View 1 Replies View Relatedour company backbone is hp 5406, and desktop switches are hp 2510 currently we are working with ipv4.if we want to start use IPV6 for test environment, what’s things we need to enable in our backbone/regular switches.i mean for example if we want to set static IPV6 address for 2 servers and send ping between them, or even make new vlan with IVP6 subnet, and use it like regular vlan but with static ip's(until we got ipv6 dhcp).i have hp 5406 manual for IPV6 but i can't understand what i really need to do for start using IPV6.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm tryng to configure a vpn with a cisco small business pro router, model srp527W-k9-g5 But when i try to set the “remote ip” in Remote traffic selection a I have to set (10.0.0.0) a message said:
“Invalid IP Address Format”
If i change the ip and i put 10.0.0.1 i have not error but I have to put 10.0.0.0 and if i configure it on a cisco WRV210 (por example) i have no error.
I have read through the manual. My question is what is the proper format to input into the ACL rule "Range"? Would as an example work- 192.168.0.1 - 192.169.255.254? Will the range effectively work? Or does it have to be 192.168.0.0 - 192.169.255.255?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy ISP provides IPv6 connectivity in the form of dual stack IPv4/IPv6 with DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation. Using a Cisco IOS-based router I managed to make such a connection by using as a template the Cisco IOS configuration file that my ISP has posted as an example in the following link:

The main point on this configuration is a PPPoE connection with:
interface Dialer46
ipv6 address autoconfig default
ipv6 enable

View 3 Replies View RelatedI enabled dual stack on my rv042g router but its not recieving ipv6 information from my isp. My isp is Time Warner in Milwaukee. They assure me that they are ipv6 ready and assume the problem is on my end. All they want to do is have me connect one computer up to my modem. What good is that when I have a network that needs service. The router needs to be working not just one pc. My ipv4 is working perfectly. It is obtaining all information automaticly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have several RV082 routers in production, most of them on IPv4-only access. I want to roll out IPv6 on all these networks and have set up a test environment for this.I did start with a factory-defaulted router with a fixed public IPv4 address. IPv4 network access does work as expected. With the 6to4 option disabled, the RV082's IPv6 routing table contains several entries for local addresses, but not public ones, as expected. When enabling the 6to4 transition function as described in SBKB article #567, three new entries are created: [code]
With the router's diagnostic ping function I can ping the next 6to4 relay on IPv4 (192.88.99.1) and IPv6 (2002:c058:6301::). But I cannot ping that next hop address given as default route (::c058:6301).The RV does advertise routes with the correct 6to4 prefix on the LAN side, and the clients connected to it configure themselves with appropriate addresses. However I was unable to ping any IPv6 both in the 2002::/16 as well as in the 2000::/15 range from any system on the RV's LAN side. When trying to add a static route which routes the 2000:: prefix with prefix length 15 to next hop 2002:c058:6301:: with metric 1, I keep getting the message "Please input IPv6 Address with correct format!"could there something wrong with this default route? How can it be changed? And what is the problem with the route I am trying to add?
When I attempt to save IPv6 Router Advertisement settings, it fails and displays this cryptic message:
Addtionally many of the settings in this dialog are not in the PDF manual. Seems odd - like this portion of the Router Configuration is broken.

I have a few questions regarding IPv6.
Question 1.
I have no idea how to route IPv6. My provider has provided me with a subnet. This subnet is for example 1:1:1::/48
The router of the provider is located at 1:1:1::1 and my router should get 1:1:1::2(Cisco router). Every subnet I want to create must be routed by 1:1:1::2, for example if I want to create 1:1:1:1111::/64 it needs to be routerd by 1:1:1::2
How do I configure this on the RV220w?
Question 2.
I have the possibility to create vlans on the RV220W. I can configure IPv4 addressen per vlan. Only for IPv6 this is not possible. How do I configure this or when will new software be released to configure this?Or do I have to edit the configuration file?
What are the IPv6 anycast addresses using for?, are they some kind of broadcast? I have a router 2811 I'm configuring ipv6, do I need to use these addresses?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the recently released firmware version 1.2.0.9 for the RV110W router mentions in the release notes that DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation is now supported.
Does that mean that this feature will also be implemented in some future firmware release (if we ever see one) for the RV220W router? This is the method used by most if not all ISPs around the world (e.g. Comcast) for IPv6 and the only one RV220W does not currently support. P.S. As of beta version 1.0.4.13 there is no support for IPv6 Prefix Delegation.
ive tried restacking and reset ips and even checked on a different computer but they all continue to not allow to connect to ipv6
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just spent a number of hours getting a site-to-site VPN tunnel and Cisco Quick Connect client running on my WRVS4400N and RVS400. Turns out the problem was the routers don't route IPv6 properly and it takes precedence over IPv4
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter choosing the option "IPv4 and IPV6 Dual-Stack" in Networking > IPv6 > IP Mode, the router's configuration website is not accessible any more using it's IPv4 address or via remote management (WAN IP). However, all other router services (routing, VPN, etc.) are working fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe products from SRP 540 series line (541w etc) will ever support IPv6 features or remote VPN (eg SSL VPN or Cisco QuickVPN)? If yes, is there a time horizon?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAt this moment (firmware 1.0.3.5) the router has no IPv6 firewall and therefore when used in a typical dual stack IPv4/IPv6 network it has no protection regarding IPv6 traffic. Hopefully this will be fixed with a firmware update before the World IPv6 Day on the 6th of June 2012.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have on my ethernet linux box, that is responsible for IPv6. This box is configured as IPv6 gateway from my network and it also sends RA to the network. All devices on ethernet network can work on IPv6 without problem. Clients, that are connected to WiFi, they just receive the RA from this box -> this packet is sended over WRVS4400N to the wifi network. But all other traffic do not pass the WRVS4400N, so the wifi client is not able to ping the IPv6 gateway. There is no problem on IPv4, there the wifi client is able to communicate with any ethernet device.I have tested WRVS4400N setting "ipv4 only". If I switch on "ipv4 and ipv6", than all devices will get some additional IPv6 adresses and the communication from WiFi client to IPv6 router is not working again. How to configure the WRVS4400N to bridge all IPv6 traffic between WiFi and ethernet?
