Feb 23, 2011I have set my Netgear WGR614 to a static IP, and I have tried port forwarding but I can't. I've tried disabling SPI Firewall and it still don't work. I have also tried enabling bridge settings on my connection in my modem settings, but that just wouldn't let me back on my internet. How I can port forward?I have a westell 610015.

Jun 18, 2011We are using a Westell 7500 wireless modem/router from Frontier without any problemsI have two d-link wireless n300 routers that I want to add to network so I can add them to our DirecTV DVR's. I have tried using the D-link CD and instructions without any success. Everytime it prompts me for my 1st router's (the Westell's) login/password, it says it's invalid. If I then click to continue w/o the logon and password, it then gives me an error when it is trying to add the d-link. I have tried everything. My Westell IP is 192.168.1.1. How can I access and add the d-link routers? Is there an easier way?

I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.

Cisco Routers :: RVS 4000 - Allow Radio Button Stippled Out
Jan 17, 2012This type of issue has been posted time and time again by others. In this particular instance the ability to deny and allow access based on a time and day for one or more MAC id or IP address or range of addresses does not work. Because the code is so "weak" that it cannot handle a policy which passes the midnight threshold into the morning (the test is actually commented out in the code), one is forced to write one, perhaps two inverse permit rule(s). In this case, it cannot be done because the "allow" radio button is stippled out.
Some simple digging reveals that the file AccessRes.htm gets to the browser with the "allow" radio button stippled out because the token "disabled" appears in the generated html.

I have several of these devices. They are all new V2 units. They all have the latest version of the firmware and they are all broken the same way. This behavior is the same on various flavors of browser. As an experiment, based on SOP responses I've read, I downloaded and flashed with the latest firmware (same version as delivered), and then performed the factory reset. No change. It's broken.
Cisco Routers :: RVS4000 With Verizon DSL / Westell 7500?
Mar 18, 2012We have an existing RVS4000 that has been coexisting peacefully with an ISP managed Netopia 2241N. That configuration has worked fine for over a year.The company is switching to using Verizon DSL instead. Verizon sent a Westell Model 7500 router. The router works fine with a standalone PC but, in none of the modes can I get internet connectivity through the Westell to the RVS4000. I can't ping the gateway or the DNS addresses and there is zero activity. I've tried the default "routed bridge" settings on the modem as well as the "bridge" settings. I can only get these working directly on a PC but as soon as I put the RVS4000 in between nothing seems to be getting through. I've tried turning off all Firewall features in both devices but hasn't worked.
There is a single, static IP. What specific modes and settings should be in the RVS4000 to communicate with the Westell Model 7500 in "bridge" mode?What adjustments should be made to the Westell to pass along the necessary ports that will be needed?Even though it is a business account, Verizon refuses any assistance beyond getting the unit functioning with a single computer and, if requested, setting their Westell to "bridge" mode.

People could connect to it, or people could enable WPA for more secured? Could this modem/router act as wireless without the need of a DSL link through Verizon? I know on some wireless routers others are able to connect the modem to router using a WAN port, and then router to PC using a LAN port. I read in the user manual that it is best to turn off the router when not in use for better security measures, but there in no power button on the router. May 13, 2013I was given this router (it's my 3rd one) and cannot get the reset button to reset the password. I have run throught a 30/30/30 reset as well as just holding the button in for the standard 30 seconds.
I know the router works, as in i can ping it. It asks for a password when i go to 192.168.1.1, but *blank* and "admin" do not work. When i click the cancel button it displays a pink(salmon) screen that says "401 Unauthorized Authrization required". (all of this is when i am connected to it with an ethernet cable to #1)
When it's sitting there it has an led lit over power and one ove wlan which flickers from time to time.
