How do I setup remote login that would allow 3 or 4 people to login to the same computer. Each person would have their own Windows User Account name, with different privileges.I don't know what software could do this. The computer being connected to would be Windows 7, and there is no special network equipment besides a consumer router.

I cant seem to login to any accounts on the internet (e.g. mail accounts and such). Other than that I dont have any real problems, except that my internet connection is considerably slower as well. But I can browse the web as usual
The problem is that whenever I try to log into any place the screen just freezes and gets non responding and so I have to close it down. It doesnt matter which browser I use, I have the same problem anyhow.

We recently switched from Centennial aircard to Verizon aircard (USB760) for our laptop. We have two user accounts on our windows 7 pc. With Centennial we could switch between user accounts without closing sierra wireless manager but when I switch to another user now, a message comes up saying vzaccess manager running in another account and we cannot use the internet until we have shut it down in the account it is running in - which is a pain. I have tried right clicking vzaccess manager in all programs and it does not have a share option. I also went to properties under vzaccess manager and found a setting to share and set it up but it still will not share
I can not setup a new user, or access wireless networks that show on my laptop had a virus and the shop said they removed it but the network has not worked since it a dell inspiron 1525
I have the RV220W and we are mainly using PPTP for VPN access. I can not add more than 9 PPTP VPN user acounts. When I go to add a tenth account the interface just hangs and stops responding. I can delete a user and then add another user and this works fine. I can also add other types of VPN users.
(WLC 4400) which enables employees to browse to a custom made webpage, where they can create an account for company vistors to access the internet. It's important for the employees not use any login credentials, they arrive on a webpage where they specify the login & password which the vistor will enter to browse the internet. Is there any good link to documention about this topic?
I was looking at an XP system that has 4 user accounts. Two are limited accounts and two are admin accounts. The adapter is a DLINK DWA-125 USB adapter. When logged into one of the admin accounts, internet works fine. When logged into one of the limited accounts, internet works fine.If I switch to either of the other accounts, the adapter can't get an IP address. If I switch back to one of the accounts that works, I get an IP right away.
I am in the process of upgrading a client's firewalls from 5520s to 5525-Xs. I have 2 independent firewalls that are merging into a single firewall. Both of the source ones have a TON of user accounts defined for remote user VPN, is there any way to move these user accounts with passwords in tact?? The goal is not to have to tell the 250+ users that they need to reset their passwords at once.
I've got a WLC5508 (7.0.116.0) that is managed by WCS (7.0.172.0). I set up another WLC5508 with the same code and managed by the same WCS. Now I'd like to export all the 800 guest user accounts with the passwords from the old WLC and import them into the new WLC.
1) I'm using a single subnet eg 192.168.1.0/24 for my wireless clients and i'm assigning them via the DHCP server from the WLC. As the clients are however made up of laptops and scanners, i would like to assign a range from 50-150 for the laptops and 151-250 for the scanners for easier identification. But it seems that from the WLC DHCP menu i'm not able to do this unless i segment them into a different network with different gateways.
2) Is there anyway to change the WLC user accounts password too? I dont seems to be able to find the option unless i delete the account and re-create it with the new password.
We are planning to setup a new WLAN using Cisco 2504 WLAN Controller and 1142N Access Point. Is it possible to create individual user accounts for the users those who all are connecting to this WLAN Network by using the 2504 WLAN Controller ?
I have an ASA 5505 that is hosting a SSL VPN. The user can not login. They receive login error. To the best of their knowledge, this problem started after the office Domain Controller was rebuilt. I have looked on ASA and in AD and cannot seem to trace the issue.
We are using the ASA 5520 as Firewall and VPN gateway for remote access by employees and vendors. Is there a way to view a history of VPN user logins? We used to have (or we still have but no longer using it) th CVPN 3005. This device keeps log files of all activities. I miss having this capability in the ASA 5520.
We are wanting to use local database users to authenticate our SSH connections to our 6500 cores.
We have added the usernames and password into the 6500 using
username anameduser password astrongpassword or username anameduser secret astrongpassword
We where expecting the commands to be the same as other iOS devices example C3750 we would add.
Line vty 0 4 login local
And this would allow us to use the local user database to authenticate our ssh sessions.
The login local commands are not availbe on the 6500s and we have not found any documentation on how to impliment a local database for this purpose except in a CatOS 6500.
how to track user logins with this device? I've pointed it to a SYSLOG, but it only creates Virtual Access connections, and I don't know who that connection belongs to.
We have dialup users that are connecting to our portal for uploading/downloading credit information. We are currently using ACS 3.3. There is a requirement that, initially we provide clients with their username/password, but we want to enforce the policy that when the user logs in first time, he should be prompted (forcefully) to change his password.
1) Can this be done in ACS 3.3 2) What solution shall be used in this case ? can it be done in ACS 5.3 ?
I work from a remote location, and use a VPN to access files on the company server. I have no problem logging into the VPN, but when using Windows 7 64-bit, I am denied access to the specific folder containing the files I need, even though I can see and open other folders on the same server.
However, if I connect from an old laptop running Windows 2000, I get a login pop-up when I click on the desired folder and after entering my username (including the remote domain name) and password I can access the files. In the newer OS, I just get a stock "access denied" message, with no option to log in. Specifically, in W7 the message is "You do not have permission to access this folder", which is nonsense.
Our IT department is baffled. How to set up W7 so it will allow me to log into the protected folder in the same way I can do it in W2K? Once logged in to the VPN itself, I use the 'run' command with the remote IP address to bring up the folders in a normal Explorer window.
I recently installed an RE1000, which seemed to be working fine. Then, on 3 PC's with no wireless adapter installed we began being prompted for user name and password for the wireless router. Once I unplugged to extender the problem went away. I know what you're thinking: Maybe I just think there's no wireless adapter on these PC's. NO, I looked in device manager and the only network adapter installed is the ethernet adapter. These are all 4+ year old machines with no hardware changes made to them. Wireless adapters are not necessarily standard issue on old towers--even on new towers. The Acer I'm using right now was purchased new in November 2011 and did not come with a wireless adapter installed.
I am able to connect via VPN from my office wireless. In my home I am not able to connect. I got the error as Login Failure Due to Remote host not responding. I have wireless connection in my home. I am able to surf internet and also able to ping the ip mentioned in VPN.

My first try at configuring my RV042 has had unexpected results. I set a WAN and LAN address, but did not enable remote managment and did not configure any port forwarding. I expected to be able to connect to the router on the LAN and I could. The surprise came when I put in my web address. I got a router login page. How do I suppress than on the WAN side. I have a static address with my ISP.
Someone hacked into my computer through my Netgear router. They took over as Administrator and setup a Atheros (sp) driver. They pretty much have total control over my computer. How can I rid myself of this hack and protect nyself in the future?
I want to share the My Documents folder from an XP machine with ONLY one user (the administrator) on a networked Win 7 machine. I have turned off simple sharing on the XP machine. I hate XP!! So complicated to do anything. Anyway, under security, I have tried share this folder, and not to share folder. I have gone into Advanced and messed around with permissions, taking out Everyone, using Admin only, using Network. At one point I ended up not being able to access My Documents on the local computer and had to jump through many hoops to change ownership and disable read only so that the user could use her own files! The problem is, under Advanced in the permissions area, I cannot see the users on the remote pc to choose which one should be allowed access. how to actually find a particular user on the Win 7 pc and give ONLY that user permission to read (not to change) the files in My Documents on the XP pc.
I have a client that wants to segment their wireless network behind their ASA. We currently have a normal setup, 5510, 2 interfaces, outside, inside. On the inside network there are Cisco Wireless APs that allow for internal access to the network. We want to move the APs to a new interface on the ASA and only allow traffic bettwen this new "Wireless" network and the internal network by using remote user VPN. So my question is, can you use remote user VPN from the new Wireless network to the inside network??
