and I want to allow my friends to connect to my media server from their houses, but I don't want to buy a domain. Is there a way to port them to it when they connect to my Public IP? I am willing to use another program if necessary. I have looked at Filezilla, but have the same issue.

I want to use the E4200 media server to stream divx and other video files on my Sharp Aquos HDTVs.I have an LC-70LE732U and a LC-52LE832U wired to my network. Both of them seem to discover and successfully connect to my media server however only MP3s and certain MPG files are detected. None of the AVI files show up.I have upgraded my E4200 firmware to 1.0.03 hoping that would fix the problem but it didn't. I don't want to run a Windows based media server as I don't have a computer that I can leave on all the time.

With the below code I do not get a ping reply sourcing from a 10.1.0.X host to 192.168.1.80 web server.And I cannot browse in from the outside to it either.I do see the MAC for 192.168.1.80 in the ASA's arp cache for the dmz interface.The web server is on a VMware ESX environment and I'm not sure it is set up correctly.

We have a router (7206) which connected to client device in /30 IP segment, but this device is a switch which connected to many more devices. Doing packet capture on our router interface unravel many ARP requests whcih comes from the client switch. Is there any feature or command which we can stop this?

Here is the problem.When I'm in a server (for example 192.168.0.210) and try to access other servers by their public ip addresses (i..e. *.*.*.211) the connection fails. However, When i try to access the same server by it's private IP address (i.e. 192.168.0.211) it works!
My issue is i don't want to modify windows host file for a manual mapping (for example mail.mydomian.com goes to 192.168.0.211 rather than *.*.*.211) because we host many domains and just doesn't make sense to do it one by one.So we must be able to access our servers by their public IP addresses in order for us our applications works correctly.
I have a new (linksys/cisco) RV082 Router that I have just set up and everything is working except that I can't configure it to allow public access to our web server. I have tried configuring port forwarding under the Forwarding and UPnP menus and still no access from the outside. I have tried accessing it from the outside using both the URL and the IP address and still no access. I have checked with my ISP and no ports are being blocked from their end. I can ping my public static IP from the outside with no problem. The documentation that I've found for this router refers to a menu that is different from the menu of this router and refers to an Applications & Gaming menu which isn't there, but it seems like the port forwarding should handle this.
I have a static public IP, a static internal IP for the server. I have set the port forwarding and UpNP to point to the IP of the server using port 80 and a secondary forward to port 8080. There are no issues accessing the website from within the LAN.

I hava ASA5510. INSIDE,DMZ and OUTSIDE interfaces are configured. I hava web server on DMZ ip:10.0.0.1 and it is static natted to 1.1.1.1. From internet i can reach to web server with IP:1.1.1.1 and from INSIDE connect to web server with IP:10.0.0.1. Now i want to connect from INSIDE to WEB server via public IP(1.1.1.1).how can configure it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a local web development server that I'd like to open up so my clients can see the sites I build for them. The server is just my old laptop that I now use only as a web server.
I'm having trouble figuring out the port forwarding for this. I have a Netgear WGR614v9. I've configured the server to have a static IP, and have port forwarding sending port 80 over to the server. I've made an exception in Windows Firewall for port 80.
So, from my understanding, I should be able to go to my http://[my public ip], and I should in the least see my servers default site.
I think my problem is that I don't have just one website hosted by Apache. But instead am using Virtual Hosts to have a handful of sites hosted. So what I don't know is how to configure the server to know what site to serve.
I know I'm missing a step with having DNS setup. I haven't gone through that step yet because I thought it wasn't immediately necessary to configure the port forwarding.
Setup:
LAN (192.168.1.X, with .3 as gateway)
DMZ (192.168.2.X with .1 as gateway)
WAN (X.X.X.146 as primary public IP, .145 as gateway and .147-150 as additional public IPs)
I want to set it up so that X.146 is where all my outbound traffic appears to originate.I want tcp HTTPS and SMTP to be allowed from the WAN (via the X.147 IP) to a specific server (192.168.1.11) on the LAN.Also, HTTP traffic to X.148, X.149 and X.150 should go to DMZ and 192.168.2.8, 192.168.2.15 and 192.168.2.18 respectively, but I haven't added that to my config yet. Looking to get the HTTPS and SMTP ones working first, then I'll fix the others (one step at a time)I've got contact with the outside world when I've configured it using the ASDMs "Public Server" interface, but it refuses to properly establish the connection, I get a "SYN timeout".

I'm trying via the ASDM to port forward http connections to a DVR for the purpose of viewing IP cams.I've tried via ASDM to create a public server but I'm not allowed to use my public IP address for the public Interface.I have only one public IP address available.Is there any way round this ? I would also like to know how I can enable NAT with PAT.I've tried setting the outside Interface for use with PAT but It keeps reverting to the setting for a range of external addresses.I'm not really used to the ASA cli yet , I'm getting there.If there's a workaround via the CLI , I'll take that route.
