Routers / Switches :: DLINK Router Drops The Signal At 9:15
Feb 6, 2011At 9:15 each night my DLINK router drops the signal.I've tried to unplug it but that doesn't work but it is working again each morning. I can plug directly into the cable modem and it works so I assume it is fine.Is there a time setting on the router?

Mar 15, 2012I um using ATT UVERSE for my Internet connection. Now I use a Net-gear what is plugged into the PC and into the ATT "Gateway" How they call it. What is how I see it nothing different than a Router with ATT Logo on, but now to my question I have a LAN Cable going to my living room and have a switch there for all my TV ? PO-Box for streaming my direct TV Internet etc. Now I have not perfect Wireless in the whole house.. no I thought can I use the Net-gear Router in the Living room instead of a switch and also send a wireless signal from there.

All instructions were followed to install the EnGenius M5000. However, only the Power,Lan, and Wan light indicators are on but the Link/Signal indicators - red, yellow and green are not coming on.I tried pinging 192.168.1.1 according to the default IP address, but still there was no responds. Dec 8, 2012How do I use an Actiontec 1000 modem (with wireless) and a TP-Link 4 port cable/DSL router and still have a wireless signal? When I connect the ethernet from the modem to the router, the router lights come on but the wireless signal goes down. Want 2 PC's wired (only one port on modem) and still want wirelss signal.

I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.

Apr 29, 2011i have a router connected to my ISP which can get me 2 different IP's at all times (the router gets one IP).Now i want to get my computer to have a different ip as my router has (seen from outside my home network) - i want my computer that accesses the internet through my router to have a different IP as my router. I know that if my computer gets it's IP from my router's subnet, then it will (seen from outside) always have the same IP as my router. So the question is how do i get around this ? Do i just have to change my PC's DNS / gateway settings to match my router's ? The PC is connected to my router via wifi. Or would forwarding some ports on my router work ?

Mar 30, 2011i have a pppoe connection coming through ethernet line. i.e i need to use dialer that i have created on the desktop..and i have bought a new Linksys E1000 router v2.1..now my problem is that1) After entering all the settings correctly my router worked for 3 days after that the net is not working.i.e it cannot connect to the internet keeps giving the error cannot get IP from PPPOE(i have connected my router in pppoe mode and use the router status page to connect and disconnect)I have also updated the router to the latest firmware 2.1.01 and after that the problems have started.My Net works if i directly plug the Ethernet cable in the PC.the problem starts when i connect it to my router.

Oct 27, 2011I'm trying to remove my router from my home network and connect my computer directly into the line coming into the house. I'm doing this to, among other things, run some tests to evaluate the impact of my router on my bandwidth.However, removing the line seems to be causing problems.Everything is fine when I'm behind the router, but once I unplug the line from the router and plug it directly into my computer, I can't connect to the internet. I get a "limited or no access" error on my Local Area Network. Once I reconnect the router, though, everything's fine.I've tried several things.I've tried turning off the Windows Firewall to no avail (I have no other firewalls on my computer).I've checked to make sure that "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are checked, which they are.I ran ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew only to receive the following error:"An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out."I'm running Windows 7 behind a Linksys WRT54G router.My line is (I think) fiber-optic, since there's no modem anywhere in the house, just a small beige termination box.I've posted dumps of ipconfig /all with and without the router.
